Otherworld Advance Team -
Chapter 819 - 812: Withdrawal from the Urban Area
Chapter 819: Chapter 812: Withdrawal from the Urban Area
Fulajie’er’s current form was born from the Deity Creation Project of the Ancient States. She belongs to the category of an incomplete "god," also known as a demigod or false god. The reason gods are considered as such is because they are much more powerful than ordinary people.
Now, the only thing that could bind Fulajie’er was the crystal in which her soul resided. If she had been able to evolve into a complete god, then she would have achieved true immortality.
The extent of a god’s power need not be elaborated here. Gods can freely manipulate the magical atmosphere of the Otherworld for their own use and they do not die or age, thus being almost eternal.
Imagine if the Advance Team had failed to stop the mage from the Ancient States, who had tried to become a true god, the Otherworld would never know peace, and an evil god would have ruled all. Even the science of Earth would be powerless against him.
Fortunately, the Advance Team ultimately thwarted that experiment and succeeded in eliminating the so-called god in its early stages. If Tangmo had not been vigilant, the headquarters and even all the efforts of Earth in the Otherworld might have been ruined.
In this regard, Tangmo was quite farsighted, at least in the realm of magic, she always had a longer view than everyone else.
"Luo’er, did I scare you?" Noticing Luo’er’s contemplative expression, Fulajie’er couldn’t help but ask.
"No, I’m just thinking about what route we should take next," Luo’er shook his head and then smiled.
"Luo’er, let’s leave this place, there are battles here every day. Let’s go back to the academy and join up with the bad woman and the others," said Fulajie’er.
"Yes, I had the same thought. Holy Heart City is indeed no longer bearable," Luo’er paused, then continued, "But we won’t return to the academy. Instead, we’ll find a way to leave the city directly and avoid the ears of Booze Ghost Gang and the intelligence agency."
"Why not return? Isn’t the Magic Academy the safest place?" asked Fulajie’er puzzledly.
"The Magic Academy is not safe. The people there are too complicated. There was even a hostage incident a few years ago," Luo’er shook his head and said, "Moreover, if we go back to the academy now, the intelligence agency is likely to realize that this matter is related to the Church Court, and they may drag the Church Court down, which is not what we want to see."
"So how are we going to get out of the city?" Fulajie’er asked.
"Either we let Azita help us get out, or we have no choice but to ask Car to take us out," Luo’er replied.
"Car... Oh, the bald commander!" Fulajie’er thought for a moment, then suddenly realized and said.
"He’s not bald commander now. The cleansing army has already taken shape. But more importantly, they are now one of the few allies we can rely on," said Luo’er with a wry smile.
After a pause, Luo’er turned to Hu Daoke and said seriously, "Little Ke, go notify Azita, please make sure he comes to us, I’m going next door to explain the situation to Eve."
"Got it!" Hu Daoke nodded and turned to leave the room.
"Fula, patrol around the inn. The enemy might have already infiltrated this area. You need to be vigilant," Luo’er continued to command.
"Sure, leave it to me!" said Fulajie’er obediently, and then she instantly vanished without a trace.
"Feng, let’s go over," Luo’er said to Feng.
"Yes!" Feng nodded and then followed closely behind Luo’er.
The two left the room and came to the corridor. Luo’er gently knocked on the door, and soon rapid footsteps came from inside, followed by the door opening to reveal Eve with a surprised look on her face.
"Are you alright?" Eve asked worriedly.
"Don’t worry, nothing happened," Luo’er said, glancing at Eve before walking straight in.
After this incident, Eve’s suspicion had been basically cleared, although it was not completely certain that she was without issue, but at least based on her performance, the events they had experienced these past few days seemed unrelated to her.
Luo’er entered the room, where Jora was sitting on the bed, looking at him with his sky-blue pupils filled with horror.
It must be said that the mixed-blood appearance of the Elf Race indeed greatly appeases the taste of those who grew up on Earth. The clear eyes of Jora were filled with worry and fear, which inevitably made Luo’er feel a sense of pity and involuntarily gave rise to the urge to protect him, even making it hard for Luo’er to clench his teeth with any conviction.
Thinking of this palpitation, Luo’er could probably understand why Tangmo was so persistent with him. Not to mention his own temper, just his appearance alone was very much to her liking.
Redirecting his gaze, Luo’er cleared his throat slightly and then turned to Eve saying, "Pack up, we might need to move soon."
"Weren’t you saying we have something to do tomorrow?" Eve asked in surprise.
"Changed my mind, the situation is a bit serious now," Luo’er shrugged nonchalantly.
"Move, where will we go?" Eve inquired curiously.
"Out of the city," Luo’er said, pausing briefly in the face of Eve’s surprised gaze before continuing, "The conflict between the Booze Ghost Gang and the Hound Gang is getting more intense. I’m concerned they might infiltrate this area and then come looking for trouble with you. I promised to protect you, and it seems that leaving the city is our only way out now."
"Thank you," Eve said softly, her sincerity evident, "as long as you can get us out of the city, I’ll give you anything you want, including my life."
"Sister!" Jora looked at her emotionally.
"Enough," Eve raised her hand to stop him from speaking further, then sighed and said, "I’ve always been useless, causing you to suffer a lot following me. It would be better for you to return to your mother’s side, stop suffering with me."
"No, sister, I don’t want to go back, I want to stay with you forever," Jora said excitedly, almost crying.
"Enough with the sentimentality," Luo’er interrupted their conversation, then looked at Eve and said, "I don’t want your life, I just need you to fulfill the promise you made earlier."
"Rest assured, I will help you find the Ancient Scripture!" Eve nodded gratefully, her expression firm.
"Big words can wait, pack up. If possible, we’ll leave the city tonight!" After saying this, Luo’er left the room without waiting for Eve to respond, taking Feng with him.
Hu Daoke informed the Hound Gang members downstairs, and everyone waited for Azita’s arrival. Clearly, Azita was busy with a counteroffensive and couldn’t leave just yet. They waited until evening before Azita finally arrived.
"Mr. Azta, you sure make a grand entrance," Luo’er couldn’t help but tease upon seeing Azita.
"Sorry, sorry, the battle is urgent, and I’ve been too busy to get away," Azita apologized.
"Enough chitchat, Mr. Azta," Luo’er said seriously, "We need to leave the city avoiding the army of Holy Heart City and the Booze Ghost Gang. Do you have any good ideas?" Luo’er asked.
"Why the sudden rush?" Azita couldn’t help but ask curiously.
"These two are very important to our organization. We need to send them off early and hand them over to our group," Luo’er indicated Eve and Jora.
"Leaving the city now might be..." Azita said hesitantly.
"Just answer me, can you do it or not?" Luo’er asked impatiently.
"I can, but..." Azita was still hesitating.
"Just get us out, I don’t want to hear excuses," Luo’er said, frowning.
The reason Luo’er was so assertive was that he had recently encountered Carter. Now that the Purification Legion had also arrived in Holy Heart City, Luo’er could fully entrust this task to Carter, who had once been their comrade in arms.
"Well, I’ll make some arrangements for you..." Azita hesitated and then said sheepishly.
"Mr. Azta, you wouldn’t think that by keeping us under your watch, you could use us to continuously obtain support from our organization, would you?" Luo’er looked at Azita and asked bluntly.
