Quirkless Hero
Chapter 220 Finale: Clash

Chapter 220: Chapter 220 Finale: Clash

"What just happened?!"

Everyone was stunned. No one had seen exactly what transpired in that split second—all they knew was that a silver flash streaked across the sky, and then... the top of Tokyo Skytree had been sliced clean off, crashing downward.

Pro heroes below scrambled to avoid the falling debris as the tower’s upper section smashed into the ground, leaving a massive crater. None of them dared to approach.

"Midoriya Izuku, you—!"

"Don’t look at me like that. Right now, your only concern should be figuring out how to defeat me."

Togata Mirio, his eyes burning with fury, stood atop the severed edge of Tokyo Skytree. Meanwhile, Midoriya Izuku floated calmly in midair, using the "Air Walk" Quirk gifted to him by All For One.

To counter Mirio’s direct attack, Midoriya had chosen the simplest solution—he had swung his hand and sliced off the entire top of the Skytree. Now, with his foothold gone, Mirio had no way to reach him.

"So... what will you do now?"

"All Might can’t break free from my grasp. Even the ’Messenger of Hell’ is beyond your reach. You can only stand there and watch... as my victory unfolds."

Midoriya floated high in the sky, while All Might was tightly bound by countless steel wires extending from above. Togata Mirio could only look up at Midoriya Izuku, completely unable to reach him.

Faced with the trap Midoriya had set for him, how would the ninth successor of "One for All" respond? As the pro heroes below Tokyo Skytree looked up, and helicopters broadcast the scene to everyone, "Lemillion" gave his answer:

"I’m going to beat you!!"

"Keep pushing forward, never stop!"

"Plus Ultra!!"

Togata Mirio clenched his fists, teeth grinding in frustration. It was time for him to make a choice. He had to defeat Midoriya Izuku... He couldn’t let him go down the wrong path again.

Togata Mirio was strong—just how strong, exactly?

Back when he faced All For One, Mirio couldn’t do anything but take hit after hit. But now, he had 60% of One For All’s power in his hands.

Humans fall behind if they stop moving forward. And Mirio... he was someone who never stopped. Ever since Sir Nighteye’s prediction of that dark future, he’d been constantly on edge, pushing himself every moment. Even after inheriting One For All, he didn’t slack off for a second. He stayed the same Mirio, always walking forward without looking back.

"Unlimited Permeation...!"

With that loud shout, Mirio suddenly vanished from Midoriya’s sight.

"Did he... phase into the Skytree?"

Before Midoriya could even process what was going on, a heavy punch slammed into his face. The impact sent him flying, crashing through a building behind him.

He rolled on the ground and quickly got back up, scanning the area—but there was no sign of Mirio. The only thing he saw was All Might, still hanging in the air, stuck in the web of steel wires Midoriya had set.

"No one...?"

Feeling something was wrong, Midoriya instantly went on high alert. But just then, another heavy blow struck his back, slamming him straight down and smashing through twenty floors.

"Damn it!!"

Furious, Midoriya swung his right arm. From the outside, all people saw was the building flashing with countless silver streaks—then it broke apart into a pile of wreckage.

The entire building had been sliced into pieces by his steel wires. As he floated into the air, Midoriya’s mind was racing, analyzing the situation.

"Invisible...? Is that what he’s doing?"

"No... That’s not it... I get it now!"

In that instant, Midoriya figured out what was going on. He waved his left hand, setting up a steel-wire barrier around himself and boosting his senses through the wires as much as he could.

"I never imagined Permeation could be used like this!"

With his eyes closed, Midoriya focused all his attention on the area around him. Right now, Togata Mirio was easily the most dangerous opponent he had ever faced.

Mirio’s quirk, Permeation, lets him ignore the laws of physics and become intangible. But in that state, he also can’t see or hear anything—he’s basically blind and deaf. And since he can’t breathe in that form either, he can’t keep it up for long.

But Mirio had trained hard to overcome all these weaknesses. And now, he had taken his Permeation ability even further.

When he phases, light can’t bounce off his body anymore, making him invisible. This effect worked in his favor—he wasn’t just intangible, he had become truly unseen. Not even air resistance or movement gave away his location. It was basically the perfect stealth.

Midoriya couldn’t see him, couldn’t block him properly, and had no clue when or from where Mirio might strike next. He could only defend on instinct.

"But it’s not perfect. You still need to breathe. And you still need to know where I am."

Midoriya stayed still, feeling everything around him. Maybe turning his whole body into steel wires could help defend against Mirio’s attacks. But it was a bad idea.

If he fully turned into wires, All For One and his other quirks would stop working. What used to be his best way to survive would now become his biggest weakness.

His only option was to stay alert and wait for that one moment when Mirio had to reveal himself. He had to go all in with a deadly counterattack.

Mirio’s One For All power wasn’t enough to beat him. But Midoriya only needed one clean hit to knock Mirio out of the fight. He was willing to bet on catching that moment... even if it took a few tries.

Floating high in the air, he knew Mirio would need something solid to push off of to launch an attack. The second Mirio went solid to land a hit, that would be Midoriya’s chance to end it in one blow.

The scene was eerily quiet. The other pro heroes watching from a distance didn’t dare approach. A battle at this level was beyond their imagination—just getting too close might get them caught in the crossfire and killed.

People sitting in front of their TVs didn’t make a sound either. They watched the live broadcast from a helicopter, their eyes glued to the screen, afraid to even blink in case they missed the most critical moment.

"He’s coming!"

Midoriya Izuku’s eyes widened as he locked onto a direction. The steel wires around him spun at full speed, forming a deadly web of blades. The moment Togata Mirio appeared, he would be struck down instantly.

"You got it right! But you let your guard down!!"

Togata Mirio appeared right in front of Midoriya. At the same time, a familiar voice came from behind him:

"Final! Smash!!"

Midoriya Izuku whipped his head around—only to see the hero he admired the most, the man known as the "Symbol of Peace."

"All Might..."

With a devastating punch, like a comet crashing down, Midoriya was sent flying. He slammed into the ground, creating a massive crater, and three buildings nearby collapsed into rubble.
