Chapter 46: Chapter 42 Facing Ancient Chaos_2

"As God said, it was indeed an arduous trek,"

the Prophet murmured in his heart, silently praying that the wooden boat might encounter a sign of life.

He prayed for God, in the oblivion, to assign a father and son an island where berries were as plentiful as gravel and fertile mud through which springs flowed.

Just as...

That time, he and God had agreed upon in the shadows.

The night slowly fell.

Al and Yarlessto, exhausted, closed their eyes; the father and son slept soundly on the wooden boat.

The starry sky reflected on the water’s surface while waves gently rolled, pushing the wooden boat at an unhurried pace, as if afraid to disturb the father and son’s slumber.

There was a breeze over the sea, so mild, as if obeying someone’s command, with the wooden boat positioned in the direction of the tailwind.

Ancient Chaos still swept over the ocean and, looking far away, its presence seemed even more imposing, but it could not perturb this sea area, nor could it disturb the rest on the wooden boat.

The night faded away during this rest.

Dawn of the next day arrived.

Al slowly opened his eyes; the feeling of helplessness was so real, he felt his body somewhat unresponsive, a sign of extreme hunger and thirst.

The wooden boat had come to a stop; the water stirred around, the vessel had bumped into something.

Al climbed up from the boat in confusion, and then stood there, stunned.

An island.

An island full of lush green trees.

It had appeared miraculously upon the waters, and just as miraculously, it met the famished father and son.

Overwhelmed with excitement, Al did not wake his sleeping son but carefully stepped onto the island, slowly making his way into the woods.

Drip.

The moment his feet entered the forest, a berry fell onto his head.

Startled, Al immediately realized what it was and rushed excitedly deeper into the island.

The sound of water.

As the Prophet ventured further, Al heard the sound of water.

Then, he saw a gushing stream.

Here, berries were as plentiful as gravel, and springs flowed through the fertile mud.

Not long after,

Yarlessto was awakened by his father, looking incredulously at the island before him.

"Saved..."

He knelt down, overcome with emotion,

"We’re finally saved..."

Yarlessto, crazed with relief, picked berries on the island, sipped the spring water; as his father had said, the berries were abundant and the springs sweet.

Al watched joyfully as his child regained vitality, kneeling at the island’s edge, facing the Ancient Chaos over the sea.

After quenching his thirst and hunger, Yarlessto approached.

"Father, what are you doing?"

"Thanking the deities,"

Al said with folded hands, softly reciting the sacrificial prayer,

"God,

Look at all we have been through,

Can you embrace us?

Embrace our suffering, our despair in this world."

Yarlessto listened to his father’s prayer, lifted his face to the Ancient Chaos—now they were almost within an arm’s reach compared to before.

The Prophet’s eldest turned his head, glanced at the berry forest, then like his father, brought his hands together and joined in the prayer.

On this miraculously lifesaving island, the father and son devoutly prayed to God.

However, their prayer was soon interrupted.

Over the sea, suddenly a fierce wind arose.

Yarlessto raised his head, showing a shocked expression. The Ancient Chaos began to boil, black mist churning nonstop, then a vast expanse of pale radiance spilled forth, filled with irresistible power.

Al saw this scene too and realized something, murmuring in horror:

"The apocalypse... the apocalypse that God spoke of..."

"It’s coming!"

Chen Yi stepped into the heart of the Ancient Chaos.

The stars of the Celestial Kingdom shone with a dazzling brilliance, and under the impetus of the Primordial Will, they erupted with astounding power. Their radiance cascaded outward like waves capable of annihilating heaven and earth.

Pale power surged out from the Celestial Kingdom, and the primordial thunderstorm had begun. It started with mere filaments of rain, to be followed by savage thunder; under the flash of lightning, pale rain accompanied the storm’s descent.

Chen Yi faced all the stars of the kingdom, as the tumultuous pale power surged outward. He knew that a cataclysmic flood had taken shape, beginning to submerge the land.

God opened his hands.

Light burst forth from him, converging and solidifying in his palms, and at last, it blazed like leaping pure gold flames.

He intended to stop it all.

The Primordial Will seemed to take notice of these flames.

The Celestial Kingdom appeared to contract, as thousands of stars began to draw near at a rapid pace. The star space grew cold and desolate, darkness and Chaos spread from the deepest parts of the kingdom.

The most fundamental force of the Primordial Will, the darkness that once ruled the entire world, swept forth like invisible tidal waves, carrying with it the brilliance of the stars.

Chen Yi watched all this.

The flames in his palm grew bigger and brighter.

This pure gold flame was not just the condensation of power, but also the spirit of God.

In other words, it was the essence of his very existence.

Should the flames extinguish, his existence would be erased.

Darkness and pale power merged, forming a vast and towering grey force that obliterated everything in its path—even the passing stars were ground to dust!

God raised his hand, and from within the brilliant gold flames, a spark flew out, immediately igniting a resplendent sea of fire in the star space. No amount of burning sulfur could compare to such a spectacle.

The mighty grey force of the Primordial Will collided with the flames, and the entirety of the Celestial Kingdom trembled, with stars converging even faster.

After a long time, the grey force and the sea of flames finally parted, leaving behind an area as if every other presence had been erased, empty and extinct.

God gazed at this magnificent scene, aware that things were not so simple.

Therefore, Chen Yi took a step forward and in the blink of an eye, entered deep into the Celestial Kingdom.

The kingdom contracted even more severely, and the stars deviated from their orbits. Chen Yi saw that the Deep Red Star, originally at the center, had vacated its position, as if relinquishing the throne and authority of the entire Celestial Kingdom.

God looked toward the deepest position, sensing a formless, soundless entity—that was the concentrated essence of the world’s Primordial Will.

He stepped into the deepest part, and the entire Celestial Kingdom, including the enveloping Ancient Chaos, boiled in an instant.

The cosmos trembled, the brilliance of countless stars intensified, and vast power converged toward the Primordial Will. Meanwhile, the Deep Red Star shone with unprecedented brilliance, gathering on the Fate Line, leading to the end of all things.

Even the flame in God’s hand trembled slightly.

He raised his face, his gaze fixed on the Primordial Will in the depths.

Before his sight reached it, the collective brilliance of the stars had turned pale, and by the time his gaze arrived, the pale power and the darkness had already merged. The two massive forces intertwining and fusing, the Celestial Kingdom, and the Ancient Chaos, were about to undergo an unprecedented change.

In an instant, the mighty grey power was born, and once it descended upon the world, it would bring about vast destruction and complete annihilation!

The brilliant gold flames continued to burn, and this time, God actively extended his hand. The flame was passed over, and in an instant, the entire Celestial Kingdom was engulfed in roaring flames, spreading at an unimaginable speed.

The mighty grey force collided with the boundless flames, and the Celestial Kingdom was battered by the resulting shockwaves. The star space began to distort, and the stability of the stars themselves was compromised, fractures appeared, and even shattering occurred, heralding a catastrophic disaster.

Chen Yi involuntarily furrowed his brows.

The flames were not just the concentration of his power but also the spirit of God.

As the brilliant gold flames collided with the mighty grey force, an indescribable discomfort surged within his being.

God suddenly felt silence.

A worldly emptiness and extinction began to dominate his spirit.

The brilliant gold flames were gradually being tainted, the grey hue spreading throughout the sea of fire.

He stared straight ahead, but the surrounding scene began to distort and change with the sensation of void and extinction.

The scene lost its colors slowly and then was painted with new ones.

A scroll...

A new vision unfolded before him like a scroll.

Chen Yi couldn’t help but gaze at the vision inside—it was a scene beyond the Ancient Chaos.

Every detail of the world was displayed within this grey-hued canvas created by the mighty grey force.

An endless landscape erupted with innumerable thunderbolts; torrential rain poured down, each drop a pale hue. Hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes... like a plague emerged everywhere trekked, cries of lament filled the land.

The end was taking shape, ready to be born unto the world.

His gaze instinctively fell upon the people of Logos.
