That afternoon, Iris reappeared at Gavriel’s house, puzzled about his insistence despite her plans to nap.

She saw him sitting on the veranda steps, smiling at her as if knowing she would come.

"Why did you call me again?" Iris asked curiously. She joined him and sat on the step.

"There’s something you need to see," a mysterious smile crossed Gavriel’s proud face as he directed her gaze toward the forest in a specific direction. "You can activate your divine eyes, Iris!" he urged.

Iris frowned, growing suspicious. She knew Gavriel often surprised her with strange things.

"I refuse! I don’t want to watch your ’show,’ Gavriel..." Iris felt uncomfortable, considering that Gavriel’s hobby was often watching adult scenes, something she hated. She’d return to her afternoon nap instead of accompanying him to watch his favorite show.

Confused by Iris’s response, Gavriel turned to look at her. He nearly choked when he saw her eyes glaring sharply at him, her face reddening in frustration and annoyance.

"What the hell are you thinking, Iris Gray!?" Gavriel couldn’t help but ask, though he had already anticipated her answer. This girl must be wrongly accused of him. Again. As she usually did.

Gavriel gasped in shock at her words, but his surprise quickly transformed into laughter.

"Bwahahaha..." He couldn’t believe Iris was trying to humor him with her shallow mind.

Iris looked at him, even more puzzled by his response. A crease formed on her forehead. "Why did you laugh?"

"Oh my... Iris Gray, it would be best if you stopped assuming things about me," Gavriel said between his laughs. "I told you a few times I’m not that kind of person. Tsk! You’re such a terrible friend..." he shook his head, turning his gaze towards Justin’s whereabouts.

In just a second, his laughter faded, and his expression turned serious. "Iris, activate your divine eyes!" he commanded while his gaze still fixed on Justin. "You’ll regret not witnessing this—"

Although confused by Gavriel’s command, Iris immediately activated her divine eyes. Despite the limited range, she could see Justin clearly, standing a few miles away from them.

She frowned, trying to see what happened to him, but it didn’t take long; her calm expression turned into shock.

While in the middle of the forest.

Justin was shocked when the mountain bear he spotted a few miles from here this morning suddenly appeared before his eyes, blocking his way back to return to Gavriel’s house.

Looking so close to the bears, only less than 5 meters, he feels so tiny before this black bear. Their eye contact made him shiver, unable to move.

When he saw the bear’s eyes turn red, he felt frightened to imagine the bear would jump and tear him apart.

What he can do now is pretend to be a wood.

The result remained the same after a few attempts to communicate with Gavriel. No response. Feeling exhausted to force his mental mind, Justin could only pray in his heart.

He hoped the bear would vanish from that place or Gavriel would arrive to help him.

However, his hope shatters when he opens his eyes. The bear is still there, looking at him sharply like he ridicules him with his red eyes.

’Oh God, this is my end!? I will end up in the bear stomach?’ Justin asked himself, feeling frustrated. He couldn’t imagine he would die like this.

His hands clenched into fists, consumed by anger at his stupidity and weakness.

In recent days, he had realized that he wasn’t actually a four-year-old kid. However, the curse had stripped away most of his knowledge and memories, leaving him bewildered. Despite his efforts to recollect, everything remained hazy.
