After a night’s rest back at their base, Wang Xu arranged for a carriage to take the Advance Team to the manor where they had trained their Orion Squad. "This base is full of grown men, no one can look after a little girl here," Wang Xu said awkwardly, "So, I had her sent to the manor where you guys are headed. There are maids there who can take care of her."

The squad leader ran into the trench and shouted, "All guard units, get to your positions, prepare for combat!"

"Just my luck, it had to happen now." Luo Chuan muttered, checking his 03 rifle before taking position in the trench.

"What did you say?" A young soldier next to him asked.

"We’re about to go to war, Lin Wei, don’t wet your pants." Luo Chuan teased.

"Take care of yourself!" The young soldier named Lin Wei retorted angrily.

Luo Chuan lay in the trench, put his rifle to one side, and used his hands like binoculars to look out over the plain. This infinite plain, if attacked from this direction, would undoubtedly be riddled with the powerful firepower of Earth’s military.
