Chapter 153: Getting Stronger

"X-Xavier... this is strange. I feel like I have become stronger than my body in my previous life," Iris’s smile bloomed when she realized this change.

"Really?"

"Hmm," Iris nodded happily. "Xavier, I wanted to check it..." She said and vanished from the couch, leaving a confused Xavier in his place. He could only smile while he closed his eyes, sensing where she had teleported.

Later, he appeared in the gym room.

He saw Iris standing in front of the punching machine in the corner.

"Stop, Iris!" Xavier said when he saw Iris getting ready to hit the punching machine.

Iris’s hand hung in the air. She looked at him with a slight frown on her forehead.

"Why did you stop me?" Iris asked, confused. "I just need to see what score I get if I punch this machine."

Xavier walked to her and stood beside her. "How many scores did you get before?"

"With this weak girl’s body, I’ve never passed the 1000 mark," she explained.

"Okay, you can punch it, but—" Xavier rubbed his forehead, holding back a smile at the thought that Iris would destroy this machine if she used her new powers. "Just touch it casually..."

"Huh! Why?" She frowned, confused. But looking at how serious Xavier was right now, she had no choice but to follow him. She lightly touched the punching bag in front of her with her fist.

Boom!

Instantly, Iris’s eyes widened in shock at what she saw. The red score display on the machine stopped at number 4999.

"How is that possible? This machine must be broken. I just lightly touched the punching bag. I didn’t even use my str—" Iris’s voice trailed off as she realized that her strength had increased significantly.

"If you punch this machine using your new strength, then this machine will be destroyed," Xavier chuckled, then moved toward the machine and pressed a red button under it.

The red punching machine instantly turned into a black punching machine, appearing much sturdier than before.

Iris was shocked by what she saw before her. She looked at Xavier with a confused expression.

"This? Did you put magic in this machine? This looks so awesome..." She now felt amazed by Xavier; he must be more powerful than Gavriel, right?

She certainly believed Gavriel would stop teasing her if she used Xavier’s name as her shield. Just thinking about this made her smile.

Xavier didn’t bother to reply but asked her to try. "Iris, you can punch it now. But no need to use all your power. Just punch with your moderate strength."

He stepped back a few steps, excited to see how strong she was after Lucian had imparted his power and a few skills.

Iris nodded, sharply staring at the black punching bag hanging before her. She clenched her fist and delivered a moderate punch. A booming voice echoed when Iris’s hand touched the black punching bag.

BOOOM!

Once again, Iris was shocked by the numbers in front of her.

"Wow! Almost a million..." She looked at Xavier, who stood behind. "What’s the maximum number for this machine?"

"Two million," Xavier said and walked to her. He touched her slender waist and pulled her into his arms.

Iris blushed at the intimacy that Xavier was sharing with her at this moment. Even though this wasn’t the first time they had been this close, hugging and kissing, his touch felt much different this time after she learned his identity.

There was a thrilling feeling that welled up inside her. Whether it was a good sign or not, she didn’t care. She liked the feeling; it excited her.

"My strength is almost a million..." Iris said softly while looking up to meet his gaze. She couldn’t understand how strong her power was just using the number; she needed to know the exact power she possessed now.

As if knowing her concern, he continued his words, "Let me explain," Xavier said softly. "With a strength of 4999, you could break a normal human’s ribs. And with your strength of almost 1 million, you could topple a large tree, crack a wall, or even break down an iron door with one blow."

Iris felt shocked hearing his explanation. She had scored almost one million just by punching the bag with half her strength. What if she had used all her strength? She might send someone into orbit. Just thinking about it made her feel like flying.

"I can’t believe I’m that strong..." She smiles widely.

"Yes, you are super strong when fighting against humans. But if you were to face that female vampire, you might be the same as her. And just so you know, the female vampire’s strength is not even half of Justin or Niles’ power."

Iris secretly swallowed when she learned that piece of information.

’If Justin and Niles’ powers are that strong, what about Gavriel and Xavier? They could split a mountain with just a single punch.’ She feels goosebumps when she imagines how powerful they are.

Suddenly, something crossed Iris’ mind. She wrapped her arms around Xavier’s waist and said, "Xavier, I want to test my full strength. Please take me to the forest behind..."

Surprised by Iris’ initiative to hug him tightly, Xavier could only smile.

"Alright," he said softly, unable to refuse her. He bent down and carried her. "Hold on tight!"

Iris wrapped her arms around Xavier’s neck and closed her eyes.

When Iris opened her eyes, darkness surrounded them. She silently cursed herself because she had forgotten it was already night.

Before she could ask him to return home, Xavier waved his hand, and a bright light illuminated their surroundings. Slowly, she could see that large trees surrounded them.

Xavier walked over to a nearby rock and gently placed Iris on top.

"You need to wear shoes—"

Iris was speechless when she realized she was only wearing her nightgown and barefoot.

She immediately took sneakers from her space ring. When she tried to put them on, Xavier took the shoes from her hand and knelt in front of her, casually helping her put them on.

Instantly, Iris’ face turned red, seeing how sweet Xavier was to her.
