It wasn’t unexpected for Zenith to act out of the blue all of a sudden, because he was always too eager to do something crazy. Maybe it was his wild nature.

So Kylian wasn’t too startled by his answer. But after he blankly stared at Zenith for a brief moment he rolled his gaze all around the room while stepping inside. The size of the room was comparatively much smaller than Zenith’s room which was also decorated with exquisite furniture.

In contrast to that, Kylian’s room rather looked very plain, with dull wallpapers and a big wooden bed located at the center of the room. There was only a study table assigned to him in the name of furniture, two small windows, and a separate washroom which also seemed quite ordinary just like the room.

Zenith’s spacious room had lavish decorations of lights as well as a wide open balcony along with big windows for proper ventilation. Even in comparison to Stephan’s room, his room was literally the smallest one in size.

Kylian smirked to realize this was clear favoritism which he had prepared himself to face even before enrolling in the richest Academy where only the children of Elite Alphas studied. However, the reality still stung him a bit.

However, watching Kylian contort his lips into an offended smirk, Zenith walked ahead into the room first while he muttered, "This room already seems very cozy. I think I like it here more than my own room."

"Really?" Getting a quick idea from his words, Kylian approached him while asking keenly, "Then, do you want to exchange rooms? Give me your spacious room and you can take this one."

Watching the keen glimmer in his blue rolled orbs made Zenith snicker a little. He was clearly able to see his intentions behind asking him, but Zenith still played along with him, "Really? Do you want to take my room?"

"Of course! There’s a wide-open balcony in your room, I clearly remember that. The room is so spacious and awesome, I had only ever seen such dormitory rooms in movies. So, if you like this tiny shabby room more, give me that one." Kylian sounded pretty brazen while depicting his true intention.

"Do you like that room because of that one small balcony?"

"Small?" Frowning at his remark, Kylian scoffed at him quickly, "You call that small? Do you know how much it will relax you when you can see everyone downstairs from your open balcony while breathing the fresh air in the morning? That is literally a soothing place."

However, Zenith’s face turned a bit perplexed from his comment when he crossed his muscular arms over his chest before asking bluntly, "That means if I give you that room, you will stand at the balcony and watch other Alphas from over there in the morning, right?"

"Yes...huh? What? When did I say this?" However, Kylian was a little taken aback by his sudden charges, as he deliberately defended himself, "When did I say I would watch other Alphas from there? Just now I talked about enjoying the first-morning air—"

"Nope, I won’t allow it." However, as expected his childish overthinking instincts kicked in when Zenith curtly refused his demand, "It’s better that you should stay here at the furthest corner room in the hallway, and in this way, you wouldn’t attract much attention here."

"Wait...you are assuming things again, right?"

However, nonchalantly ignoring his whines, Zenith picked out two keys from that bunch and handed one key over to Kylian before he asserted, "This is the key to your room. And I will keep one key with me since you have a knack for causing trouble and endangering yourself in the most ridiculous ways possible."

"Huh? Why would you keep the key to my room?" Puzzled by his actions, Kylian complained while trying to snatch the other key from his arm.

"So that I can come here anytime and keep a check on you. I am doing this for your sake." Zenith calmly answered while he raised his arm up as much as he could so that Kylian wouldn’t be able to take the key from him.

But still dumbfounded by his moves, Kylian grunted at him, "I don’t want that. This is a breach of my privacy! I can’t allow you to do this!"

"Did you already forget the deal between us?" Trying to calm down his stubbornness, Zenith tactfully mentioned their deal as a way to divert his attention, "As the pact stated I am your Master from now on, and I have the right to keep a close watch on my troublemaker pet. That’s why I will keep the key to your room with me to make sure you won’t try to do anything stupid again. But if you are still displeased, then I have another option."

Quietly he grabbed out another key and handed it to Kylian, while he asserted in a calm voice, "This is the key to my room. If you liked it so much, you can come by anytime you please. Especially if you start feeling horny at night or if you need my pheromones to calm down, I would be happy to assist if you come seeking me in my room."

"Y-You darn pervert!" Flustered by his brazen comment, Kylian swatted on his palm which was holding the key when he grunted at him clumsily, "I will never need your pheromones again, nor I will let you do any perverted thing with me! Did you also forget our complete deal? I said it won’t just end with a kick if you try doing something funny to me again...without my consent!"

"I remember everything very well, but still, you are the only person I am giving access to my room. So, you can use it anytime you feel scared or vulnerable here. No one will dare to enter my room without my permission so, don’t worry." His deep voice sounded very assuring inside the walls of the room when Zenith calmly handed the key of his room to Kylian.

Even though he was flustered by his tease, Kylian still didn’t misheard the loud thumping sound of his heartbeat, while sensing a strange fluttering inside his tummy. Startled by his own confused emotions how could he feel so comforted by his words when he was supposed to treat Zenith as his sworn enemy, Morpheus further added to his confusion.

~ "This is so romantic! He’s giving you the key to his room, do you know what that implies? This is not just the key to his room, but the key to his heart...and this Alpha is willingly handing it over to you, Kylian!"
