Chapter 79: Getting Tainted by a Demon

Sharon’s POV—

I am still hungry after eating four plates of foods. My stomach is still begging for food. Forget that! I haven’t had anything sweet for these past few days.

[What are you going to do?]

Oh, it is back. I thought it wouldn’t talk with me anymore. Afterall, there is no more trust left.

’Why are you back again?’

I entered Aerila’s office and began cleaning the shelves. The moment I entered her office; her eyes followed my each and every movement. There was something hidden in her eyes, something undesirable.

[After all this? Seriously? We are going to fight again?]

’I am not fighting. Cautious, I am just being cautious.’

Raising my guard against this system is the least thing I can do now. As for trusting part, I don’t think it will be foolish to believe its words.

[I will help you. Just wait for some time, and I will free you. No need to be so vigilant towards me.]

Anger washed over me like waves wash over the shore. Its words were ambiguous. It knew everything yet, it lied... to my very face.

’Fuck off!’

[Don’t use this attitude with me!]

’Are you angry? Good. Lying to a person in their face also makes them angry. You are good in lying, aren’t you? You give excuses! Just endless excuses! What you do is to deceive me?’

[Hahaha... are we talking about deceiving? You know nothing about it.]

Its voice was so sinister and mysterious that it made me tremble for a moment. No. I should just ignore its words.

’Look, don’t try to deceive me. I am tired of this, alright? You can go away. Even mosquitoes are better than you.’

[Mosquitoes? Are you comparing me with that blood-sucking creatures?!]

’Yes, I am. So, please go and suck someone else.’

[Good... very-very good, I will not help you. A person like don’t deserve any help.]

I sneered mentally. What the fuck is it saying? It never helped me before, and now... it wants to help? What a joke!

’Like I said before... fuck off. I will repeat it once again and loudly this time for you to hear it. FUCK OFF!!’

Tch, I really don’t want to fight with it. All it does is to spike my blood pressure.

[I will go but before that... I am not the only one who is deceiving you.]

Its words held a deep meaning in it, one that I am not going to dwell over. For now, I want to escape from here by whatever means possible, and for that I do have a way. Applying it properly is all I need. Time is very precious for me. I believe this place is affecting my thinking process as well as making me lose my temper. But why? Suddenly, a thought entered my mind. The air... the air is poisonous! Demons are not affected by harsh climatic and unsuitable conditions. It’s making the corruption process faster. It seems that I have to escape here as soon as possible.

"Clean properly," said a very domineering voice.

I glanced at Aerila for a fleeting second, before lowering my eyes. And for me to get out from here depends on this woman, the demon queen.

"Sorry, Your Majesty," I muttered in very low voice.

Aerila ordered, "Come here."

Hmmm... what? No, remember my objective. I walked towards and stood several metres away from her. "Come close," Aerila beckoned me.

"But—"

"I said come closer!"

Faking a glare, I stood near her. Aerila smirked at me, pleased by reaction. There was something off about her.

"Do you want something?" I asked in an angered tone.

Aerila raised an eyebrow at my words. She moved her gaze all over my body from head to toe, before stopping at my face. She asked, "Are you trying to make me angry? Or, are you trying to seduce me?"

My eyes widened in shock. Hah! Obviously, I was acting. People like Aerila are the domineering CEO types, who likes either someone who would go against their wish or, would accept their ’bullying’ with a wronged expression. And for her, I will go with the former one.

"I-I am not!" I yelled loudly.

Aerila sneered, "Why? Do you think yourself as a ’clean’ individual? Of course, you must believe that demons are beneath you, right?"

"I don’t care! Really, what you are doing is just making me feel sorry for you?"

Aerila’s face darkened in anger. The dice has been cast... and now all I need is to wait for results. This is the only way, without taking the system’s help.

"What did you say? Dare to repeat it again!" Aerila gritted out in anger.

"I told you that I am feeling sorry for you. Your way of revenge is very poor. It’s making me feel pity... for you and your people. Making me a maid, telling your servants to bully me, and not giving me food... it’s pathetic. Maybe your servants don’t respect you. I mean, if I would have in your place, I would have done much better. Nothing like undignified self," I mocked her.

I continued, "You lack the guts to kill me. As for being the demon queen, you are not a good one. It’s probably because your parents died early, right?"

Ok, I did it... not sure, if it was right or not. Her eyes burned in anger, as if she wanted to swallow my whole existence. Hatred and disgust were reflecting on her face. Just by her overall look, I could say she wanted to inflict pain upon me.

Grabbing my hand in anger, Aerila snorted, "Is that so? You think that my form of revenge is pathetic? Then let me show you... what... I... can... do. Undignified? After I finish with you, not a single shred of dignity will be left on your body to cover with," she smiled sinisterly, "I thought Celle was wrong but... I was wrong."

My eyes dilated in fear. I shuttered, "W-what a-are you... saying?"

Instead of answering my question, she threw me on her shoulder and started walking out of the office.

"Hey! Answer me!"

"Hey!"

"Are you deaf?!"

"Look! I am sorry!"

"Alright! Please forgive me!"

Even when I pleaded with her, Aerila just ignored me and continued walking. Throughout the way, we crossed countless servants who kept their head low and didn’t dare to look up. They knew what was going to happen with me. I thrashed on her shoulder, trying to escape her hold but it was useless.

Aerila kicked open her room’s door and entered into it. She mercilessly threw me on the bed, making me almost bounce out of it. Before, I could say anything. She pounced on me and grabbed my two hand and put it above my head.

"Let’s see how much dignity will be left after I finish with you. How will your people react if they knew that this ’demon’ tainted their emperor? Forget about them, what about you? How will you react after I fuck you in this bed? I have to agree that your appearance aligns with my taste," Aerila ran her hands over my clothed body, "I am eagerly waiting to see your appearance after fuck you hard. Will you beg me to stop? Or, will you tell me to continue?"

"P-please..." I pleaded, with an uncontrollable sob in my voice.

"Why are you begging me now? My parents died early, didn’t they? If they had been alive, they would definitely want me to take a spouse," Aerila looked at me with madness in her eyes, "I am just fulfilling their wish, won’t you help me?"

Saying that, she tore open my clothes revealing my bare chest as my breasts bounced due to impact. I yelled, "It’s rape! What you are doing is immoral!"

"Do I look I care?" I looked at her with a teary gaze, "I am repeating your lines. Didn’t you say that before? Don’t act like a saint. You have probably slept with many men and women before, haven’t you? So, why are acting like this?"

"NO! I HAVEN’T!"

Aerila smiled, "I know you have... otherwise, you won’t have these marks on your neck?"

What? How? Ah, fuck! When the vines wrapped around my neck, it rendered my powers meaningless. Without the application of mana over my marks, it will be visible to others. But does she know anything about the marks? No, she knew it about already.

"How did you know?" All my stuttering and pleas vanished from my tone. Panic and fear took over it.

Aerila smirked, "Did you know we are one of the oldest species on this planet? You are not too dumb, right? So, I don’t have to say anything. Just guess yourself."

Oldest species? A shiver ran down my spine. Demons existed much before humans. They existed during the time when the elves still walked on this planet. This information was never used in the plot itself. I had written about this in my novel to elaborate Aerila’s backstory. This held no value whatsoever. My thought process came to halt when she pinched my chin and forced me to look up.

Aerila sneered, "What are you thinking? Focus on me! Because I know everything about you and your true race. Tonight, I am going to mark you." With that, she smashed her lips on mine.
