Chapter 33: Mob Gang

Once out on the street, Raven hailed a cab and told the driver to drive her to Mob Street.

"Mob Street?" The driver asked in surprise.

"Yes, Mob Street." Raven deadpanned, "Any problem?"

"N... no, ma’am."

She knew why the man was shocked. Mob Street was the deadliest street to walk alone, even for a guy not to talk of a girl. The name of the street had been derived from the group of gangs who resided there.

Most of the crimes were committed there... rape, assault, theft... you name it. So it was only typical for the driver to be shocked.

And Mob Street was where the mob who were in charge of locating Raven resided.

Meanwhile, Raven leaned back on the leather foam of the back seat and listened in on Larry’s conversation.

"I’m sorry for causing a scene Babe." Millie’s voice came, "It’s just..."

"It’s okay." Larry’s voice came, "That bitch deserved all the curses you gave her. How could she not see?"

Well, well. Raven smiled.

He was literally the one who said it was okay when she apologized. So he didn’t want that kind of attention.

Raven was now understanding Larry’s nature. He was twisted. He loved people being scared of him, he liked to think of himself as a god, and he loved dominance and was condescending but he hated embarrassing moments, especially in public where he could be ridiculed, just like a few moments ago.

"Anyway, let’s not talk about the bitch," Millie giggled, "I’ve missed you."

"I’ve missed you more," Larry said.

And then Raven heard the sound of smooches and kisses, she rolled her eyes in disgust.

"Say we get outta here?" Millie suggested, "Why don’t we go fuck?"

There was a pause, "Let’s eat first... then we fuck."

Raven heard Millie giggle, followed by Larry calling the waiter.

She took off the earbuds, deciding that it wasn’t worth listening in. After all, she had learned that Larry had a girlfriend. Her mind was reeling with plans as to how she would use Millie the same way she used Felipe.

The cab driver stopped just before Mob Street, "I can’t go any further ma’am." He grumbled.

Raven paid her cab fare, "Keep the change."

She got out, and the driver drove away immediately. She exhaled and walked down the street.

The street was empty and quiet only full of abandoned houses. Raven just kept walking, she knew sooner or later, someone would appear out of nowhere to attack her.

She heard footsteps following. She smiled and began to walk faster, as though she was terrified

The footsteps increased, following her pace. She made to break out in a run but a hand clutched her. She gasped in feigned shock, spinning around.

"Please don’t kill me!" She begged.

"Only if you take off your clothes sexy." The man said, a dirty smirk on his lips.

Raven peered at the man’s face. She didn’t need another confirmation that he was from the mob that Larry had paid to search for her.

"What are you waiting for?" The man barked, revealing a knife, "Take it off or I’ll take it off for ya."

Raven folded her arms. "Where’s your boss?" She asked in a dominant tone "Take me to him."

"What? Are you crazy?" The man was a little fazed by how a lady that was scared shitless just moments ago was now sassy, and confident. "I said take off your clothes, or I’ll take it off for ya."

"I said take me to your boss."

"And I said take off your clothes you bitch!" The man snarled through gritted teeth and then made to strike, but Raven kicked him really hard on the balls.

The man screamed in pain, falling to the ground, as he clutched his balls.

Raven grabbed his hair and pulled it upwards, "I said take me to your boss." Raven smiled at him, her tone icy, "Don’t make me repeat myself."

"You crazy bitch!" The man groaned out in pain, still clutching his balls.

"Oh, you need another persuasion," Raven said and then struck him really hard across the face, her fingers making a mark on his face.

The man screamed again in pain as he sprawled out on the floor, one hand on his balls and the other on his cheek.

"You still need another persuasion?"

"No! No! Please stop, I’ll take you to my boss."

"Good boy," Raven grinned threateningly, "Now get up."

The mob was called Mob Gang, just like the street. They were a group of useless men; some were no good and had dropped out of high school in their teenage days, and some of them were delinquents who had gone to prison a plethora of times. They were feared by all as the vice of society.

They were the ones who had driven the residents away from their houses due to the constant crime rate. When the residents had all moved out, they had chosen the most comfortable house to live in.

Their boss, Alex Donovan, was seated in the head seat; his gang members were gathered around as they watched him play chess with one of the members.

They were all in the living room, where they usually had their meetings and plotted their crimes. But right now, they were playing chess.

They were so enthralled in the game that they didn’t notice the presence of the lady in the room.

"Gentlemen." Raven’s voice called out, hushing them up and drawing their attention to the door where she stood, with her arms crossed.

"Huh? Who the hell are you?" one of the members snarled.

"Don’t you recognize me?"

There was a pause as the gang regarded her. Then the surprise of recognition splattered all across their faces.

"You’re that bitch we’re looking for!" one of the members cried out.

Raven nodded, "Correction, I’m that badass bitch you’re looking for."

The whole gang erupted with laughter.

"You can laugh, it’s funny."

"What are you thinking coming here?" another of the members asked.

"You just walked right into your own demise." another one chimed in.

"My demise?" Raven asked, walking further into the room; she pulled up a wooden chair and sat on it, and then she crossed her legs. "I think you’ve got it backward. It’s your demise, not mine."

"This bitch has clearly lost it." another of the members said, "Do you know how many men there are here..."

"Pfft!" Raven burst out laughing, "You call yourself men? Sweetheart, I see no men."
