Xyronos, still looking at Iris’s worried eyes, didn’t answer her immediately. He observed her anxiously.

He could tell what was going on in her mind and heart, but he tried to suppress his emotions even though knowing what she thought was difficult and painful for him.

His hand on Iris’ waist slowly moved up, and he gently held her cheek; he made her face him. Then, slowly, he brought his head closer to her lips.

Before Iris could react, his kiss dominantly enveloped her lips, coaxing her stiff tongue to intertwine with his in a teasing manner. Every nerve in her body tensed up as he tightened his hold around her. However, just as he sought to delve deeper into her mouth, he felt a forceful push.

Xyronos was surprised when he saw her angry-looking eyes staring back at him.
