Chapter 128: Chapter 128: She is lying to you
Seeing him come towards me, I immediately moved out of the way and successfully dodged his punch, causing him to stumble a couple of steps before he caught himself and regained his balance. He turned back around to face me but before he could even say another word, I raised my hand and slapped him across his face without a single warning.
A loud gasp of surprise left their lips as Aaron glared at me with anger swirling in the depths of his eyes and his features hardened while his face darkened visibly.
"Did you just –"
I interrupted, cutting him off before he could finish his sentence. "This is for Serena and her two daughters," I announced.
He let out a deep chuckle upon hearing the words that left my mouth. "For Serena?" He repeated, tossing my words right back at me with an incredulous look plastered across his face. "Did you forget that she betrayed you?" He snarled, his voice filled with disdain and rage.
A loud scoff left my parted lips and I stepped forward towards him, closing the gap between us. "That doesn’t mean you can get away with cheating on your wife," I hissed as I narrowed my eyes at him. "You –"
The word barely left my lips when a loud voice came booming in the back. Almost immediately, I whipped my head around to find myself looking at the security guards marching towards us.
"There! It is them!" The receptionist from earlier pointed at us, her tone dripping with accusation as she pointed directly at Xavier and I. "They lied about giving out packages for an event, they were causing a scene in the office, disrupting the peace and work for everyone."
Without wasting another second, they approached us, trying to drag us out of the office but I quickly stopped them.
"It’s okay," I said, my voice remained unwavering as I looked up to meet their gaze. "We will leave on our own."
I glanced over to look at Aaron, a smug look was plastered across my face as we locked eyes from a distance.
"My job here is done now anyway."

"What the hell is your problem?" Stella snapped at me, her voice filled with disdain and contempt. "Because of your reckless actions, Aaron was fired from his job!" she screamed, her shrill voice piercing through the air.
A cold chuckle left my parted lips as I kept my gaze steady and I arched an eyebrow at her.
"Shouldn’t you be worrying about Blake? Isn’t he in the hospital and he knows you cheated on him with another man," I taunted as a smirk tugged at the corners of my lips.
She couldn’t hold back a snicker that slipped through the gaps of her fingers as she stepped forward, closing the gap between us.
"Worried?" She repeated, throwing the word right back at me as smugness was radiating from every inch of her skin. "Why would I be? Blake is mine now," she declared proudly with an arrogant smile that was stretched across her face as she lifted her head up high.
Before another word could leave my lips, I watched as Blake started walking towards us and he slung his arm around Stella’s shoulders while she wrapped her fingers around his arm with a smirk etched onto her face.
A frown immediately appeared on my face, resting between my brows as my eyes darted between the two of them. I was looking at them with a puzzled expression that masked my features. What the hell is going on? Why is he still with her?
"What..." I muttered under my breath, my voice laced with a hint of confusion. "Why is he..." my voice trailed off.
The smirk that was lingering on her face widened this time. "Surprised?" She taunted arrogantly. "I told you Blake is with me now. You left him for another man, remember?"
I let out a loud scoff. "Excuse me? You are the one cheating on him with another man!" I declared out loud and turned to fix my gaze on him. "Did you forget? She is cheating on you."
He narrowed his eyes at me, his icy blue eyes swimming with disdain and contempt. "Stop trying to get in between Stella and I. She saved my life and you divorced me to marry another man!" He spat the words out like they were poison in his mouth, his tone carrying a sharp edge to it.
I shook my head, disbelief written all over my face.
"Are you serious? She is lying to you," I reminded. "Did you not hear her mention the man’s name earlier?"
"She told me that he is her friend," he retorted. "And besides... are you trying to say that my girlfriend and my mother would lie to me? They told me that Stella is my girlfriend and that you left me. Why would they lie to me?" He questioned with a raised brow as he leaned forward, his face dangerously close to mine this time.
It was at this moment when it clicked inside my head and I finally understood what was going on. He must have been suffering from some form of amnesia caused by his head injury, that was the only plausible explanation but I still couldn’t help but to laugh at the ridiculousness of his words.
"Her friend?" I asked. "And you believe her? If you are going to be so naive and stupid then I can’t help you even if I wanted to."
I watched as his eyes widened with anger as he gritted his teeth and clenched his jaw tightly. "You!"
Stella chimed in, defending him. "Don’t call my boyfriend stupid and naive," she demanded as she glared at me with burning eyes. "You don’t even know what you are talking about," she snapped.
She turned to look up at him and meet his eyes, her gaze immediately softened. "Babe, don’t let her get to you, she’s not worth it at all." She rested her hand on his arm. "You know that I love you right?"
Rolling my eyes, I spun on my heels to leave when Stella reached out to grab me by my arm, pulling me back.
"Where do you think you are going? Did I give you permission to leave yet?" She challenged with a defiant look dancing in her dark brown eyes.
I yanked my wrist out of her grasp and kept my gaze steady. "What do you want? I have no time to entertain you."
"I want you to apologise to him," she demanded with a smirk that played on her lips. "You know... for landing him in the hospital."
A soft chuckle left my lips as I looked at her. "Sure," I agreed without hesitation and stepped forward to close the distance between us as I locked eyes with Blake. "I’m sorry that you choose to be so stupid."
