Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System
Chapter 678 - 678: Giant Red Door

When Chaos learned the Primal Bone Tempering Art, Kent only felt what it was like to learn the technique. So, he never truly knew what happened during the learning process..

That was why he was taken aback when he was pulled into a world he could only describe as horrific. He was standing in water that reached his waist.

He had no idea how vast it was, but from what he could see, it resembled a river, given its vastness and encompassing nature.

The water was red, and while it didn't have the feel of blood, it carried its stench—the metallic stench of blood was palpable in the water.

The air was filled with it, and as he looked at the red sky and red sun—or perhaps the moon—Kent knew he had found himself in yet another freaky situation.

This time, instead of a large dragon swinging its claws downward, Kent found himself in a much more dire situation.

The water was not blood, so there is a bonus to that...

However, it came with its disadvantages, and one of them was the fact that Kent was already losing his spiritual qi, not rapidly, but at a rate that would drain him if he remained there for long.

So he spread his senses across the space to look for a way out. However, no matter where he looked, all he saw was the vastness of red water. There was no sense of direction. It was essentially water, and he appeared to be standing in the middle.

This meant that if he moved forward, he didn't know if it would take him to his destination or if he should move back. It didn't have any heads or tails to it. But he had to do something, or else he would run out of energy, and who knows what would happen then.

He most certainly wouldn't want to find out the hard way...

So he knew he had to pick a direction.

"A wise man once said, the first thought that comes to mind is often right... Backwards then." Kent turned around and began moving toward the direction his back had initially faced.

He knew he had to move, so he chose a direction and began to move. The rest would depend on whether his choice led him to where he wanted to go.

Hours passed, and all Kent could do was keep moving. And while his leg was touching the floor of this great red river, it didn't feel like he was moving any faster.

He was walking, which was less taxing compared to swinging his arms and legs. Swimming that way would consume more energy, unlike walking, which consumed relatively little. But despite that, he wasn't moving any faster or approaching his destination.

If there was even a destination to get to.

For all he knew, this was just an aimless walk that held no meaning...

But he couldn't stop now, especially since he didn't know how to get out of the damn river or the wierd space he had found himself in. He couldn't communicate with the Tower, nor could he reach out to his three assistants.

It was as if his connection to all who could help him was severed. Of course, Gaia told him this might happen often...

She explained that there are many laws in the universe, some of which are stricter than others. So in most cases, some worlds would have laws that prevented him from doing things like talking telepathically to his wives—the three of them—or even the tower.

It is more common for him to experience this in high worlds. However, he had already started to experience it now, which showed that his tower was powerful, but there were laws even it couldn't break or dare to break in order to maintain balance...

If it could break any laws, then Kent wouldn't have to do anything. The tower could basically raise his cultivation base, master alchemy for him, learn the laws for him, and even allow him to kill gods without having much strength.

The laws govern everything. They govern the various stages in cultivation, the energies one uses in combat, or even the skills used in combat.

If the tower can break said laws, then Kent wouldn't even have to do anything...He can command a Celestial to drop dead, and since the laws that regulate that command are broken, the Celestial will indeed drop dead.

That will be a disaster...

Of course, the tower could help him gain access to more information, give him powerful gifts, and other valuable things, but that didn't mean it could break the laws and allow him, a core formation expert, to kill a god.

That is not something that has a happy ending...

So, Kent knew he had to sometimes chase after what he wanted, using his strength and will. This way, he wouldn't rely solely on the tower.

And today, he found himself in a situation that made him miss the tower and his three assistants. But that didn't change the fact that he still didn't know where he was going or what he was meant to do.

He was moving in a direction he had picked on a whim, and that alone shows he was just going along, while deep down, he hoped he had chosen the right direction to take.

In simple terms, he had no sense of direction in the Great Red River.

A day passed, and he could only continue to move. Eventually, he started to notice a change. He began to lose more energy than before, and the water grew stronger, resisting him even further.

Kent cursed but continued to move. Eventually, the pressure in the river grew even stronger, slowing down his movement considerably.

It was like he couldn't even move his legs a couple of inches without feeling the pressure pushing back.

"At this rate, I will need years to get to my destination, even if there is one," Kent sighed and then kept moving. Eventually, he started to take a few more seconds before he could move his leg.

"No wonder Chaos took five years just to learn this technique," Kent smirked. "Why am I even complaining... the reward is something I will enjoy greatly. I know Chaos did." Kent smiled, then kept moving.

Eventually, he caught sight of something in the far distance. It was far away—very far away. However, he saw something, and that thing was what he was after.

So Kent started moving toward it. It was slow and would probably take weeks to reach, but he kept moving regardless.

Granted, he reached his destination; whatever awaited him would be taken care of. Chaos was able to do it, so he most certainly would have to do it.

Not that he was comparing himself to the freak, but he most certainly wanted to surpass himself...His mentor is himself, and he plans to surpass himself.

The resistance in the water continued to increase as he moved. It took him hours to move a couple of meters, even half a dozen meters. But Kent was moving forward nonetheless.

Eventually, the structure he saw became clearer as he got closer... after days, perhaps weeks—Kent lost count—but after a while, he came within 100 meters of a giant red door.

"Well, that just looks terrifying."
