Chapter 126: Chapter 126: You have divorced her
Third Person POV
The moment the words left his lips, her face fell within the next second and she felt her heart sink to the pit of her stomach.
"...What...?" She mumbled under her breath, disbelief was written all over her face as she looked at him, emotions running wild in her dark brown eyes. She leaned forward, their faces now only inches apart as she grabbed onto his shoulder. Her fingernails dug into his skin as she shook him vigorously, unable to control her emotions and forgetting that he was just out of surgery. "Why are you asking about Aurelia? I’m your girlfriend!" She shouted angrily as she gritted her teeth and her heart was thumping loudly against her chest.
Without wasting another second, his arms reached up to push her hands off his shoulders with a frown etched between his brows as his features contorted into a pained expression.
"What do you think you are doing?" He sneered, his tone carrying a sharp edge to it as he glared at her. "You are not my girlfriend, I’m married to Aurelia," he insisted and his eyes were wandering around, as though he was searching for her.
"You are not married to her anymore! You two have divorced long ago!" she shouted louder this time, thinking it would somehow make it clearer and he would finally understand.
He shook his head. "No, you are lying to me," he said through gritted teeth. "Why would I divorce her? We just got married a couple of months ago!"
As soon as the words left the tip of her tongue, realisation dawned upon her and she finally realised what was happening. The head injury... It must have caused him to lose part of his memory as he seemingly travelled back in time.
She let out a breath as she fell back into the chair behind her. A defeated look was plastered across her face as she stared blankly into space, rendering her speechless at that moment.
It was at this exact moment when Laura came up to his side with a concerned expression plastered across her face. "Blake... My son..." she muttered under her breath, her voice trailing off. She looked at him with tears glistening in her eyes as she gently held his face. "Stella is telling the truth. She is your girlfriend now. Aurelia... that woman, she is the reason you are in the hospital right now."
His eyes widened with a mixture of surprise and shock in an instant as his mind struggled to comprehend the situation.
"What are you... What are you talking about? What do you mean that she is the reason I’m in the hospital?" He questioned, stammering as his eyes darted around with a confused look etched onto his face. "Stella is not my girlfriend. Aurelia is my wife," he continued to say as his voice remained unwavering.
"Blake... please..." Laura pleaded as Stella remained seated in the chair with the same blank expression that masked her features. "Aurelia is not your wife anymore. She left you for another man and she threw you out of the office, causing you to get into a car accident. Don’t you remember? She was also the reason you were fired from your previous job, she is out here to ruin your life and your future," she spat the words out like they were poison in her mouth.
Listening to the words his mother was feeding him, his fists were clenched tightly beside him. He looked up to meet his mother’s eyes this time. There’s no reason that she would be lying to him right?
"I... I don’t remember anything," he confessed. "Aurelia did all that? How could she do that to me? Why would she do that?" He questioned, his voice cracked towards the end of the sentence and hurt flashed past his blue eyes for a fleeting moment.
Laura held her son’s hands this time, letting the warmth of her palms seep into his skin as she kept her gaze steady.
"I don’t know, son. She’s a horrible woman who doesn’t deserve your time and love." She turned around to look at Stella this time, wrapping her fingers around her wrist. "But Stella over here... She was the one who saved you. She donated her blood to save your life, Blake," she announced and placed Stella’s hand in Blake’s hand.
"I..." His voice trailed off as his eyes flickered down to glance at her arm. Sure enough, there was a bandage wrapped around her elbow, the middle of her arm where they would poke her with the needle to draw her blood. He looked back up to meet Stella’s dark brown eyes. "You did that? You donated your blood to save me?"
She didn’t say a word but only nodded.
His gaze softened this time and the corners of his lips curled upwards into a slight smile.
"Thank you, Stella."

First Person POV
"This is it," I said as I looked up at the building in front of me.
"Are you sure you want to do this, Aurelia?" Xavier questioned as his brows were furrowed together and I turned to face him, letting our eyes meet. "Is Serena worth you doing this for her after what she did to you? You don’t have to do this, you know?"
"Yeah, I know..." I remarked, my voice trailing off as I kept my gaze steady. "But I want to do this," I confirmed as my dark eyes flashed with determination.
"Even if it isn’t for her, landing him in the hospital is an easy way out. It isn’t enough," I continued with a cold expression that masked my features. "Men like him need to know the consequences of cheating on their partners," I sneered with a disdainful scorn as I narrowed my eyes into thin slits.
Not going to lie, perhaps I have taken this situation much too personally, but I couldn’t care less. I’m not backing out now.
As a smirk morphed itself onto my lips, I pushed the cart of packages into the office lobby with a knowing look gleaming in my eyes. Lucky for us, there wasn’t any registration counter or security and we headed straight up to the 20th floor.
Ding.
The door opened and we walked out calmly and headed straight to the office where Aaron was working. We have heard from Bryce that Aaron had been discharged from the hospital a couple of days ago and was already back in the office to work.
The both of us confidently walked straight to the receptionist with smiles etched onto our faces.
"Good afternoon, Miss," I greeted. "We have some packages we would like to give out to the staff working here today. It is part of our grand opening event," I announced, handing her a flyer that Bryce has meticulously designed for us.
Before the lady could even say another word, we pushed our carts into the office area. "Please come support us at our newly opened store," we would say as we passed out the packages to anyone we laid eyes on.
With an excited grin on their faces, some of them immediately begin to tear open the package with anticipation swirling in the depths of their eyes only to be greeted by something that they would have never expected to see.
When they finally realised what they were looking at, a loud gasp erupted from the crowd.
