Chapter 80: It’s About My Time with Kelshin

Third POV—

"So, she remembers her past life?" asked Maria. Until that point, she thought Pristine won’t remember a thing but it seemed like it wasn’t the case.

"I remember everything, Maria," said a very haughty voice.

Everyone turned their attention to the new person who entered into room. Pristine moved her gaze over everyone, before taking a seat near Suroralia.

Kaerin’s face worsened. Without wasting any time, she sneered at her. "Of course, you would remember it. Why wouldn’t you? You were there as well." Her tone was fully sarcastic.

"It isn’t the time to be taking jabs at each other. We need to work together," Maria reasoned.

"Oh, like what? Like you, trying to betray Sharon. I don’t trust you," Pristine mocked her. Maria’s face turned dark hearing those words but she controlled herself.

Kaerin clapped her hands slowly. "Your words are very vague. It’s like a thief is trying to arrest another thief." She moved her gaze across everyone and settled it on the glass table. If a person focused a bit more, they could see was looking at her reflection.

It was obvious they had a deep secret buried in their hearts which raised a series of question. But it wasn’t the time to address them. To be honest, it wasn’t because of time... it was because they would never reveal it to anyone, even Sharon.

"Why did we turn back the time? I believe we all know this, don’t we?" said Suroralia.

Taking a deep breath, Suroralia rubbed her hands. She continued, "Everything revolves around the two of them. Sometimes, I feel like I am their pawn."

Pristine nodded and said, "You are right. I think the same as well."

Kaerin was enraged by their words. Maria was one thing, but being in room with the other two, always made her angry. She didn’t know if it was because she hated them or, she simply couldn’t tolerate them.

"Stop talking in that cryptic language, ok? You are just making me angry," yelled Kaerin.

Maria wasn’t surprised by her behaviour. Kaerin’s temper was very bad, especially after their past life.

Maria said, "We are here to talk about Sharon’s disappearance. Tell us everything you know Pristine." Right now, she didn’t care about their positions in the social ladder. So, she simply called by her name because of the urgency of matter.

Out of all of them, Pristine’s temper was the worst, even more dangerous than Kaerin. She yelled, "Are you calling me by my name? How dare you!"

Suroralia raised her hand, signalling Pristine to keep her anger in check. Instead of calming down, her anger flared even more but she didn’t say anything.

"Stop this cat fighting! Pristine, I didn’t make you come here to fight with others. We are here to find a solution," Suroralia hissed.

Maria asked, "Solution? For what? Wait! First," she turned towards Pristine, "I am surprised that you suddenly came out of nowhere. Were you already here? Hiding somewhere waiting to spy on us?"

Pristine shook her head in disgust. "I just reached here, and as for you talk... I didn’t hear a single fucking thing. Except Suroralia’s last words," she stated.

Kaerin said, "I am waiting. What type of solution do you want to discuss about?"

Sighing, Suroralia observed Kaerin for a moment before opening her mouth. She said, "I am talking about those two. What do we intend to do with them?"

Maria and Kaerin looked at each other. Both of their faces hardened, depicting an internal conflict between themselves.

One was clearly against this, and the other at least wanted to hear them out. As for their identities... you should know yourself.

Kaerin closed her mouth and didn’t say anything. But Maria said, "You don’t need to do anything. We know what happened in our first life. Her Majesty’s behaviour is different from our past life. Everything is different. So, I will like to advise you to drop your previous agendas and focus on protecting her."

"You got your power, didn’t you? And did that bring you? Nothing, Suroralia, nothing. Your power was for a fleeting moment."

"As for you, Pristine... your obsession with that person is unhealthy. Tell me, why did you like him in the first place?"

"Why did you like him? Tell us that and I will answer your question," Pristine shot back her question at Maria.

Kaerin had no attraction towards him and Pristine knew it. Suroralia wanted power even if she sacrificed her love, which did eventually. Aerila wanted revenge and peace simultaneously. Two contradicting things could never exist together but that woman wanted it. But... Maria, she didn’t know much about her desire apart from loyalty.

Just as everyone thought, Maria was about to avoid the question... she answered directly looking into Pristine’s eyes. "I never loved him. Loyalty is all I felt for him. His family saved me from hell, which was a lie. If Her Majesty didn’t point me about that man’s involvement with Nightinshade... I may not have ever recalled the truth." Her words were crisp and clear. Even if one wanted to find lies in those words, they couldn’t. All they could do was to drink those words like drinking a bitter cough syrup.

After Maria stopped talking, everyone turned their attention towards Pristine. She was bombarded inquisitive gazes, which would not stop until they dig out the truth from her. Taking a sharp intake of air, as if it could calm her nerves, she nodded. "You didn’t lie. You want to know about my obsession, right?" Pristine looked at each of them one after one, "Sharon was the reason. She is the one. And as for whether, I like him or not... I never liked him in the first place."

Confusion was all they could feel. Not only them but also, anyone who would listen to them would feel it as well. Like? Pristine was obsessed with Kelshin! But... her eyes... they seemed firm and rigid like they wanted to convey that person’s truth. A very few people could lie with their eyes, and Pristine was not one of them.

"So, if you don’t like him? Did Aerila like Kelshin? How come none of us ever like him and went on with his plan?" asked Kaerin.

This question made everyone silent for a moment. Suddenly, Pristine snorted loudly.

"What does it matter? To stop him, we need to do two things... or, take the short cut. It will delay Kelshin from That’s what we know," said Pristine, with a mocking tone.

"Are you suggesting we kill Sharon? Are you mad?" yelled Kaerin. She immediately stood up and grabbed Pristine’s throat.

This time even Maria didn’t say anything. She kept quiet and glared at Pristine with her frosty eyes. At that moment, Kaerin was pushed back by a gust of wind, causing her to release Pristine. She clenched her throat and rubbed it, trying to soothe pain while coughing heavily.

"Listen to her. She was not implying that," said Suroralia.

"THEN WHAT WAS SHE IMPLYING? SAY IT BEFORE I CRUSH YOU WITH MY HANDS!!"

Suroralia said, "We do know what to do. To stop him, we need to kill him and destroy his lab, before ’that thing’ takes shape. I still don’t know what that is... but what we know is to destroy it. If not that, we need to kill Sharon to put a dent on his plans." Kaerin almost attacked her hearing this but Maria stopped her.

"STOP!" Maria looked at Kaerin’s murderous eyes. Even her eyes were not any better, but she wanted to at least hear out them before losing her own temper. If their words were not to her taste, she would herself kill those two. She continued, "Then, what plan do you have?"

Pristine, who had already got her talking ability back, answered her instead of Suroralia. "We have to take action now. Before he can, we will strike him down."

"It sounds weird coming from your mouth," Kaerin gagged in disgust.

Pristine ignored and her continued, "What I am saying is, we will have to attack him before he does. Both financially and mentally... because physically we are incapable. But if we are talking about his underlings, then we can."

Hearing this, Kaerin finally calmed down and so did Maria.

Maria gave them a bright smile and said, "Your plan is like this... I am impressed but I can’t allow you to go with that plan."

"Because Sharon will be in trouble? If that’s the case, don’t worry he won’t hurt her. That entity needs her for something, right? So, there is no chance it will hurt, or worse... kill her. We know what happened in our past life. Both the entity and Kelshin will never let her die," Pristine’s eyes darkened, "I am sure about it."

Suroralia nodded and opened her mouth. Hesitation was clearly written all over face. "There is something you should know. It’s about my time with Kelshin," she said, with an unsure voice.
