Chapter 123: Chapter 123: Karma is a bitch
As soon as the words left my lips, everyone in the crowd that was watching us collectively sucked in a gasp of air through their teeth at my sudden revelation. Their eyes that were once filled with excitement and anticipation were now filled with shock as their eyes darted around, casting judgemental glares at Stella and murmurs began to fill the air.
"What...?" Blake muttered under his breath as a frown crept onto his face to rest between his brows, a puzzled expression was stretched across his face.
I watched with a satisfied smile plastered across my face as Stella’s face turned a ghastly white and her mouth was left agape. I knew at that moment, her heart must have sunk to the pit of her stomach as she stared blankly in shock and was rendered speechless. Panic settled in and a flustered expression quickly masked her features as she tried to explain herself but only ended up stuttering.
"Blake... I... I... can explain," she said in a hurry as she desperately clung onto his arm and tried to get him to look into her eyes.
He let out a breath, a look of disbelief etched onto his face as they locked eyes. "You are cheating on me?" He questioned, his voice still laced with disbelief and denial before it was replaced with anger as realisation dawned upon him and it finally clicked inside his head. "So the Japan trip... You refused to send me any more pictures, is it because you were with that man?!" He yelled out loud this time, his voice shaking with rage and the words that left his lips were dripping with accusation. His icy blue eyes bored right into hers as he clenched his fists tightly beside him.
"I knew it..." he continued to mumble under his breath. "I knew you were acting strange but I didn’t want to question you, god, I’m so fucking stupid. I should have known!" He shouted, his loud voice echoing in the office lobby as his voice cracked towards the end of the sentence, betrayal swirling in the depths of his cold blue eyes.
Her eyes widened but she quickly shook her head. "No, no. That’s not true at all, I didn’t cheat on you!" She continued to deny the whole time as she wrapped her fingers around his arm but he quickly pushed her hands off of him. "You cannot believe a word that woman says. You know she is out to get me and she wants to ruin our relationship, you have to believe me, Blake," she pleaded, her tone reeked of desperation but Blake barely spared her another glance.
I was watching with amusement and satisfaction twinkling in my eyes when she turned to glare at me, her eyes burning with a fiery blaze. "You!" She sneered with a disdainful scorn. Before I knew it, she was marching over towards me, throwing accusations and insults my way. "You slut! You are a liar! I did not cheat –"
I looked at her coldly and I slapped her right across her face before she could even finish her sentence. A loud and surprised gasp rose from the crowd once again.
Her eyes grew wide as she whipped her head around to meet my gaze. "Aurelia! You –"
I slapped her another time and watched as her face turned red with anger and her eyes grew even wider, almost popping out of her eye sockets as she gritted her teeth.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?! Are you crazy?!" She screamed, her high-pitched voice piercing through the tension that was already lingering in the air between us as she raised her arm.
Before Xavier could even step forward to stop her, I caught her by her wrist before she could even lay her finger on me or come remotely close to me. My fingernails were digging into her skin as I stared at her. She winced in pain and I released my tight grip on her, throwing her arm back to her side.
"I’m not lying," I simply said as I kept my gaze steady and my voice remained unwavering.
She scoffed loudly. "You have no evidence of me cheating on Blake, you are just accusing me because you cannot stand to see us together, right?" She spat the words out like they were poison in her mouth as smugness was radiating off every inch of her skin. "Is that why you are doing this and framing me for something I didn’t do?!"
I kept the smile on my face as I stepped towards her, closing the gap between us. I leaned down so that my face was only inches away from hers.
"You must be stupid to think that I would make such a statement without any evidence," I said crudely as I let a low chuckle emerge from my throat. At this moment, the corners of my lips twisted upwards into a knowing smirk as my eyes flickered over to glance at Blake. "Blake," I called out to him.
"Don’t you want to see what your girlfriend has been doing behind your back this entire time?" I taunted as the smirk on my face grew wider as he turned to face me. Thanks to Bryce who had also sent me the pictures via my email, I pulled out my phone from my pocket and showed the pictures of Stella acting close and intimate with another older man.
She had her arms wrapped around him with a bright smile plastered across her face. In another picture, they were sharing a kiss in the park as the man’s arm snaked around her waist. There were endless photos that I was scrolling through for all to see, leaving everyone dumbfounded and utterly shocked.
Stella was staring at me in shock before she tried to pounce on me but the guards pulled her back before she could even reach me. "Those pictures aren’t real! She faked them!" She screamed,as she struggled and flailed her arms and legs around. But of course, nobody would believe her, not even Blake would buy that sorry excuse of hers this time. "Blake, you have to trust me, I wouldn’t do this to you..." Her voice softened this time as she pleaded for him to believe her.
He clenched his jaw tightly as his features hardened.
"How can I trust you when the evidence is right in front of my eyes?" He asked, his voice tinged with sadness and betrayal but mostly anger from his pride and ego being destroyed by a woman he devoted his time and love to.
I walked over towards her and stopped right before her, forcing her to look into my eyes as the smirk continued to play on my lips.
"Back then when I was married to Blake, you were always throwing yourself on him... Now you also want to cheat on him and seduce another woman’s husband too? How greedy are you? No wait, actually, how insecure are you that you are thriving off the validation of married men? Are you that desperate?" I laughed and watched as her dark eyes flashed with anger while she tried to break out of the guards’ tight grip.
"You –!"
I arched an eyebrow at her. "What am I wrong?" I retorted then snapped my head around to look at Blake. "And you..." I said, my voice trailing off as a slight smile graced my lips.
"This is your karma for constantly choosing her over me while we were still married," I snarled. "How does it feel like to be the one getting cheated on?" I taunted as a smirk tugged at the corners of my lips while Xavier was watching with a proud smile on his face.
"So this is all your doing?"
"I didn’t do anything at all, Blake," I began. "I just showed you the truth. You ought to be careful, you know? You are not the only married man she wants or would try to get. Who knows how many more men she would end up canoodling with?" I mocked, my words were laced with malice as I spoke and he could only look at me as he struggled to find the words to say.
"Aurelia, you better watch your mouth!" Stella screamed, her shrill voice reached my ears. "Stop spreading your lies!" She demanded through gritted teeth.
I looked into her eyes as a smile rested on my lips. "No matter how much you try to plead and beg him, it’s not going to work this time, you cannot fix this, you cannot salvage this even if you tried. It’s game over for you, Stella. Give up," I taunted.
Anger flashed past her eyes as she glared at me. But before she could utter another word, I turned to look at the guards with a serious expression on my face.
"Throw her out." Then I turned to gesture at Blake with a cold look swimming in my dark brown eyes. "Him too."
I watched with satisfaction as they struggled and protested endlessly as the guards dragged them out of the office lobby and threw them out.
Just as I turned around to leave with Xavier, a screeching sound echoed in the place. There was a brief moment of silence before all I heard was...
Bang!
