Chapter 290: Mr. Evan Lavish Collins
Chapter 290: Mr. Evan Lavish Collins
Before Rose left the house, she met all the staff who worked for them. She was surprised to learn that more than twenty people worked in this house. During the brief meeting, Rose also met the assistant assigned to help her, Laura Martin. However, she didn’t have much time to chat with Laura. Because Evan was already waiting for her in the car. He looked impatient.
"Wife, from now on, Sam will stay with us as a full-time bodyguard. He moved today. So wherever you go, he will follow you...." Evan said as their car drove towards the city.
Why did he suddenly ask Sam to live with them?
Rose glanced at Evan, wanting to ask his reason, but his face was straight ahead, focused on driving the vehicle. Seeing him look so focused on the road, she put the matter aside. She will ask him later.
She opened her cell phone and started reading the incoming text messages from her mother. Molly tells her that she is heading to East City with her father. After replying to her mother, she opened her office group chat. It was amusing to read their conversation. As usual, all the single souls in the group were actively discussing their future girlfriends. A topic they talked about more than office matters.
"We have arrived!"
Rose slowly raised her head. She was surprised to see their car parked in front of the main entrance of the unfinished skyscraper. Looking at the layout of the building, she could guess that this building would be used as an office.
"Where are we?" She asked while looking around.
Rose could see they were next to the Collins’ Luxury shopping center in the Entertainment District, a block away from her current office in the business district.
She was familiar with this place because, in her previous life, she often came to this shopping center.
Why did Evan bring her to this building? Her wedding gift in this building? Or does he just come here to visit his company project?
As she got out of the car, something suddenly crossed her mind, and she stood next to Evan.
Did this man give her an office in this building?
Feeling excited, she smiled at him, "Hubby, I can guess what my present is?"
"Really?" Evan took her hand as they walked to the entrance.
"Yeah! How many floors did you give me? If you want to give me office space, make sure you give me at least five floors..." Rose said playfully.
It could be that what she said will be granted by her lavish husband, right!?
If that were the case, she would not need to rent a place for her office. They can move in here until the Wilson Group Building is built. And apparently, the Wilson Group building was only on her mind. Because until now, Oliver still hasn’t reported to her about the land they want to buy. It seems Oliver is struggling to get land that fits her criteria.
Evan smiled mysteriously. He didn’t answer but continued walking into the building. She followed him and was surprised to see Marvin Sanders standing in the empty Lobby. He seemed to be waiting for them.
She also saw a middle-aged man of average height in a black suit. The man looked like the person in charge of this building.
"Sister-in-law, nice to see you again." Marvin Sanders greeted Rose without reaching out for a handshake. He learns from the past that his jealous boss will never allow them to touch his wife, even if it’s just a handshake. His jealousy was keen.
"Hello, Marvin. Nice to see you again..." Rose smiled, thinking about yesterday she met him at her parent’s wedding. Still, she didn’t have time to chat with him because her grandfather was busy introducing her to his friends.
The man standing beside Marvin also greeted Evan and Rose. He knew Evan Collins, one of his boss’s best friends and heir to the Collins Group. But he had never seen this woman before. He was curious because this woman was casually talking to his boss. She even called out his first name casually. Who’s she?
"Sister-in-law, this is Ben Davies in charge of this new office building." Marvin introduced Ben to Rose and was greeted with a confused look by Rose.
Why did Marvin introduce Ben Davies to her in such detail?
Was her guess right? Evan bought her an office in this building? Oh my god.
Instantly, she felt happy but only for a few seconds because, what Marvin said next, made Rose’s knees feel like jelly.
"Ben, this lady is Ms. Rose Spencer, wife of Mr. Evan Collins. She’s your new boss. She owns this building...."
Rose, "..."
She didn’t hear wrong, did she?
Her husband gave her the entire building, not only several floors, as requested. The nearly finished luxurious building now belonged to her.
Instantly she felt her head spinning.
If her guess was correct, this building was 30 floors high, just like her dream, having such a tall building and being in such a prime location.
Slowly she turned her gaze to Evan, who was looking at her with a loving smile. She melted. This man, how could he treat her like this? He provided everything she needed.
A thought suddenly crossed her mind; How did he know she was looking for land to build the Wilson Group building?
"Lavish!" Rose muttered. But Evan, hearing what she said clearly, frowned and was confused by her reaction.
Shouldn’t she be happy now? Or maybe mad at him? But why did she say ’lavish’?
"What?" He asked.
"Is your middle name LAVISH?"
"Wife?" He frowned, confused.
Rose chuckled before continuing, "Mr. Evan Lavish Collins?"
"Hahaha..." Evan rubbed the back of his neck before continuing, "Yeah, you can call me that way. But, Wife, I only do this kind of thing for you... because you own me, and only you have this privilege."
Marvin was speechless, watching his boss doing PDA right before his eyes. In public. Damn!
As for Ben, he was shocked to hear that this beautiful woman is Evan Collins’ wife. The number one bachelor in town is now sold out. And he just bought this building for his wife. Ben was utterly speechless at how rich Evan Collins was.
