Otherworld Advance Team
Chapter 727 - 720

Chapter 727: 720

Clearly, Feng’s magic formulas are strikingly different from the norm, even from the entirety of the Otherworld Continent, leading to the possibility that Feng might belong to another magic-infused world, or perhaps a different continent within the Magic World.

The training protocol left behind by the prophet seemed to confirm this as that particular text had not been found anywhere in the Otherworld Continent.

"So, you’re suggesting that Feng’s magic formulas are decisively different from those belonging to the inhabitants of this continent, and hence she might be from a new continent within this world?" Zhuyan Yu speculated and proposed this audacious hypothesis.

At her conjecture, Tangmo had a sudden realization and turned to Baiyue, asking, "Yue’er, do you remember how the prophet described Feng’s origins?"

"As far as I can recall," Baiyue mulled for a bit and then lifted her head to speak, "when the prophet found Feng, she was but an infant, sleeping in a basket with an indecipherable manuscript placed by her side. A maple leaf had fallen into her basket, prompting the prophet to name her Feng..."

"Apparently, Feng doesn’t belong to this continent as she neither resembles the Aud people nor the Bobulu or Blaiqi people," Tangmo deduced.

"What about the Ancient States?" Zhuyan Yu queried.

"People from the Ancient States don’t look like that," the Nightingale coldly stated, standing to the side. "Feng’s appearance is unlike any Human Race and Sub-beastman. It’s obvious she doesn’t hail from this continent. Rather, she bears a strong resemblance to you lot."

"However, that raises a question - how did a race that is different from everyone come to be in Otland?" Tangmo queried, furrowing his brow.

"Teleportation!" Zhuyan Yu suddenly interjected.

"Huh?" Everyone was startled, their attention now diverted towards her.

"Since I’m currently Otherworldly, I think Feng must’ve reached Otland through teleportation," Zhuyan Yu contemplated, her hand before her eyes, as a hint of sorrow flashed in them.

"But that too poses an issue," Nightingale asserted.

"What issue?" Tangmo asked, looking at her.

"Once Zhuyan Yu, as an earthling, was teleported to this world, her body had to be restructured to a format suitable for this world, including the development of a magic circulatory system. If Feng too appeared in Otland through teleportation, then why isn’t her body structure similar to others?" Nightingale raised her doubts.

Subsequent to her question, everyone was dumbstruck, unsure of their response.

"Given that the teleportee from another world needs to adapt to the environment of this world, why is the circulatory structure of Feng’s body utterly unlike the major populated race?" Nightingale questioned.

Prior investigations confirmed the fact that Feng’s circulatory layout is starkly different from others.

Firstly, the Dantian used for storing magical energy is absent in almost all Otherworld denizens. Secondly, unlike traditional Otherworld individuals, Feng’s circulations aren’t a distributed structure but comprise a select few primary pathways, thereby forsaking a distributed format.

"About this issue, I do have a point of view," Nightingale said, looking around.

"Please, do tell!" Baiyue asked respectfully.

"Zhuyan Yu was transformed into an Otherworld being solely because of the teleporting process as there are no pathways in the body of an Earth native to circulate magic. So the body needs restructuring to become viable," Nightingale wisely stated. "So, considering that Feng’s body structure remained unchanged after teleportation, there can only be one explanation. That she arrived here via intra-world teleportation which negates the need for adaptation."

"Intra-world teleportation?" Tangmo doubted this new term.

"Yes," Nightingale nodded and explained further, "This might puzzle you, but before the Church of Light had grown influential, teleportation magic was considered the most convenient mode of transportation. This same-world transportation is what occurs when someone from the Ancient States is teleported to Otland."

"Intra-world teleportation negates the need for body structure adjustments since the restructuring occurs under the logical framework of the Magic World. So, I could hazard to surmise that Feng most likely reached Otland through intra-world transportation. As for her point of origin, I reckon it’s most likely a new continent," Nightingale continued.

"Having said that, it seems the Otherworld humans haven’t reached their Age of Discovery, have they?" Hu Daoke, who happened to be on the sidelines, couldn’t resist asking Cheng Ziang.

"Are you nuts? There are Leviathans in the deep sea. Who would dare to sail through there without a death wish!" Cheng Ziang rolled his eyes as he spoke.

The existence of Leviathans hindered the Otherworld people’s sea explorations, confining them to this enclosed continent. If Feng’s conjecture was valid, then there should be more continents and countries on the opposite side of this continent.

This was undoubtedly good news that revitalised everyone. New continents, new countries, meant new forces, new interests.

The perspective of Earth people could not possibly stay confined to this continent forever. After distributing their interests, larger benefits would prompt them to explore new continents for new interests.

If Feng’s hypothesis is confirmed, it will shatter the theory that magic in the Otherworld is singular. Meaning, as long as the laws and principles of the Magic World are adhered to, there can be various ways to use magic, not just limited to one. This is undoubtedly a fatal temptation for those like Zhuyan Yu who love to study magic.

"So, does that mean Feng comes from another continent in the Otherworld?" Tangmo asked, his face full of shock.

"Exactly, and not only that." Saying this, Nightingale turned to look at Baiyue.

Baiyue was a bit at a loss under her intense gaze as she tried to dodge it, but Nightingale swiftly reached out and pulled off her hood.

"Sub-beastmen," Nightingale, gently stroking her fluffy rabbit ears, squinted and said, "If this theory holds water, then sub-beastmen are very likely residents from another continent."

"Really?" On hearing her words, Tangmo’s expression was once again that of shock.

"That’s right," Nightingale nodded, and then said, "I once studied the related reports of the United Nations Different World Investigation Team and some Otherworld scriptures. None of them could trace the origin of sub-beastmen, suggesting they might be from elsewhere, a race not belonging to this continent."

"Is, is that true?" Hearing her words, Baiyue looked at her with wide eyes, forgetting to put her hood back on.

"It appears we need to look into these issues. If we can find evidence to prove the existence of the New Continent, it will be a significant geographical discovery for both Earth and the Otherworld." Zhuyan Yu, who had regained her composure, mused.

"So are you going to continue with the experiments?" Hu Daoke, who was standing by, couldn’t help asking.

"No, let’s call it a day," Zhuyan Yu said dismissively. "The information from today is too much to digest at once."

"But... I just found something fun..." Hu Daoke waved his hand and countered.

Tangmo took a deep breath, stepped forward, and suddenly began to mumble: "I want to go back and get some rest. You take the shift."

With that, she staggered forward. When she raised her head again, everyone noticed a complete change in her demeanor.

"What’s so great about research on this topic? Boring!", Tangmo sneered, pulled out a hairpin from her pocket, and attached it to her hair.

"Hold on!" Noticing that Tangmo was about to leave, Cheng Ziang grabbed the back of her collar.

"What now?" Tangmo turned back and asked, frowning.

"You’re planning to go pester Luo’er again." Cheng Ziang saw the hairpin on her forehead and instantly figured it all out.

"None of your business!" Tangmo gave him an up-down glance. Admittedly, this Momo was not as courteous to others.

"Luo’er asked you to take care of Feng, yet you dumped everything on Yue’er and pretended to be ignorant. Did your sister ask you to do this?" Cheng Ziang asked without restraint.

"I didn’t take care of you, so why the fuss?" Tangmo rolled her eyes again.

"Get to work, don’t be a slacker all day. You look ridiculous!" Cheng Ziang, once again grabbing the fleeing Tangmo by the collar, spoke with a look of disdain.
