Chapter 90: Chapter 82 The Gods who Created Races
The gods witnessed the rise of the new kingdom of Logos people.
"Kagawus, what will become of this kingdom in the future?"
Water God Angel asked Prophetic God Kagawus.
"In the long run, so long that countless kingdoms will rise and fall, this kingdom will persist amid these mountains."
Kagawus made the prophecy,
"Soon, this kingdom will be called Nus Kingdom, to distinguish it from the Logos Kingdom."
Water God Angel gazed upon the busy Logos people on the ground.
She did not hold as persistent an interest in these Logos people as the original three gods did.
Contrary to those earliest three deities, Water God Angel preferred to see on the earth a resplendent and countless number of rational beings.
In Her eyes, the rational Logos people were no different from the somewhat foolish Unihorn whales.
Even, Angel was more interested in the latter than the former.
"Oh gods,"
"Create rational beings."
Angel said to the rest of the gods,
"Why should we, as deities, struggle with these Logos people who refuse to submit?"
The words of Water God Angel fell into the ears of the gods, some hesitant, some indignant, and some hidden with joy; the emotions of the gods varied.
At this moment, Curse God Yikabe, who was usually silent, unusually spoke up.
"I have observed it all, I can see,"
"The words of the gods, the people of the earth cannot follow."
"But we, we must comply with our Father’s will."
Yikabe’s voice contained a faint power of curse, and if He wished, it was enough to influence the gods.
So among the gods, Yikabe’s voice clearly carried more weight than the voice of the Water God, and His words also prompted deep thought among the gods.
The appearance of a remnant shadow of Chen Yi still gave the present gods a lingering fear.
Even Divine King Shan’en, the most obstinate, grew timorous and had long abandoned any thoughts of forcing the Logos people to convert.
After reflection,
The gods one by one realized that continuing to entangle with this group of inconceivably foolish Logos people would only lead them into nothingness.
For all rational beings, nothingness is the ultimate negation, the greatest punishment.
"We accept your opinions, Yikabe, Angel."
The other three gods spoke thus.
Thereafter, Dragon God Endora continued to speak:
"However, these people of the earth have been so defiant of the gods, there must be a punishment."
"Just as a King must punish his insubordinate subjects."
"Otherwise, where is our dignity as gods? How can our temples stand upon the earth?"
Thus, Dragon God Endora attempted to command Curse God Yikabe, with the latter’s Divine Power, to curse the Logos people of the earth.
In the names of the gods,
Let the invisible wind of curse sweep over both kingdoms.
Only thus could the dignity of the gods in the world be established.
Yikabe shook His head; He rejected the suggestion of Dragon God Endora.
"After all that has happened, do you still not understand?"
"Our Father is not pleased with our previous actions."
"Are we going to defy our Father’s will again?"
It was not Curse God Yikabe who spoke, but Water God Angel, whose strong stance compelled Dragon God Endora to make concessions.
Seeing this, Dragon God Endora then spoke:
"Even so, how can the dignity of the gods be so easily offended?
Lords, I beseech you,
No matter what splendor we establish on Earth or what temples we erect, do not let these Logos people have even the slightest share."
Dragon God Endora’s proposal this time satisfied all the gods.
Thereafter, the gods no longer persecuted the Logos people.
However, for the sake of the gods’ majesty,
if the gods created their own splendor on Earth, they absolutely forbid these Logos people to partake in that splendor.
The gods swore to each other, promising never to break this oath.
As for how to create the gods’ splendor...
Prophetic God Kagawus put forth his own vision:
"The Logos people on Earth do not worship us,
with our souls, we shall create rational beings that do worship us."
Because of Kagawus’s suggestion,
the gods began to imitate the Logos people,
choosing or creating rational races on Earth loyal to the gods.
Prophetic God Kagawus, admiring the wisdom of the Logos people, chose monkeys living in the desert sands and created the Three-eyed Ape People.
Curse God Yikabe, admiring the Logos people’s sacrificial practices, chose the purple-spirit moose in the endless Secret Forest and created the druid with a deer’s head and a human’s body.
Water God Angel, admiring the poetry of the Logos people, chose the ancestral Sea Demon on the islands and created the Sea Demon with a captivating song.
Dragon God Endora, admiring the bravery of the Logos people, chose the fierce beasts of the vast grasslands and created the valiant and combative Beastman.
As for Divine King Shan En, harboring resentment toward the Logos people, He decided to harness the power of the gods in the Celestial Kingdom to create a race that looked exactly like the Logos people, yet was short-lived and skilled in submission.
Three-eyed Ape People, Druids, Sea Demons, Beastmen...
The four races created by the gods appeared on Earth, and during this process, the gods parted with a portion of their own souls and divine power to infect and assimilate the souls of those beings, thus endowing them with reason and faith.
These beings thus gained intelligence, and so the gods bestowed upon them the language of the Logos people.
Under the grandiose divine power of the gods, these four created races dominated territories within a mere hundred years.
The gods of the Celestial Kingdom, modeling after the Logos civilization, again provided guidance, allowing these beings to establish their own culture in their territories, laying the early foundations of civilization.
In this process, some races progressed swiftly while others struggled.
The Three-eyed Ape People, created by Prophetic God Kagawus, had bodies similar to the Logos people, only they were much less long-lived.
The prophetic power of Kagawus allowed the Three-eyed Ape People to leap over civilizations, and they quickly understood the Logos Text taught by the Prophetic God and created their own poetry.
Although this could not compare with the long-lived and rational Logos people, this achievement was still a source of pride for the Three-eyed Ape People.
Compared to the Prophetic God, Curse God Yikabe paid little attention to the Druids; He roughly imparted to the Druids the concept of sacrifice of the Logos people, which they copied and erected their own Pattern Garden.
These Druids, with deer’s heads and human bodies, not as robust as the Logos people, formerly moose without hunting experience, constantly struggled and often suffered from hunger and cold over these hundred years, hence their fervor for sacrifice and their increasingly fanatical faith in Yikabe grew.
Water God Angel delighted in the songs of the Sea Demons, as well as the somewhat foolish Unihorns.
Therefore, She often encouraged Her race to attract and intermingle with stray Unihorns, encouraging crossbreeding between the two species, even though the Unihorns were always forced to teach the Sea Demons the Song of the Whale and coerced into leaving their offspring in a gentle trap.
As for the Beastmen active on the vast grasslands, Dragon God Endora adhered to His admiration for the powerful.
His soul left the Beastmen with a brave and contentious nature; the Beastmen, like a pack of wolves, had a clear hierarchy among themselves. Only the strongest could be the king of the Beastmen, only qualified to worship Dragon God Endora and received blessings from Him to grow dragon scales.
And so...
Having given up on converting the Logos people, the gods of the Celestial Kingdom created on Earth races that worshiped them, thereby laying a solid foundation for the temples of worship on Earth.
Divine King Shan En watched the actions of the other divine beings.
As King of Gods, He desired to create a race far superior to those of the other gods.
Just as Shan En had envisioned before, this race would have an appearance similar to the Logos people, and their nature would be exactly the same, but He would make this race incredibly short-lived to make them see their own insignificance and the grandeur of the gods, to make them skilled at submission, to deter them from defying the gods like the Logos people.
It was not until after more divine beings in the Celestial Kingdom had awakened that Divine King Shan En prepared to create this new race.
Before that,
Divine King Shan En looked deep into the Celestial Kingdom.
A massive, deep red Historical Star stood in the distance.
Divine King Shan En decided to see, like His father before Him, what the future of the gods would truly look like.
