Rebirth as The Billionaire's Seventh Wife
Chapter 47: Tell Him The Truth

Chapter 47: Tell Him The Truth

"Haven’t we talked about this before? Aurora, you know why I did it, right?"

Alex’s thick eyebrow raised slightly, clearly showing his annoyance at her refusal.

Aurora could only nod, realizing her refusal had led her to a dead end. In the end, he still assigned Josh to accompany her.

Noticing the lingering rejection in Aurora’s eyes, Alex tried to reassure her once again.

"If you’re worried that your friends will be confused seeing Josh follow you, don’t be. He’ll be undercover as your college friend."

A faint smile spread across his lips as he noticed her stunning eyes widen slightly; she looked breathtaking. He quickly shifted his gaze when he realized that her gaze was captivating him once more.

Alex silently cleared his throat before shifting his gaze to Josh.

"Josh, you need to blend in. From now on, dress and act like any other student on campus, like the college kids. Got it?"

Alex’s words surprised Josh, but in the end, he nodded and agreed, "Yes, sir."

"And... Can you do something with your hair? Maybe try getting a cut like the trending style for singer idols?" Alex suggested.

"I’ll ask my barber guy to restyle my hair, sir. Should I also color my hair? With red or green? I saw college kids like that these days."

Josh responded calmly. However, he felt tense inwardly, as he would be undercover as a university student.

Alex thought for a moment before answering, "Red is better than green. But, Josh, you should also ask your barber about the current hair trends among college kids."

Aurora was left speechless after overhearing their conversation. She suppressed a laugh while watching the two stern men engage in such a hilarious discussion.

Josh agreed with Alex’s suggestion, saying, "You’re right, sir. I will ask my barber..."

"Umh, Josh..." Aurora finally interrupted. "You don’t need to change your hair color. You already have great hair in that black color, and your haircut looks fine, too. I guess your barber is an excellent one."

"Thank you, Ma’am..." Josh replied, relieved that he didn’t have to be bothered to restyle his hair.

Aurora said nothing but turned her gaze to Alex.

"Do you have a way to let him enter my faculty or my class? I mean... he isn’t a student there, is he?" she asked, curious.

Alex chuckled at her question. "Did you forget who your husband is?"

Upon hearing Alex call himself "your husband," Aurora’s face instantly felt warm. It was so warm that she knew her cheeks looked reddish now.

She lowered her gaze and avoided making eye contact with him, allowing a shy smile to appear on her lips. However, when she heard his following words, her smile faded.

"Have you forgotten about my company, Stardust Group? I contributed a significant amount to your university..."

A proud smile appeared on his lips before he continued, "I just need to make a phone call to arrange for Josh to join your faculty, and he can become a student instantly, just like anyone else."

"Yeah, I know that. I’m Rory! I know all about you and your company," Aurora wanted to say that, but those words never left her lips. Instead, she could only nod in agreement.

"Good. So you know you shouldn’t worry about the small things."

"Yes." She smiled at him.

He added, "I’ll ensure Josh becomes your classmate rather than your chauffeur or bodyguard."

"Hmm, as long as he can act like any student on my campus, that would be fine," Aurora replied, knowing she couldn’t avoid this arrangement.

"Don’t worry, Madam, I know what I’m doing," Josh added to reassure Aurora.

"If I’m not mistaken, you have an exam coming up soon, right?" Alex asked again.

"Yes, it’s just a few days away. And after that, I will..." Aurora paused, uncertain whether to reveal her internship at Stardust Tech.

Alex frowned as he noticed the hesitation in her eyes.

"What is it, Aurora? You can share what’s on your mind instead of keeping it to yourself," he asked, sensing that something was bothering her.

After a moment, Aurora finally revealed, "Alex, I was selected as an intern at your company."

She believed it was better to be honest with him, fearing that he might be shocked to find her in his office.

Alex was taken aback by this news. Although he knew she was studying computer science, he hadn’t expected her to be chosen as an intern at Stardust Group, especially given how competitive the selection process was.

"In Stardust Tech?"

"Yes, under Mr. Patrick Wallace’s department..."

Alex was surprised; he had never heard Patrick mention recruiting an intern this year.

’Is she really that smart that Patrick picked her?’

A whirlwind of questions filled his mind, prompting him to immediately set a meeting with Patrick in the office.

"I see. When does your internship start? Are you the only one picked from your university?" he asked.

"My classmate and I will begin in a few weeks, at the end of October," Aurora explained.

She added, "Alex, I beg you to ensure no one knows I’m your wife. I don’t want them to treat me differently during my internship."

"Of course!" Alex replied. He didn’t press her for more details; he would discuss it with Patrick later.

After their brief conversation, Alex finally stood up and excused himself to go to his office.

...

Aurora returned to her bedroom to get ready before heading to campus.

She had only one class today but needed to meet David to ask him about the upcoming exam.

Although she had taken final exams in the past, she needed to understand the current situation; the rules might have changed.

Her wallet and bank cards fell to the floor as she grabbed her bag. She picked them all up and sighed deeply, realizing she had only a few hundred dollars in her bank account.

’You’re so poor! How could your father have left you without any cash?’ she thought, shaking her head.
