’How could she have such power!?’ Justin wonders while walking toward Iris.

"Since when did you get this power, Iris?" Gavriel couldn’t help but ask, astonished by Iris, who could now stop time and leave Mafia Lord frozen in his tracks, with his gun aiming right behind Iris’ head.

Iris ignored the two men’s curiosity about her new ability, stopping time. She focused on her target as she realized she couldn’t waste any more precious minutes.

She turns to look at the Mafia Lord.

Iris’s blood ran cold as she watched the bullet teetering at the brink of the gun’s barrel. Swiftly, she stepped forward toward the Mafia Lord, redirecting his gun, and, with her Golden Gun, she shot him in the heart.

The moment time resumed, the Mafia Lord didn’t even have a chance to utter a word before his lifeless body thudded to the floor.

After confirming her target’s death, she put her magic gun into her space ring and turned her gaze in a particular direction.

A wide smile spread across her face as she met Xavier’s proud and approving eyes.

’Congratulations, darling, you did it!’ Xavier beamed at her before glancing at Lucian, who stood beside him.

"Lucian, I’ll escort her back now. You can handle things here on your own," Xavier declared. He then approached Iris. Before they disappeared, Xavier instructed Justin to stay behind to help Lucian, and he should return to Willow Town after they were done in this place.

Not long after...

A few footsteps rushed toward the Mafia Lord’s room upon hearing gunshots.

Several guards entered the room, their shock evident in their eyes as they witnessed their Boss lying motionless on the floor, his face touching the ground, and there was a gun in his hand.

They all knew that if Madam D was angered, no one could stop her, not even their Boss.

Their bodies froze as they scanned the room, searching for Madam D’s whereabouts but finding no one present.

When Iris and Xavier arrived, she felt a troubling pain in her head.

Iris grabbed Xavier’s hand and said, "Xavier, my head hurts so much..." She pinched her temple as she spoke.

Panic overtook him as he saw her in pain. He brings her to their bedroom. After ensuring she was comfortably lying on the bed, he asked, "Iris, is the pain getting worse?"

"Hmm... it’s like someone hit me with a huge hammer in my skull..." she replied while closing her eyes. "Is this what happened to me last night before I fainted?" she softly asked. She didn’t remember how the feeling was, but she was sure this was what she experienced.

She tried to find what memories, but nothing she could recall. Her mind was like a black hole; nothing new memories from her previous life were left there, only those she remembered now.

"Yes," Xavier responded with a tense voice. "Iris, I’ll call Lucian. Maybe he can assess your condition."

She slowly opened her eyes and held Xavier’s hand to prevent him from leaving the bed. "No! I only need to sleep, and Xavier, I need you here. I feel like my body is burning..." She looked into his eyes for a few seconds and then closed her eyes again, trying to rest. "Please, sleep with me. I want to feel your coldness."

Xavier was surprised to hear her words.

’Did she invite me to sleep with her?’ Xavier wondered.

Without further inquiry, he promptly lay beside her. He pulled her into his embrace after seeing beads of sweat on her forehead.

Xavier no longer recalled how long they had held each other.

"How long did I sleep this time?" she asked, her voice hoarse and unfamiliar to her ears. Her throat felt dry, and she noticed certain parts of her clothes were soaked with sweat.

"It’s almost dark," he replied, slowly loosening his embrace as Iris shifted away.

"Ah, just a few hours," she smiled faintly, though she felt discomfort within. She needed to shower and change her clothes.

"No, it’s the next day," he said calmly.

"WHAT!" Iris shouted in shock. She promptly sat up on the bed and glanced at the window. Then, she checked her watch and was astonished to discover it was already Monday.

"You should wake me up, Xavier..."
