Chapter 219: The Final Act Begins
Chapter 219: Chapter 219: The Final Act Begins
People watching on their TVs were completely stunned, their jaws practically hitting the floor. All Might had been—defeated in an instant?!
As the "Symbol of Peace," All Might had always been seen as an unbeatable force in Japan. No matter how strong the enemy, they would always end up getting taken down the moment they faced him.
But now, on live television, broadcast from a helicopter, All Might’s attack had been instantly countered and he was tightly restrained by Midoriya Izuku himself. How could people not be shocked?
Some were worried, some were praying, and some were too overwhelmed to react. But no matter what, most of the Japanese citizens standing in front of their TVs were hoping that All Might would break free. After all, he had spent decades becoming the "Symbol of Peace"—he was the very faith that held their society together.
"The Symbol of Peace... All Might, is it really worth it to keep fighting with your broken and weakened body, just for this fake hero society?"
Midoriya Izuku asked sincerely, and the No.1 hero responded without hesitation:
"Of course it’s worth it. A hero must risk everything, even their life, to save and protect others!"
"I see... so that’s your answer, All Might."
As if he had expected this reply, Midoriya nodded in satisfaction. Then, shifting his gaze downward from Tokyo Skytree, he noticed that several Pro Heroes had already arrived at the scene.
"More nuisances have shown up. But it doesn’t matter how many of them come—right now, the only thing that matters is..."
"Togata Mirio... where is he hiding?"
Turning back to the bound All Might, Midoriya asked his most respected hero a direct question.
"........"
"It doesn’t matter if you stay silent. I already know the answer. It’s too obvious."
All Might remained silent, while Midoriya continued speaking to himself in a calm, unhurried tone:
"The heroes already know about the ’Messenger of Hell.’ The moment you showed up, you attacked me immediately... yet I don’t see any sign of ’Lemillion.’"
"Which means Sir Nighteye must have come up with a secret weapon against me, right?"
Midoriya turned his gaze back to the area surrounding Tokyo Skytree. He slightly moved the fingers on his left hand, and in that instant, the tower’s elevators were disabled. At the same time, Pro Heroes trying to approach from the air using flight Quirks were suddenly ensnared by steel wires, trapping them mid-air.
"The pests have been dealt with for now. Now we wait."
Brushing them away like insignificant bugs without much effort, Midoriya Izuku remained calm. Meanwhile, the tightly bound All Might was beginning to panic. The situation was looking worse by the second.
Throughout Tokyo, Pro Heroes stationed in different districts, as well as hidden villain groups, had all started rushing toward Tokyo Skytree the moment Midoriya Izuku revealed himself.
And this was exactly what Nighteye had predicted—Midoriya would pick a highly visible location to draw in everyone before using that terrifying weapon to wipe them all out at once.
That’s why Nighteye had sent All Might to confront Midoriya first, while Togata Mirio patiently waited for the right moment. The moment the League of Villains’ secret weapon appeared, he would strike and seize it immediately.
More and more Pro Heroes were gathering, but they could only watch from below. None of them could advance toward the top of the Skytree. The entire area had become Midoriya Izuku’s steel-wire domain. No matter if they tried flying or scaling the tower, they would be ensnared by wires appearing out of nowhere.
Dozens of Pro Heroes had attempted to reach the top of the Skytree, but without exception, they all ended up trapped—like prey caught in a spider’s web, unable to move forward or retreat. The heroes watching from below could do nothing but stare helplessly.
"Midoriya... why are you doing this?"
At this moment, faced with such a desperate situation, All Might could only ask the boy he had once placed so much hope in—why he was trying to destroy hero society.
"Because it has to be done!"
"The more I dreamed of becoming a hero, the more I realized a painful truth. Instead of a society where being a hero is just a job..."
"A society that doesn’t need heroes—that’s the future I truly want."
"Stain was right about one thing. Heroes should never have become a profession... and I’m going to fix that mistake!"
"Midoriya, you—?!"
A deep chill ran through All Might’s heart. The boy he once knew—the kind, hopeful Izuku Midoriya—was gone. What stood before him now was a terrifying "villain" who would stop at nothing to achieve his goal.
"If there are no villains causing chaos, then there’s no need for pro heroes. Except for true rescue workers like Thirteen and the Pussycats, the rest of the so-called pro heroes... I will remove them from society."
"What are you planning to do?!"
All Might’s mind was in turmoil. Midoriya’s words filled him with growing dread. Now that Midoriya Izuku had inherited All For One, he was an even more fearsome monster than the original.
"Those who aren’t worthy of being pro heroes—I’ll take their Quirks away and let them live the rest of their lives as normal people."
"And those who cross my line... they’ll be eliminated without mercy!"
"Stop this! What you’re doing will only give villains a chance to destroy society’s order!"
"Oh? Is that so?"
All Might’s furious warning meant nothing to Midoriya Izuku. He simply repeated back the words of the former No.1 Hero, his tone indifferent.
"It’s not just pro heroes who came to Tokyo to take me down. Groups of villains who’ve long despised me have gathered too."
"After all, this is the best chance they’ll ever have. Thanks to the League of Villains’ crackdown, they’ve been hiding like sewer rats for a long time."
"You’re planning to..."
All Might couldn’t finish his sentence. With the way Midoriya operated, there was no doubt—he intended to wipe out the villains who served no purpose to society. Was he trying to erase both pro heroes and villains altogether?
"This is a surgery. A body infected by disease must have the tumor removed—only then can it be healed."
"You..."
All Might had no words left. He couldn’t argue against Midoriya Izuku’s logic... or his convictions. As the so-called "Symbol of Peace," he realized just how powerless he truly was.
"I won’t accept this! Forcing your own beliefs onto hero society—this is nothing but your selfish desire!"
"Mirio?!"
All Might’s eyes widened in shock. Togata Mirio stood atop Tokyo Skytree, glaring down at Midoriya Izuku with fury in his gaze.
"Oh? You finally showed up, Togata Mirio."
Midoriya didn’t seem the least bit surprised. He turned to face his former upperclassman, a mocking smile on his lips.
"You’re absolutely right! I’m a ’villain,’ so of course, my actions are driven by my own desires."
"And because I have the power to fulfill those desires... you have no choice but to stand in my way, isn’t that right?"
"Midoriya Izuku!"
With a furious roar, Togata Mirio launched a full-force attack at the former junior he had once believed in.
One For All and All For One clashed once again. But this time... the battle would decide everything.
