Third POV—

"Now, should we move on to next one. You know, I was wrong. This one is not a story. I am going to say something unrealistic... something mind-blowing. Do you want to hear it?"

Uriel rolled his eyes in annoyance. He found Kelshin to be overly dramatic in that moment. What would he say? He didn’t think that it would be very big secret. But what he didn’t know, once his ’dear’ friend fired the arrow, nothing would remain same.

Marquis Waetoul said, "We do want to hear it, Your Grace."

Kelshin smiled at them. Good. They agreed with him. Once he said everything, not a single thing would be left upright. Words could cause chaos, even in a peaceful civilisation and that’s what he was gonna do. He was going to play with their fear.

He scoffed disdainfully in his heart but didn’t show it on his face. "Well then, don’t interrupt me. Okay?"

Everyone nodded. Uriel focused all his attention on Kelshin. Smiling as usual, he began unleashing his words... which were going to reveal everything.

Kelshin said, "Abilities. What do we know about them? People like you will answer various things. Some will say, ’It is something ingrained in our core long before our birth.’ As for the rest, they will say, ’It makes us different from commoners.’ Both these statements are right. But there are some exceptions, right? Some commoners do have abilities. Just for the record, I happen to someone personally. She worked as a maid for me. Well, coming back to the topic. Demons do have abilities as well. They existed long before we humans came to play."

"What I am going to say, is going to blow your mind apart. Hehe... I am saying this for a long time, aren’t I? Abilities are very useful and you all do have at least one. A very few people have more than one. So, what if I tell that this situation is different from the past? At first, abilities were only with demons. Humans didn’t have them."

Duke Glimpiseie mouth parted in shock. Forget about him, the rest of them were not any better. Their jaws were practically handing on the ground.

"That’s right. We didn’t have them. Demons, demi-humans and elves were the first to have any ability. Humans, who came much latter then them, had nothing. They were oppressed by other races, and were regarded as weak species. Threat? Zero. Power? Zero. But the game changed, when Charatshore family came to existence. It was the same time when elves ceased to exist. I know, most of you think elves were a myth. Gentlemen, I am afraid that you are wrong. They did exist. But pollution, interspecies wars, and their mating with humans... made them endangered to extinct. And here comes, the twist. They had descendants... who lived among humans. Basically, they disguised themselves as humans, they were not really humans. Charatshore family, and the current emperor, Sharon Charatshore... she is the living descendant of the elven line."

He produced some papers with his flick of his hands and distributed them. Everyone read them and were shocked beyond disbelief. Every line made them rethink everything.

The papers screamed everything about Sharon’s secrets, her family secrets... everything.

"How did they dare to keep this from us? They hid the truth!"

"They are unfit for ruling! No, Sharon Charatshore is unfit for ruling!"

"Only humans can rule humans!"

All kinds of angry and dissatisfied sounds were heard. Kelshin smirked. Human hearts were really something, weren’t they? The royal family that they were disgusted with, was the same family that established this empire.

"Quiet! I haven’t completed," said Kelshin. This made everyone quiet.

Uriel asked, "Will you continue?"

Kelshin gave Uriel a bright smile. He said, "Of course, I will. The Charatshore family with their special privilege became the first humans with abilities. They were so strong that they even defeated the evil dragon and founded this empire. But what about the real humans? They were powerless. None to zero that is. What about them? Elves were not there but demons and demi-humans were there, right?"

"A man, who was worried about the future of humans thought something. He wanted to make humans strong... to bestow abilities upon them, was his only desire. But how? This question made him do some immoral things," Kelshin looked at each of them one by one.

"He experimented on them. Created devices and made chemicals, which helped him in his job. He wanted to create a powerful fighting force against the other species. And he succeeded in it. You two factions were his fruits of his hard work. AF, which was the first batch, and NF, which was the second batch. As, we very well know NF members are the branches of AF members, aren’t they? So, it gives you more than enough reason to be together. You are in a way... family."

"The Charatshores felt threatened by this. They didn’t want this person to create special people like you. So, he was executed by them."

Duke Glimpiseie said, "Forgive me, Your Grace. But are you saying, we could have been more powerful?"

Smiling, Kelshin said, "Yes. That person selected only special people, like you and your forefathers. The commoners were the people, he detested very much."

"But why did our forefathers never tell us? And also, about this fact that NF is our branches?" asked Glimpiseie.

Kelshin replied, "Because the first emperor prohibited them. He ordered them to erase everything, giving them no choice but to do that... to save us... you, me, and everyone."

Duke Glimpiseie’s face became enraged. He never expected that the royal family was so disgusting.

"After his death, Charatshores became the ultimate powerhouse. The first batch created AF to keep the emperor’s power in check. You should all know that the houses of NF came abruptly. It was because AF decided to preserve their blood. With the creation of NF, they ensured purity. They wanted you two factions to have marriage ties with one another, so that your line remains pure. But what did you do? You all fought like cats and dogs," Kelshin took a deep breath, "I think it was a very good idea. Although, some married commoners and left their family. This gave birth to some commoners who were unworthy of this power. Tell me, is it wrong for us to detest the commoners? They are made for us... to provide us the ladder... to climb and achieve our impending success. The success, that my forefather desired, Caestril Dimortyil desired."

"No! He was right!"

"He was unjustly executed!"

"Commoners should sacrifice themselves for us! For our future!"

"Your Grace, that man is our god. He wanted for us to be powerful. To show demons and demi-humans there place."

Kelshin nodded, "Thank you, for recognizing the greatness of my forefather," he wiped a tear from his eyes, "I am glad, really glad. He wanted to achieve greatness for humanity. So, what if some humans were sacrificed along the way?"

"Today, this is what I wanted to say. I need all your support. With your help, we could achieve greatness. We could create... gods. People like them need to accept our superiority. And people like Charatshores are needed to be punished. I, Kelshin Dimortyil, will take my forefather’s research to a whole new level. And I am glad that I am still continuing his legacy. With the records he left, I have created... our future. I am glad to say that I have created a better one. It can make you immortal. Nothing will be out of our grasp. We will tighten our hold on everything. This is my future, our future... everyone’s future. Are you with me?"

"Yes! Your Grace!"

"We are with you!"

"We will always be with you! As long as we could!"

Voices of agreement tore apart the morality. Their eyes shone with greed. They wanted more power... even if they sacrificed innocent humans; even if they sacrificed their soul. The greed of power blinded them, covered their eyes with their ’utopia,’ made them think that they could tear apart the moral justice. Who could stop them? No one could. That was they believed. And the culprit, Kelshin laughed in joy.

"Great! I am glad that you all... all of you are with me in this noble goal. We will forge our own path and create our own future."

Duke Glimpiseie nodded, "We will, Your Grace... I am wrong. Let me rephrase it. I mean, Your Majesty."

Marquis Waetoul agreed, "Your Majesty... hmmm, it does sound right. We will be with you till the end. For our dreams and ambitions."

Everyone nodded and fell on their knees. They lowered their head in submission.

"ALL HAIL YOUR MAJESTY! ALL HAIL KELSHIN DIMORTYIL! THE TRUE EMPEROR!"

"ALL HAIL YOUR MAJESTY! ALL HAIL KELSHIN DIMORTYIL! THE TRUE EMPEROR!"

"ALL HAIL YOUR MAJESTY! ALL HAIL KELSHIN DIMORTYIL! THE TRUE EMPEROR!"

They chanted continuously, making Kelshin smile widely. He said, "Meeting is over. Please be ready for our next one, my devoted subjects. Hahaahaa..."
