Chapter 130: More Shameless
Chapter 130: More Shameless
However, it was clear that her question made Iris even more embarrassed. She didn’t know how to answer her Grandma’s question; however, when she saw Xavier smile at her lovingly, she couldn’t help but say, "Hmm, I’m happy."
"Grandma, glad to hear that..." Cassandra paused when she remembered something. She narrowed her eyes at both before saying, "Xavier, Iris..." her voice turned serious again. "Remember, you two are still young, should enjoy your youth, don’t rush to have a baby—"
Xavier smiled. He feels it was fun to hear Cassandra’s inner thoughts. While Iris, she abruptly stood up from her chair.
"Xavier, earlier, you said you had an important meeting at your house, right?" She asked while pulling Xavier up from his chair. He answered her with a slight frown, confused as to why she suddenly pushed him out of her house.
"You go home now. I will come to your house tonight." She said while pushing him toward the door.
"Ooo... Bye," Xavier could only chuckle when he realized why she acted like this — she must be shy hearing her Grandma’s words.
Xavier drew his head closer to her face. He whispers, "I will ask Justin to pick you up. You don’t have to drive."
Iris nodded and closed the door, then sandwiching her cheeks with both hands. She feels so shy.
"Grandma, I will go to my room now. And I won’t have dinner at home. I will go to Xavier’s house later..." Iris said. After walking half of the stairs, she teleported to her bedroom.
When Iris arrived at her bedroom, her cell phone vibrated. She could see it was a text message from Xavier.
[Xavier:] Don’t worry, Iris. I’m not rushing to have a child with you (Smile emoji) (Kiss emoji)
Her cell phone slipped from her hand and successfully fell onto the marble floor.
"Why is he getting more and more shameless?" She mumbled while grabbing her cell phone, only to discover that the screen was cracked.
"This is the perfect way to end my day, huh!?" She faintly smiled. At the same time, she sat on the couch, resting her mind for a few more minutes.
She needed to think before telling Gavriel about her plans to move in at Xavier’s house.
What worried her now was that if she stayed at Xavier’s house, Gavriel might suddenly teleport to her bedroom, and Xavier would find out.
That would be a disaster if that happened, right? No. She can’t let that happen.
She opened her phone book, found Gavriel’s name, and dialed his number.
It took four rings before the call connected. However, Iris heard Gavriel’s curt voice on the other end before she could greet him.
"Is there something urgent that made you call me now?" he asked, his tone displeased as if the call was distracting him from something important he was doing.
Iris silently scolded him before answering, "Gavriel, how are you? Sorry if I bothered your nap..."
"Just tell me what you want, Iris Gray!"
’Damn! Why is he so impatient?’ She smiled bitterly before saying, "I just wanted to tell you that Xavier and I are engaged—"
"WHAT! Are you serious?" He asked in shock. It was hard for him to believe all of this.
’How could Xavier be bold enough to propose to Iris?’ Gavriel thought. He knows they can’t end up together unless he wants to turn Iris into a vampire.
Now, Gavriel couldn’t avoid being suspicious of Xavier.
’And, this slow-minded Iris, how could she never be suspicious about Xavier at all? She could see so many hints that Xavier was not just a normal human being, right!?’ Gavriel sighed deeply, puzzled about whether to tell her about Xavier’s identity or not.
"Hahaha..." Iris’s lovely laughter echoed in the room. "I knew it. You would be shocked like this, just like my Grandma."
"Iris, you are still young. Why are you so eager to get engaged with him?" He patiently asked.
Iris rolled her eyes, hearing his foolish question, "Oh please, Gavriel... In some countries out there, girls are even married off as soon as they get their first period. I’m already old enough to be engaged; I’ll be twenty years old soon..."
Gavriel was speechless. However, he couldn’t deny her words. What she said was indeed a fact.
"You should congratulate me, Senior Gavriel," she grinned.
Gavriel remained silent.
Not hearing any words from him, Iris continued, "Well, I’m calling you now not just to tell you about this but also to inform you about something important," she paused when she heard Gavriel take a deep sigh at the other end.
"What’s that?" Gavriel curiously asked.
’What is the other important thing she wants to say besides this?’ He thought, feeling confused. But his confusion was soon answered.
Gavriel suddenly froze when something far beyond what he could have imagined appeared in his mind.
’Bloody hell! Is she pregnant with Xavier’s child? No. Impossible. They can’t have sex, right!? Or did Xavier already find a way to be intimate with this little human?’ Countless questions now filled Gavriel’s mind. Just before he wanted to ask her, his words stopped when he heard her voice.
"Yes. I will be moving to Xavier’s house in a few more days, and I hope you no longer appear in my bedroom as you usually do. I—"
"Wait!" Gavriel stops her. "You what? Moving in with him?" This time, Gavriel was even more shocked by the progress in their relationship.
Gavriel didn’t care about Iris’s identity being exposed because Xavier already knew who she was from the start.
But he was confused about why Xavier risked asking Iris to move into his house.
Did that Vampire Lord want his identity to be revealed more quickly, so he invites Iris to live with him?
Gavriel shook his head, ’No. It’s impossible for Xavier to do that. Unless something forces him to do that...’ He thought. ’There’s something that might have happened to her.’
His heart raced as he asked, "Iris, something happened to you? Tell me... Why do you suddenly want to move in with him?"
