Just before Niles wanted to say something, the door opened, and Justin appeared in the room. Suddenly, the room becomes colder as some have just opened the door to the North Pole.

Xavier, who had remained silent for some time, slowly turned to look towards the door. His icy gaze bore into Justin with such intensity that it seemed he could kill him just by staring at him.

Justin couldn’t bear to meet Xavier’s eyes; instead, he fixed his gaze on the white marble floor. However, just as he was about to utter something, his knees gave way, and he collapsed, hitting the floor with painful force.

He clenched his fists tightly, enduring the agony while remaining silent. He knew that Xavier was punishing him, torturing his mind.

"G-Give me your mercy, M-Milord..." Justin stammered, pleading for forgiveness, fully aware that he bore responsibility for allowing this tragedy to occur.

This incident might never have happened if he hadn’t left Iris alone in Gray’s Cafe. He was very sorry, but he couldn’t do anything except beg for forgiveness.

The torment he endured continued, and he felt like his brain was about to explode. He clenched his teeth to suppress any screams because he knew that making a sound might result in his head being separated from his body.

However, after several seconds...

Justin, unable to endure the pain any longer, slowly raised his head to meet Xavier’s gaze. But before he could utter a word, an unseen force lifted his body into the air and hurled him against the wall, suspending him above the floor.

He could see Xavier’s anger clearly; his golden eyes had turned crimson as they bore into him.

He trembled uncontrollably and, somehow, found himself unable to speak. And his body refused to obey his commands. He couldn’t even move his fingers. All he could do was hear and see.

"How dare you leave her like that?" Xavier’s voice was frigid, the anger palpable as it echoed in Justin’s ears. "I will make you suffer just as she has!"

Xavier couldn’t imagine how much pain Iris had; her spine and ribs were severely injured. If he hadn’t placed a protective charm on her, she might have died immediately when Selina struck her chest, and he wouldn’t have detected her peril.

Luckily, he arrived just in time. Her heartbeat was still there even though it was slow. The black magic pill could mend all of Iris’s internal injuries. Still, if she were conscious, the agony of her healing would be excruciating.

He had no choice but to keep her unconscious until her recovery, which would take several days.

"M-My lord, I won’t resist any punishment you deem fit. I accept it—" Justin finally managed to form words.

Xavier didn’t respond hastily; instead, he continued to torment Justin’s mind.

After exacting what he considered sufficient punishment, he commanded, "Vanish from my sight. Do not reappear until I summon you!" With a sweeping gesture of his hand, Justin plummeted to the floor, and within moments, he disappeared from the room.

Once Justin was gone, Xavier took a deep breath and turned his attention to Niles.

"Ensure Selina remains alive. I need to delve into her memories. Also, go to Gray Cafe and manipulate their memories. Make them believe Iris has already returned home."

Xavier continued, "And, seek permission from the faculty for both Iris and me to pursue online studies for the remainder of the semester... Ah, you guys, too. We don’t need to continue studying anymore; we might leave this place soon." He waved his hand, signaling for Niles to leave the room.

"Understood, my lord. I will carry out your orders..." Niles bowed his head respectfully before getting out of the room.

Xavier’s heavy breathing filled the room before he turned his gaze to Iris.

Witnessing Iris lying on the bed pained him deeply. After confirming that her external wounds had healed, he removed her clothes slowly, starting with her blood-stained coat, then her shirt, and finally, her jeans.

Seeing her body exposed, covered only by underwear, stirred a deep ache in his heart. Although her visible wounds had vanished, her skin bore bruised and reddened areas in several places.

Xavier gently wiped away any lingering traces of blood from her body, ensuring she was clean. He then helped her into a nightgown.

Sitting back at the edge of the bed, Xavier smoothed the hair that had fallen over Iris’s face. He gently caressed her warm cheeks, and when his gaze fell upon her purple lips, he leaned in to gently kiss them.

Surprise coursed through him as he tasted the dried blood on her lips. After their lips parted, a faint smile graced his features for a moment when he tasted her blood, but his smile quickly faded.

"I’m sorry, Iris Gray... You shouldn’t have to endure all of this. I will make sure Selina faces the punishment she deserves for hurting you," Xavier said with a heavy, sorrowful tone.

It’s all his fault, too, because he never reads the minds of the people around him. He only does it when he needs to.

If only he had read what Selina had been thinking lately, he would have known that Selina had met Iris.

’How could I also make this mistake?’ Xavier couldn’t help but blame himself.

He didn’t know where Selina met Iris, but he would find out soon to check Selina’s memories.

After ensuring Iris was comfortable under her blanket, Xavier turned off the lights, leaving only the nightstand lamp on.

"Iris, I will come back soon. I need to punish that damn woman..." He said softly after kissing her forehead.

Xavier disappeared from the room and reappeared in front of the black door in the dungeons, a hundred meters beneath his house. Two well-built men with similar faces stood in front of the door.

"Milord..." the twin guards greeted Xavier respectfully.

He only nods slightly at them and gestures to them to open the door.
