Thinking of this, Emma Hart drew in a sharp breath.

Once this issue was dealt with, she would have no more ties to that man.

Biting her lip, her frail silhouette disappeared down the hospital corridor.

Around the corner, a pair of eyes gleamed in the shadows, quickly snapping several photos before vanishing into the darkness.

"Is she going to abort the child?"

Damien Sterling gripped his expensive phone so tightly it seemed it might shatter any moment.

This woman was truly courting disaster!

Never before had he encountered such an ungrateful woman.

Women lined up for the chance to marry into the Sterling family, each trying to win his favor, yet this stubborn girl dared to say no.

The office was suddenly filled with a palpable hostility, centered around Damien.

His brows furrowed slightly, his captivating eyes resembling those of a dangerous yet alluring hunter.

The bodyguards, watching from a distance, shrank back at the sight of Damien’s dark mood, whispering among themselves about who had angered the young Sterling.

"Bring her back, immediately!"

If this foolish woman thought to ruin his plans, it was something the infallible Damien Sterling would never allow. Impossible.

At that critical moment, a new assistant accidentally spilled coffee on his expensive suit. The young woman trembled, lips quivering, too scared to speak.

Damien, far from angry, gave a cold chuckle. "Take this Dior suit to be dry-cleaned. And don’t bother coming to work tomorrow."

The girl held back her sobs, knowing that pleading with him might only worsen her situation. Silently, she took the suit and bowed out.

The shareholders exchanged worried glances, realizing that this young Sterling might be even more formidable than his fearsome grandfather.

Damien left the company meeting abruptly, slamming the door behind him, leaving the shareholders in bewildered silence, none daring to object.

His black Bugatti sped through the spacious streets like a hunting panther, heading straight for Emma’s hospital.

"Next, Emma Hart!" called the emotionless voice of the surgeon to those waiting outside the operating room.

Emma managed a bitter smile, perhaps the doctor was too accustomed to life and death. To her, this child was merely an object.

Her emotions were complex, but she took a deep breath and stood up, heading to the operating room. Ending this would put her life back on track.

A loud shout startled her, and even Damien Sterling was surprised at his own intense reaction. Didn’t this woman understand the harm an abortion could cause her body?

A flicker of concern crossed his heart. "Get her in the car."

"I’m not going anywhere, Damien Sterling! Don’t delude yourself into thinking I’ll have this child, let alone marry you!"

Emma Hart struggled fiercely again, but the bodyguards, now used to her antics, easily avoided her flailing and scooped her up like a kitten into the limousine.

Soon, the car stopped in front of an elegant villa, nestled in greenery on the outskirts of the bustling city.

It was close enough to the city center yet offered a peaceful environment, perfect for recuperation.
