Realizing Damien Sterling had no reaction to her, Emma Hart felt her heart tighten. A shiver ran down her spine—if Damien Sterling wouldn’t help her, how would she handle this situation?

Ignoring the man who had been following her, Emma Hart walked towards Damien Sterling and sat beside him. The man sat down next to Emma Hart as well. She tugged on Damien Sterling’s shirt, but he remained indifferent, leisurely sipping his coffee as if Emma Hart were a stranger.

Emma Hart turned her head away, refusing to look at him or respond. She was crying silently. No matter what, he shouldn’t have left her alone earlier. Emma Hart felt a deep sense of grievance.

"Hey, why are you ignoring me? Say something," Damien Sterling said, frowning. Was she genuinely angry with him?

The old man saw her tear-streaked face and the unpleasant expression on the man’s face. He understood that perhaps this young couple had a quarrel and the girl needed some time to cool off. He agreed.

"Alright, but I can only switch for part of the flight," the old man said as he stood up.

The old lady was pleased, hoping the young girl might share her story once she felt better. But after finishing the candy, Emma Hart just laid her head on the table and fell asleep.

The old lady looked at her husband and Damien Sterling, shaking her head to indicate there was nothing more she could do.

When it was time for the in-flight meal, the noise woke Emma Hart. She told the flight attendant that she wasn’t hungry and asked her to take the food away.

Damien Sterling watched Emma Hart with concern. She had missed breakfast because of the man harassing her and now was skipping lunch. He worried she might hurt her stomach by not eating. Why couldn’t she take better care of herself?

Damien Sterling signaled to the flight attendant nearby.

"Hello, sir. How can I help you?" the flight attendant asked with a sweet smile, approaching Damien Sterling.

"Could I have a glass of milk, please?" Damien Sterling requested, pointing towards Emma Hart.

The flight attendant glanced at Emma Hart, who was still lying on the table, and understood immediately.

"Of course, please wait a moment," she nodded and walked to the galley.

Soon, the flight attendant returned with a warm glass of milk and approached Emma Hart.
