When Rose woke up in the morning, she didn’t see Evan beside her.

"He must be outside preparing breakfast, right!?" Rose talked to herself as she glanced at the clock on the nightstand. It was 8 AM. She was surprised.

How could she wake up this late? And, how could she always wake up after Evan? This is not right! If her mother knows, she will scold her.

Rose quickly dragged herself to the bathroom to get ready. Today at 9 AM, she has to meet Oliver and Sam to get authorization to open an official branch in this city. Oliver told her last night that they would confront the high-ranking government officials in charge of the authorization. They have solid evidence that this official was bribed by the Global Group who eye Rapid Realty.

They will do the soft-way first. However, if the corrupt officials stall time to sign the permit application for opening a branch office that they submitted, then they would use the hard way. It is their last option. Oliver has a lot of evidence that could incriminate the corrupt officials. The evidence could make his career stop instantly, and maybe he will be imprisoned for the rest of his life.

Surprisingly, this kind of practice it’s been going on for several years in this city. Several companies will benefit from each auction. And on average, the winner of the tender is a local company owned by a political party ruling this city.

But it looks like this dirty practice will end this year. The high-ranking government officials and the auction committee were unlucky now that the Wilson Group took part this time, and their dirty practice would soon be exposed. Rose, can’t let something like this happen. Not when her company was involved in this auction.

If her company did not participate, Rose would just close her eyes. Don’t want to make a fuss with others. But, this time, it was a different story.

When Rose left the bedroom, she didn’t see Evan in the dining room. But she saw on the dining table that there was an English breakfast neatly arranged. And also, there is a post-it stuck to the green tea cup.

Rose smiled when she read the message. She quickly finished her breakfast and texted Sam when she was ready. She will go down to the lobby after Sam calls her. Actually, she doesn’t need to go with them because Oliver and Sam can handle this problem. It’s just that Rose wants to see how Oliver and Gavin handle this situation.

When Rose got down in the lobby, she met Sam. He is waiting for her in front of the elevator.

Today, Rose did not bring her laptop bag, only her small Birkin bag. She also wears her casual outfit, a white blouse paired with a khaki culotte. She deliberately disguised herself as an ordinary staff member, not the owner of the Wilson group.

Rose wasn’t going to meddle in Oliver and Gavin’s business. She was just following them to watch the show.

Apart from himself and Gavin, two other assistants are ready to take care of their big boss’ needs. Besides, there is Marvin Sanders. Even though Marvin is the CEO of Dream Inc, his status is still the same in Evan’s eyes. Marvin is his trusted assistant, ready to be bothered with his personal affairs.

Rose had heard from Evan that he had an assistant in every city, but so far, she had only met two people; Sam and Gavin. She could only nod in understanding Sam’s words.

Along the way, Rose didn’t talk much; she just stared at her cellphone, reading some news. But Oliver’s curious eyes looked sharply through the rearview mirror at her.

"Congrats Rose..." Oliver’s sudden words make Rose raise her head and look at Oliver.

Rose was confused. Why did he suddenly say ’congratulations’?

"For what?"

"Your engagement..." Oliver turned his gaze again to the street ahead when he saw Rose’s face turn to blush. "Well, I never imagined you would marry this young Rose. I always thought of you as a woman who dreams of being happily married. But I never thought it would be this young."

"Why do you think that way, Oliver?" She never said anything about her plan for the future to Oliver. How could he guess so?

"Well, I thought you might plan to marry right after your company is on the top, or at least more stable. Well, you know what I mean, right?" Oliver chuckled. He knows Rose’s will-be-in-law is Collins Group. How could this girl dare to marry Evan so soon? Was she not worried that her status could be scorned by a wealthy family like The Collins?

Oliver knows how rich people like Collins look for an in-law because he has experienced that kind of culture since childhood. His mother, who came from an ordinary family, had to suffer when she was expelled by the Hester family, his father’s family. Rose couldn’t answer Oliver’s words. Indeed she is worried about it. But, Evan promised her that his Grandpa is different from his father. That’s why they will meet his Grandpa after their return to the capital to get the blessing. This time, Rose would entrust this matter to Evan.
