Chapter 106: Justin Shocked
Chapter 106: Justin Shocked
While Iris continued staring at her cell phone, Justin exchanged text messages with Xavier.
[Xavier:] Why didn’t she pick up my call? (Angry emoji)
Justin was at a loss for words. How could he possibly know the answer? He glanced at Iris, who remained motionless, fixated on her cell phone. In a hurry, he refocused on his cell phone and tried to respond to his angry lord.
[Justin:] She was probably afraid you would find out she was on the train.
[Justin:] Now, she’s simply staring at her cell phone, looking somewhat perplexed.
A few seconds later, another text message arrived.
[Xavier:] Take a picture of her. I want to see her!
Justin almost choked upon reading that message. How could he take a picture now? Iris would undoubtedly notice. He felt that moments ago, Iris had been glancing in his direction as if she were curious about his presence.
[Justin:] My lord, I will be exposed if I do that. (Sad emoji)
[Justin:] OK, Milord... let me describe her outfit now. (Grin emoji)
[Justin:] She is wearing her black outfit again, just like what she has been wearing recently. But something strange! (Confused emoji)
[Justin:] She wears a wig and glasses as if she doesn’t want anyone to recognize her. If I hadn’t seen her come out of her car, I wouldn’t have recognized her.
[Justin:] My lord, I will keep you updated on the situation. Don’t worry. (Smile emoji) (Wave emoji)
After sending his last message, Justin messaged Niles to tell him he was on his way to Darkhill. He also asked Niles to complete his hunting today, or their lord would become enraged. Once he had messaged Niles, he glanced at Iris again, but she was still engrossed in her cell phone.
’Is she all right? Why does she seem frozen while looking at her phone? Did Lord Xavier call her again?’ he pondered. Before long, he received his answer as another text message arrived.
[Xavier:] Iris already replied to my text. She mentioned that she just woke up and would call me later.
[Xavier:] You must follow her closely and ensure her safety!
Justin was taken aback when he read this. He cast a silent glance at Iris while silently cursing her.
’Iris Gray, how dare you lie to my lord? And why on earth is Lord Xavier not angry with you?’ He began to feel annoyed with Iris and perplexed by his lord’s favoritism toward her.
[Justin:] I will, Milord. (Smile emoji)
He sent the text, but later, something crossed his mind that perplexed him about whether to ask his lord. After a few moments of thinking, he decided to ask.
[Justin:] Milord, what should I do if Lady Iris meets another man? Should I kill that person?
Justin was suspicious because Iris had visited Darkhill using her disguise, and he also knew that this girl didn’t have a plan to go there. But why all of a sudden? It must be something important she wanted to do, right?
’Why hasn’t he replied?’ Justin began to feel worried because they were getting closer. It was about 5 minutes before the train would arrive at Darkhill station.
Xavier’s text came in just as he was about to put his cell phone in his pocket.
[Xavier:] You can eliminate him if you see him flirting with her!
[Justin:] Consider it done, Milord!
A sly smile crept across Justin’s face, and then he stowed his cell phone in his pocket. Now, he needed to make a perfect plan for what lay ahead.

After dealing with Xavier, Iris still appeared worried, but this time, it wasn’t because of Xavier; it was because of Gavriel. That man had not yet replied to her text. Now, she was sure that Gavriel was still sleeping!
’Gosh! It will be tiring to wait for him at the train station.’
Glancing at her watch only added to her worry; in mere minutes, she would arrive. She decided to call him. After only the second ring, the phone connected, surprising Iris.
"G-Gavriel, hello," Iris cheerfully greeted him. "I texted you a few minutes ago, but you didn’t reply. I thought you were still sleeping. Well... I just wanted to let you know that I will be arriving at the Station."
"I read it," Gavriel’s usual cold voice rang in her ear. "I’m at the Station. I will wait for you at the entrance," he calmly said.
"Okay. See you soon!" She felt relieved.
At least she didn’t have to wait, and they would be going to the police office to track her target right away — she already knew Dudley Velcoro’s schedule. He would report to his office this morning before starting his usual duties.
Her plan was simple: she would tail Dudley and find an opportunity to complete her task. Now, she didn’t need to worry about leaving evidence because she already had a magic gun to make her target die naturally.
Before long, the train finally stopped.
Iris immediately stood from her seat, and to her surprise, she didn’t see the man in the red hoodie.
She walked quickly to the entrance. From afar, she spotted Gavriel. She communicated with him through his mind to inform him that she was wearing a disguise.
’Gavriel, I’m wearing a black wig and glasses, heading to you now,’ When Iris saw Gavriel look in her direction, she nodded slightly and quickened her pace.
...
Justin’s jaw almost hit the ground in his hiding spot when he witnessed Iris approach the tall, handsome man. That man looked familiar; he had seen him a few days ago.
’Bloody hell, why does this man appear here? And she met Iris!? I can’t delay this. I should call Lord Xavier!’ He retrieved his cell phone and dialed Xavier’s number.
"Milord, I apologize for calling you now," Justin’s voice trembled, still shocked by what he had seen. "Lady Iris, she, she... met a man, and that man is the same one who picked her up at our campus a few days ago—"
