The mortars, naturally, were not as powerful as the large cannons. "What are you doing, check your weapon and prepare for battle!" Luo Chuan urged.

"Oh, right!" Hearing his words, Lin Wei snapped back to reality, frantically checking his weapon even though his body trembles wouldn’t stop.

"Excitement or fear?" Looking at him, Luo Chuan asked with a smile.

"What?" Lin Wei turned his head to look at him.

"Why are you trembling?" Luo Chuan asked.

"N-nothing." Lin Wei licked his lips, then set up his rifle and aimed at the enemy in the distance.

The massive cannons were still firing relentlessly, but they focused only on bombarding the enemy’s attack path out of their blind spot, aiming to disrupt the follow-up forces of the Otherworld Allied Army from converging with cavalry, then using artillery in coordination with the defensive forces to wipe out all the incoming cavalry.

"Five hundred meters, suppress fire!" The captain cried out loud. Following his command, machine-gunners in various fire positions opened fire almost simultaneously.

In just under ten minutes, the Otherworld Allied Army had finished regrouping, and their heavy cavalry vanguard was getting closer and closer to the positions. Luo Chuan noticed that many of these knights were holding bows and arrows, evidently planning to launch a rain of arrows at the positions, aiming to injure the soldiers, upon reaching within a hundred meters.

As the bullets hit the front row of the heavy cavalry, they all fell off their horses, and the whole formation was thrown into chaos.

But just after a moment of confusion, a shocking scene unfolded. The knights who were swept by the machine gun struggled back on their feet and then back onto their horses, continuously mounting their attack.

He picked up the binoculars and took a look. Although the artillery was still whistling, a large number of the cavalry had charged into the blind spot and were now launching a charge at the position. He could only pin his hopes on the defense troops now. If they could not stop these heavy cavalry, then he would have to order a retreat.
