Tangmo didn’t speak, but instead looked at him with an ambiguous gaze. Her still immature face looked quite cute, but compared to her current disposition, Luoer would rather believe her present appearance was just a guise.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Luoer couldn’t help asking, feeling a bit uncomfortable under her unwavering stare.

"You brought her back, you must know what my reaction would be, right?" Tangmo casually asked, staring at him with a smile.

"I think you wouldn’t be that petty. If you really think I’m fickle, then you don’t trust me enough." Luoer replied while looking at her.

Tangmo looked at him with a suppressed smile, eventually breaking out in a full grin. She then said cheerfully, "Even though I know you’re not fickle. I’d still be angry. It’s my way of expressing my feelings."

"When have I ever taken you lightly?" It was Luoer’s turn to be left speechless.

"You actually went out because you couldn’t stand me nagging, right?" Tangmo asked.

"Uh, I wouldn’t say that ..." Luoer scratched his head nervously, being caught by surprise.

"Come on, as soon as I noticed you two were not present, I knew what was going on. Luoer, I’m closer to you than your own shadow. You can’t hide anything from me." Tangmo said confidently.

Once again, she tried to cling onto him, leaving Luoer with no choice but to push her away. He said reluctantly, "Love accumulates from ordinary interactions. If you keep behaving like this, the only thing you’ll achieve is lust."

"What’s wrong with that? Don’t tell me you’re pursuing platonic love!" Tangmo commented, stubbornly trying to hold onto him again.

"Alright, stop fooling around. We’re still on a mission. Get serious." Luoer pushed her away again.

"You’re always so serious. When are we going to tie the knot?" Tangmo mumbled in dissatisfaction.

"What are you thinking? Don’t forget, you’re not of age yet." Luoer replied awkwardly.

"I’m already twenty-two, no, twenty-three!" Tangmo shot back with defensiveness.

"But you’re of mixed dwarf lineage," Luoer reminded.

"So what? The national law recognizes eighteen as the age of adulthood and twenty for marriage. I follow the national guidelines." Tangmo stated confidently.

"Don’t push it too far or I might actually get upset." Luoer sighed and warned her with a stern look.

"What happens when you’re upset?" Unexpectedly, Tangmo showed curiosity instead of anger.

"I, I, I’ll ignore you ..." Luoer stammered a few times, his momentum greatly diminished, and ended up sounding rather unconvincing.

Seeing his reaction, Tangmo couldn’t help but burst into laughter. Closing her eyes in amusement, she said, "Alright, I’ll stop annoying you. But I’d advise against bringing that girl to the academy."

"Why, do you think I’m having an affair with her?" Luoer questioned.

"I wish you’d wise up," Tangmo rolled her eyes before continuing, "Our only friend in the academy was Dean Shariya, but he has left Holy Heart City for the Church Court’s Holy City now. We’re pretty much on our own. We should avoid trouble as much as possible."

"Do you think bringing Eve to the Academy is inviting trouble?" Luoer asked while furrowing his brows.

"If you bring her back, not to mention whether the acting Dean of the Magic Academy will agree, even if he does, remember that there have been cases of kidnapping at the academy. It’s been proven that worldly power can easily penetrate the academy. If the intelligence agency finds out that Eve is with us, I fear they might resort to extreme measures. We’d be at a loss then." Tangmo calmly expressed her concern.

"But they’re in danger in the eastern district too." Luoer argued.

"As long as they stay in the hotel and don’t expose themselves, the intelligence agency will have a hard time finding them. Even if they do, unless they mobilize an armored division, they can’t do anything to Feng who you’ve left there to guard." Tangmo shrugged and replied.

Including Feng in the advance team was the wisest decision Luoer made, because her addition directly changed the team’s combat approach.

"Isn’t that obvious," Tangmo looked at him and said, "How can my man take care of other women!"

"Here we go again." Luoer said, shaking his head with a bitter smile.

"Luoer, if because of the mission requirements now, Baiyue and I need to take care of a very handsome man, what would you feel?" Tangmo asked confidently.

"It’s fine! It’s the mission’s requirement after all!" Luoer answered, blinking.

"You..." Tangmo didn’t expect Luoer to respond so quickly, and almost exploded from his words.

"Alright, it was a joke. I know what needs to be done now, there’s no need to be jealous." Seeing Tangmo’s changing expression, Luoer hurriedly comforted.

"You still don’t trust me." Luoer said with a bitter smile.

"I just get jealous. Once I finished studying this blasted magic, I’ll come and find you." Tangmo chided, puckering her lips.

"Don’t say that, your sister loves to study magic." Luoer responded.

"Hmph, if she put half the passion she has for magic into pursuing you, she would’ve succeeded a long time ago. Right now, she’s still waiting for me to set it up for her." Tangmo mumbled under her breath.
