Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System -
Chapter 677 - 677: The Way Forward [Bonus]
Vorthar had already retrieved a memory that showed he was betrayed by his wives and the Demon King he served under. It was a brutal betrayal, considering he said wives, not wife.
It was a common thread he shared with the Barbarian King Gorzak, who was also betrayed.
So the dark pill of betrayal had already left its bitter mark in his mouth. He knew he had been betrayed, but he had no idea how it had happened.
But now he does...
...and the answer isn't one he expected—none of them expected that.
"It turns out I ventured into an ancient ruin full of perils but returned triumphantly with the scale of the Primordial Chaos Dragon...
It was my one shot at becoming someone worthy of being equal to a Demon King. But it turns out I wasn't meant to be... I didn't even get to celebrate my achievement with everyone."
Vorthar clenched his fist, recalling the fateful day he returned to see his wife in the arms of the Demon King and his death smiling at him in the face. That was a bitter poison to swallow.
His friends could tell he was seething with anger, and judging by the aura emanating from him, they knew that the day he would arrive in his world, all hell would break loose.
Kent sighed in his heart and then tapped into his connection with Yi Lai, who was on her way to the oracle headquarters to kill every last one of them.
'Yi La, leave one of the oracles alive and tell them to deliver a message to the Hand for me. Tell them I said they should hurry, or else I will make them do it painfully. They have less than three years to open the gate of the apocalypse.'
His message was simple: since the apocalypse is bound to come, he must have a timeline. After all, his two reasons for staying and facing the apocalypse were that he wanted to save the world his journey began in, and also preserve the world his wives were born in.
He wasn't planning to leave Sonox for another five years, perhaps more. This was because Gaia stated that only from the Pill King stage can one register as an Alchemist in the high worlds.
Naturally, Kent knew there would be a way to navigate that, but since he had nothing to rush into, he planned to become a Pill King before moving to a High World.
But his chaotic blood was boiling now for revenge. Hearing what happened to Vorthar, he wanted to rise through the ranks faster and help him get his revenge.
So he wanted things in Sonox to escalate.
Right now, he didn't even want to figure out why the Hand was planning on opening the gate of apocalypse. He just wanted it to open, and once it closed, there would be no way to reopen it ever again...
This meant the Hand was being too slow.
They had already found four keys; they were left with only three... so Kent wanted them to hurry, and after what Yi Lai planned to do at the Oracle headquarters, the Hand would start to take him seriously.
"Don't worry, Vorthar, we will get your revenge, and now that you are my subordinate, I will ensure you know more about me, that goes to you all...
When the time comes, the entire universe will recognize you all as friends and family of the Chaos Dragon..."
They all laughed, and deep inside, they were happy.
Especially Zharkaz, who couldn't wait to brag about his status once his memories returned. Kent knew that this arrogant dragon needed to be brought down a peg or else his arrogance would be his doom.
But for now, he would let him have his moment.
Kent spent a few more hours with his legion, sparring with them.
Naturally, he won all the spars the moment he used his bloodline. He made them all use at least 10% of the bloodline since he had no reason to see their wrecked selves after every spar, like he did with Kaizo.
Ultimately, they suffered a devastating defeat. Kent even wondered if he was truly only using 1% of his bloodline, but in the end, that was the only answer... even the tower confirmed it.
After the sparring session, which they all enjoyed, he left and went back to the Soul Tower to examine a few things.
First, he tried to use more of his bloodline, but he was met with severe pain that caused him to black out. When he woke up five days later, a severe headache rocked his brain, telling him not to be stupid ever again.
Naturally, he took that warning to heart.
"So the only way to surpass 1% is to cultivate the Primal Bone Tempering Art," Kent said, looking at his arm covered in dragon scales. "But the only way to cultivate it is through bloodshed. However, I can't stay for long inside the dungeon since I have to seek out the Pill Princess."
Kent fell and lay on his back, staring at the blue sky and thirteen moons. Three shone more brightly than the other ten. He paid little attention to them since his focus was drawn back to the issue at hand.
"I have two months left to get to the Half-Elves Kingdom, which means I have less than sixty days on the outside to at least master the first form." Kent thought for a moment, then a smirk appeared on his lips.
"Not that I have to be afraid of anyone out there. This is a medium world, and my strength is enough to put me at the peak... but being too powerful isn't bad either."
Kent rose from his comfortable state and sat down. He then decided to learn the Primal Bone Tempering Art.
This way, while he was away, every small kill would benefit him. He is venturing into a pool of people...some stupid ones would try to court death...
"Then again, I can just use the dungeons in here to master at least the first form. It took Chaos several years, but with the no-dying policy in the dungeons, I can master the first form much faster...
⟦Unfortunately, the master can't use the dungeons to cultivate the Primal Bone Tempering Art. It can only be practiced in a life-and-death battle.⟧
A weak smile appeared on Kent's face... 'Why did I even think it would be that easy?'
He closed his eyes, a smile playing on his lips as he dove into comprehending the Primal Bone Tempering Art...
A few minutes later, his consciousness was pulled into a world of blood...
