Chapter 170: Completely Changed

Chapter 170: Completely Changed

"WHAT!" Iris shouted in shock.

She promptly sat up on the bed and glanced at the window. Then, she checked her watch and was astonished to discover it was already Monday.

"You should wake me up, Xavier. How could I sleep for so long?"

She tried to get out of bed but stopped when she heard him saying, "You were sleeping so peacefully, and I was afraid you would experience pain again if I woke you up," Xavier explained. "Are you feeling hungry?" he asked when he heard a noise from her belly.

Iris felt her face redden as her stomach growled. She was indeed hungry.

"I’m starving, but I need to shower first," she said, rushing to the bathroom, imagining how terrible she looked.

"Take your time, Iris. I’ll have the chefs prepare your dinner," he said, a faint smile gracing his pale face. Then, send a word to Justin to ask the Chef to prepare dinner for Iris.

After that, he headed to his office room to meet Niles and Killian, who were already waiting for him.

Meanwhile, in the bathroom, Iris was shocked by her appearance, still wearing the same clothes and bob-style wig.

She hastily removed all her clothing and then took off her wig. As soon as she pulled the wig, her hair was revealed.

Iris was utterly stunned, gazing at her hair, which had now completely transformed into ash-gray, her natural hair color from her previous life.

"Heavens! Why has my hair turned like this?"

She touched her hair, bewildered by the sight.

Even though this hair color was stunning, Iris disliked it because it was too attention-grabbing. In her previous life, she had never allowed her hair to grow past her neck, always maintaining a pixie hairstyle. She also consistently wears a wig on missions or dyes her hair black.

She felt uncomfortable seeing her long gray hair, even though it was flowing beautifully down her back.

"You look incredibly stunning, Iris!" She tries to compliment herself, but still, she feels awkward.

...

Soon, after she finished her shower and drying her hair, Iris selected a random outfit from her cupboard. She didn’t realize she chose a knee-length white dress with a floral pattern from the waist down.

After putting it on, she looked at her reflection in the mirror and was taken aback by her appearance.

She was left speechless, staring at her altered look.

Soon, however, she realized something.

"Why do I have this kind of dress!?"

She reopened the cupboard where she had retrieved the dress and, to her surprise, found that all the clothes inside had now changed, with feminine dresses in various colors. She couldn’t spot the dark clothing she typically wore.

Worried that the maid had replaced all her clothing, she hurriedly opened another cupboard and was relieved to see her usual attire still there.

Fortunately, there was only one cupboard filled with unfamiliar clothes she had never worn in her previous life.

Iris glanced at her reflection again in the mirror, saying, "Jeez... why do I look so strange in this?" She squinted at her reflection. "Should I change?"

"No, you look lovely in this pretty dress, Iris," Xavier’s voice came from the door, causing Iris to jump in surprise. She swallowed silently, embarrassed because Xavier was gazing at her with an almost enchanted expression.

"Looks strange, doesn’t it?" Iris asked. "I’ve never worn clothes like this, and I don’t feel comfortable..." She glanced at her reflection again.

"You do look a bit unusual," Xavier’s voice sounded closer. Iris turned to find him now standing right beside her. They stood side by side while looking at their reflections in the mirror.

"I know! I feel odd in these clothes. I’ll change," Iris said before moving toward the wardrobe; Xavier’s hand suddenly gripped her waist, turning her to face him. In the process, her body collided with his sturdy frame.

"What are you doing, Xav—"

Xavier tenderly sealed his lips to Iris’s warm lips, causing her words to linger on the tip of her tongue. She could feel the coolness of Xavier’s tongue as it danced inside her mouth. Rather than resisting, she reciprocated his kiss with equal passion.

After their lips parted, Iris’ breathing became heavier. Hastily, she tried to fill her tight chest with as much air as possible while observing the tenderness in his golden eyes.

Iris felt exceedingly happy with the passion she had just experienced. She responded with an alluring smile as she sensed his cold thumb gently caressing the corners of her lips.

Her cheeks flushed red.

"My Lady, truly peculiar," Xavier’s gentle voice echoed once more. "You look so beautiful in clothes like this, but never wear them..."

Iris rolled her eyes.

"Why? You didn’t believe me?"

Iris remained silent.

Xavier’s head moved closer to her face, instinctively causing Iris to pull her body away from him.

"If you don’t believe me, let me kiss you again. Maybe you’ll believe me after our—"

"I believe you," Iris swiftly interjected.

"Really? But your eyes say otherwise," he remarked, narrowing his gaze at her. "Iris, you still want me to kiss you, right? Don’t be shy. It’s just a warm, gentle kiss..." He smiled, sensing that Iris might be feeling shy.

Iris, "..."

"I’m starving, Xavier," Iris responded, using her ultimate excuse. She knew Xavier’s weakness—this man would never tolerate anything related to her human needs, such as sleeping and eating. He would drop everything each time she mentioned it to ensure she received what she needed.

"Let’s go!" he said, and they appeared at the dining table.

"X-Xavier, you!" Iris was left speechless.

"Huh? Why do you look unhappy? Is the food unappetizing and causing you to lose your appetite?"

Iris slowly shook her head.

"Then why?" he asked, puzzled.

"I haven’t even put on shoes yet, but you’ve already teleported me here, that’s why," she explained while glancing at her bare feet.

Xavier was taken aback. Without uttering a word, he disappeared and, a few seconds later, reappeared with shoes in hand.

"Owh...My apologies, my lady," he said while half-kneeling before Iris and placing the shoes on her feet.

At that moment, Killian and Justin entered the dining room. Their jaws dropped to the floor as they witnessed their Lord kneeling before Iris, putting a shoe on her.
