Chapter 49: The Owner of the Magic Tower

Sharon’s POV—

I was reviewing documents for the upcoming budget discussion. I have planned it to present it first to my faction. I am going to finalize the budget after discussing it with my faction members.

"When are you going to meet the magic tower’s owner? They have asked for an audience with you," said Leon.

Hah! The owner of the magic tower? I sighed in annoyance. Has the time to meet the fourth heroine arrived already? The fourth heroine, Suroralia Actoze was the owner of the magical tower. But that wasn’t the main highlight of the person called, ’Suroralia Actoze.’ She was the tutor of the protagonist.

Suroralia taught Kelshin everything. Magic, strategy, sword arts... everything. She was a complete package. It was due to her, Kelshin was able to portray himself as the messiah of this empire. Although with his tenacity, I am sure he didn’t need her.

Unlike the rest of the heroines, Suroralia wanted power for herself. After Kelshin became the emperor, she became his empress. Hah! Student to lover... I had wanted to curse myself for writing that. Yet, I did write that for only one reason. When we were in our school phase, I am sure each one of us had crush on at least one teacher of our choice. The same happened in our college life as well. And being able to conquer such a big figure in your life satisfies your ego. The readers were fucking happy and I got views.

’Yeah? If I had known that my writing would manifest a parallel world of some sorts, I would have not only burned my novel but also, would have stopped my writing career.’

I ignored its teasing and looked at Leon. "I will meet them. Tell them to come tomorrow," I replied.

Leon nodded his head and went to prepare an approval letter. Suddenly, Kaerin burst into the room. Looking at me with a frantic look, she yelled, "The count has been captured!"

I jumped out of my seat and asked, "Where is he?"

"He is currently held in the underground prison. Shall we go now?"

"Yes! Let’s go."

I am dying to meet the count after what happened that day. I want to see his reaction when he finally knows that the woman he tried to kill by the hands of his assistant, is me.

When I reached there, I found Maria standing just outside his cell. Seeing my face, she smiled a goofy smile, but the smile immediately turned grim when she looked at Kaerin, who was standing beside me.

"Is he awake?" I asked in anticipation.

"He is not. But if you want, we can," replied Maria. She opened the cell’s door and went in. Following her lead, the two of us entered into the cell as well.

Maria raised her leg and kicked right in his stomach. Feeling a sudden pain in his stomach, Heriedieck’s eyes were snapped open. He howled in pain. But he was kicked again in the same region by Maria, who was annoyed by his howling.

"SHUT UP!!" shouted Maria.

Heriedieck bit his lower lip to stifle the painful grunts coming out of his mouth.

"It has been a long time Heriedieck... or maybe not. But it’s apparent that you are not doing well," I commented.

He immediately turned towards me in anger, probably to see the person who was mocking him. Upon seeing me, Heriedieck’s face lost all of its colour.

"Did you see a ghost? Close your mouth. It’s stinking!" I mocked him.

"... Y-y-your M-m-majesty... I-I..." stuttered Heriedieck.

"Stop your stuttering and answer me. Did you really believe that your assistant can kill me?" I asked. Heriedieck’s expression turned into confusion.

Before Heriedieck could answer, Maria muttered, "Killed?" Her reaction was full of anger. Of course, it wasn’t towards me. Kaerin mirrored the same angry expression of hers.

I shook my head and said, "You two, drop it. I have already killed his assistant. Right now, you should focus on Heriedieck, not me."

Heriedieck paled even more at my words. He yelled, "It was you?!" Maria kicked him again, causing him to howl in pain again. Not finding it enough, she kicked him a few more times.

"Shut up! Don’t yell at her! And don’t cry out in pain! Understood?" shouted Maria.

"I think you are the one who is shouting more," jabbed Kaerin, aiming at Maria.

Maria glared at her and didn’t say anything. Instead, she turned towards Heriedieck and glared at him with a murderous look.

"Enough. Maria don’t hit him and you, Kaerin... please don’t tease her. Please! Can you two stop fighting?" I asked them. Nodding at my words, they kept quiet.

"Heriedieck... I know everything about your organisation. Me and Maria, both of us have worked together to destroy your organisation," I pointed at Maria, "I even know that you are not the true leader, thanks to her. You are puppet. One whose strings are held by Kelshin, am I right?" I crouched to his level, "I promise you that you will be given a swift death. It’s mercy, if I add. Tell me, Heriedieck... what do you think about it?"

Heriedieck closed his eyes for some time as if he was contemplating about my idea. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and spat at me.

"YOU BASTARDDD!!!"

"I WILL KILL YOU!!"

Two murderous sounding yells rang together. I immediately raised my hand and stopped them. "Don’t move," I ordered. I tore the sleeves of my clothes and wiped the disgusting thing on my face.

"But he needs to be punished!" yelled Kaerin.

"Yeah. We can at least tear his limbs," added Maria.

"No," I replied, shooting down both their ideas. I looked directly into Heriedieck’s eyes to see regret shining in them. Of course, he regretted this. It was an impulse which he couldn’t control.

"You called for me, Your Majesty." It was Leon. Entering the cell, Leon walked towards me and stood near me.

"Yes, Leon. I called for you," I pointed at Heriedieck, "I want you to break this man. I want him to answer all my question. This fucking man spat at me. I believe you know what you should do when someone threatens the emperor’s dignity."

"Yes, Your Majesty. I will make him answer your every question."

I smirked, "As expected from my assistant. But be quick."
