Chapter 76: Guilt and shame
Chapter 76: Guilt and shame
"Those men took off their clothes, Coco!" The fairy exclaimed, a horrified expression on her face.
Coco perked up, snapping out of her angered daze as she looked away from the man beneath her foot and looked at Lala who was flying around the mediators’ hunched figures.
Alhai has his robe barely covering his shoulders with Heiren’s robe torn into pieces by his feet.
Coco narrowed her eyes into a glare that was pointed at the unconscious men, a bitter taste in her tongue at the thought of almost putting the mediators in danger.
All because she told them to guard the large basket.
She gave the man by her feet one last look before she kicked him in the gut, the strength of her kick made him roll to his other side.
"Coco..!" Lala cried out, making Coco look at her.
Coco’s eyes shifted from the man to the fairy and saw that Lala was crying, picking up the tattered pieces of Heiren’s off the ground.
Coco walked over to the mediators without speaking, her eyes trained on how Heiren and Alhai tried to cover themselves, trying to look away from her, as if they were ashamed of what almost happened.
Coco didn’t like that.
She took off her robe, dirty and rough, and quickly covered Heiren’s body the best she could.
The difference in their size isn’t that far from each other so her robe managed to cover his body, albeit tight and fit, making his lean figure apparent.
Heiren gripped the hem of Coco’s robe and tightened it around his body even more, a look of shame crossing his features.
Coco observed the way the mediator’s hands trembled, his fists unnaturally white as his grip tightened on the cloth.
"I’m sorry." Coco murmured, her voice barely above whisper.
Alhai and Heiren grew stiff, their eyes went wide as they took a moment to look at her.
Did they hear her, right?
Their ears aren’t playing tricks on them, right? Their wife, Coco Hughes, known not only for her trash of a personality, but also for her temperament and prideful attitude, had apologized to them and actually looked like she meant it?
They haven’t inhaled the toxic gas usually released by a tough crocodile, right?
"I’m really sorry. I should have known better and shouldn’t have left the two of you alone." Coco frowned, her words hitting Alhai and Heiren straight in their conscience.
The Coco Hughes right in front of them looked like a kicked puppy who had done something unforgivable. Her eyes are glossy and teeth biting the inside of her lower lip— looking like it will bleed if she puts more pressure into it.
She looked guilty.
".. Let me bring you two back home." Coco muttered, glancing on Alhai’s state and frowning even more when she saw how bad the robe’s state was.
She didn’t hesitate to start taking off her blouse.
Her blouse was lose on her body, leaving room for air to flow through and make her feel refreshed every time, so she didn’t doubt that the blouse she has wouldn’t fit on the third husband.
However, as she undressed herself, the two mediators in front of her flinched, their heads turning away to not look at her.
Just what is she trying to do?!
She apologized to them, but she’s going to do what those men wanted to do to them as well?
Alhai felt himself getting afraid and frustrated.
This is the reason why I can’t trust her. The third husband thought, his fists clenched tightly as he waited for Coco to finish undressing herself.
The two of them waited for the black haired woman to push them down and take them right there and then, but they simultaneously jumped when Coco spoke instead of touching them.
"Wear this, Alhai."
Alhai perked up, his eyes snapping on the blouse on Coco’s hand.
"It might be a tight fit, but please deal with it for now." She said, the guilty and apologetic look still lingering in her eyes, "I’ll make sure to take care of these men after I made sure that you two arrived at the village safely."
Alhai and Heiren didn’t respond.
Even if they wanted to, they couldn’t. How could they speak when they can feel their hearts on their throat?
Though, Alhai didn’t have a choice, but to grab the blouse from Coco and wear it reluctantly. Sure enough, the piece of clothing was a tight fit on his body, but it did cover him.
Their eyes wandered on Coco, glancing on the piece of silk wrapped around her torso that covers up most of her upper body. The silk hugged her curves delicately yet securely, something that the husbands didn’t expect to see.
Who knew that Coco Hughes would have a body that could seduce people?
Has she been hiding that kind of body in a loose blouse and robe? She has been hiding that kind of body from people’s eyes?
For some reason, Alhai and Heiren felt their heart skip a beat.
"That should be good for now." Coco spoke up as she glanced at the robe and blouse on the husbands’ bodies, "Let’s go. I’ll walk the two of you back to the gates.".
Coco started walking towards the basket, her hand grazing the exterior a little before she bent down and grabbed the leg of the unconscious man next to it, her grip on the man’s leg was tight and rough.
"What are you doing..?" Heiren asked, his voice raspy from the pleading he did earlier.
"Going to drag two or three douchebags to the gates and have them tied up." Coco answered as she continued her grabbing and picking up unconscious men, hauling them on her shoulders.
Alhai and Heiren watched while Coco picked up not two, not three, but four men— and placed two unconscious men on each shoulder.
"I can’t leave these pieces of shits out here, they need to pay for the price of their crime."
