Unbeknownst to Iris, a tall, pale-faced man clad in a long black coat stood atop the hill where she had previously stopped. He remained motionless, fixated on her every move.

"She is undeniably highly skilled. Could she really be an assassin in her previous life?"

Iris waited patiently for her target to appear. Tonight, she will end her first mission!

Several minutes passed without any movement in the room; impatience bothered her. And her limited vision only added to her frustration.

’Seems like a trip to the city is a must. I need to buy some more gadgets,’ Iris muttered.

She urgently needed night vision binoculars, advanced technological devices for efficient surveillance, and a small camera with recording capabilities. She also needs equipment for undercover operations, such as wigs and others.

Iris was well aware that buying those things in this small town would be impossible. She also doesn’t want to order the items online because she can’t reveal her actual address and the city where she lives.

In her previous life, she could have easily purchased these tools from her trusted dealer.

Unfortunately, her current memory retains no trace of the people she knew or the contacts she made in her previous life.

All that remains is the memory of herself as an assassin who died because of someone’s betrayal. However, she has no memory of who the person who killed her was, nor does she remember who her enemy is.

She also knows her assets, but the challenge is her current residence in a faraway country on another continent.

Claiming all of her assets at this point was a risk Iris didn’t want to take. She was worried about accidentally warning her enemy in her previous life that she wasn’t dead yet. Such actions were impossible for her now, as she was still in the process of regaining her strength.

Since her reincarnation in this small town, she had maintained a cautious approach to her financial dealings, relying solely on her banks; only she knew about it — her Swiss bank account.

However, Iris intended to return to her home country and investigate deeper into her past, seeking the truth about how she died.

Iris took a low sign.

She started to feel impatient to wait. She glanced at her sports watch; it was 8 PM, but that old geezer Alberto West still did not appear in his bedroom.

’Where is he!?’ Iris wonders.

Iris’s gaze remained fixed on the room. Despite the dim light, she still can see any sign of movement.

’Is it too early for that old geezer to sleep, or—’ Iris’s thoughts trailed off as she weighed the possibilities.

A troubling thought suddenly gripped her, causing her body to tense up. The image that flashed in her mind was frightening—Alberto West engaging in nasty activities with his adopted children.

Iris decides to enter the house. However, a thought struck her again just before she was about to leap onto the veranda. Her invisible phone, how could she have almost forgotten about it?

’Does the cell phone have a tracking feature?’ Iris muttered. She needed confirmation that Alberto was indeed in the house. Without delay, she summoned her invisible cell phone.

Iris stood in disbelief as her eyes locked onto a new application that had appeared on the phone screen, bearing the " Dark Angel " inscription.

"Mission," Iris read softly, her gaze dropping to the word beneath the ’Dark Angel’ icon. The gravity of the situation prompted her to take swift action, compelling her to open the application without delay.

Another wave of shock washed over her when she found the name ’Alberto West’ written in deep red letters. Clicking on the name, all the necessary information appears. Amidst the amount of data, one element caught her eye—the app displayed a different widget—a black widget decorated with gold-plated letters.

’What’s this? Why did Gavriel not inform me about this?’ Iris was confused as her eyes fell on this new application.

However, deep curiosity pushed her beyond hesitation, forcing her to press the <God Eye> widget immediately.

Instantly, words materialized in Iris’ line of vision—not on her cell phone screen—nearly causing her to lose her balance on the branch and fall.

’W-What the hell is this!’ she stuttered with disbelief, confusion, and fear. She closed her eyes to try to process the unexpected sight. After a while, she regained her composure. She carefully opened her eyes, only to find the blue text still floating before her.

’Is it really that simple?’

Torn between confusion and an insatiable curiosity to uncover about <God Eye>, Iris finally whispered, ’ACTIVATE.’

Abruptly, a radiant silver glimmer enveloped her vision, temporarily blinding her. Instantly, she closed her eyes once more. When she dared to open them again, the sight that greeted her nearly made her fall. Only her quick reflexes prevented the fall.

’Iris, please stay focused!’ She scolds herself inwardly. And slowly, she directed her gaze back to the Alberto West residence.

What she witnessed this time was utter nonsense, as if her mind was on the verge of exploding. Her vision has changed, allowing her to see through walls and make her surroundings crystal clear. Even the most minor details appear magnified, like looking at them through a magnifying glass.

’Heaven! Is this the power of the God Eye? Have my eyes gained a new superpower skill?’ Iris rejoiced. However, her joy suddenly diminished as a realization enveloped her like a shroud of ice.

Too shocked, Iris covered her ears, trying to fend off the strange noises that now sounded loud in her ears.

Iris’ sense of hearing increased to an astonishing degree. The rustle of delicate branches rubbing against each other when the wind blows. The screeching of car tires in the distance echoed for miles away. She also heard so many sounds that made her feel dizzy and confused. Then... Alberto West’s voice came from inside the house.

’This is amazing!!’

A wide grin spread across Iris’ face as she got the hearing ability. But, in a few seconds, a fierce, murderous aura immediately emerged from her when she heard moaning and crying from inside the house.
