New World with Four Husbands
Chapter 63: That’s impossible!

Chapter 63: That’s impossible!

"Have you heard?"

"Coco Hughes didn’t only bring a flying pig, but it seems that she also was in business with the village merchant..!"

"Gasp! You mean..?"

"If you were lucky to buy the fruits she has sold to Old Kerry then you would have known that the fruits she brings back are out of this world!"

"You tell me! Those fruits..!"

Heiren and Quizen exchanged looks, their eyebrows furrowed in confusion as they heard several people gossiping about their trash of a wife.

What do they mean by her bringing a flying pig? Is she going out of the village to hunt monsters in the forest now?

Heiren frowned.

That’s impossible, right? How could Coco Hughes ever get herself hunting if the closest thing she could do close to moving is walking from the house to the pub?

The woman who used to drown herself in alcohol, create and bring chaos inside the house, destroying utensils, appliances, and furniture, is now hunting and selling it to who? The people of the village?

Not only that, she’s also doing business with the village merchant who was known for her picky and peculiar attitude?

It doesn’t make sense. The brown haired mediator thought, disdain flowing through his veins like acid, melting every kindness and taking away his ability to think rationally, his resentment towards their wife shooting up to the sky, up to outer space.

"Let’s just hurry and bring these spices home, I’m sure Zaque is getting impatient." Quizen stated, his voice flat and void of emotion as he picked up his pace.

The only reason why they went outside was to buy pepper and salt because they had run out.

Heiren has been cooking delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch, and dinner because of what Coco brings everyday. Not to mention, the fruits, the ripe and juicy fruits that seem to melt their guards down whenever they take a bite—

Ugh.. I won’t let her bring my guard down. For all I know, she might beat me up or Alhai again. Quizen thought with a deep frown, the memory of being the outlet for Coco’s anger and frustration flashing before his eyes for a moment.

A chill ran down his spine from recalling those painful memories and all he could was shake his head to get rid of them.

As they walk towards their house with haste, the murmurs and whispers of gossip of the people around got louder and changed which made the blue haired and brown haired mediator slow their pace slightly to eavesdrop for a second.

"I heard from my sister’s friend that they saw Coco carrying that heavy oven all by herself! Can you imagine?!"

"Tell me about it! She was sweating and looked.."

"Attractive?"

"Yes, but shush! My husband might hear us!"

The mediators tensed. Now, not only did Coco turn alcoholic, but now, she’s also seducing people left and right? Just how bad can she be?!

Angered beyond words, the mediators marched their way back to their house.

However, once they turned a corner, the sight of Coco Hughes trudging slowly through the murmuring crowds with sweat running down her face and a large oven settled tightly on her arms greeted them like thunder striking loudly in the sky on a sunny day.

She has a bag slinging on her left shoulder with her hands clutching the oven close to her chest tightly, pressing it against her body to not let it drop forward.

Heiren gasped audibly, his eyes wide in shock and disbelief as he watched his wife approach their house.

"Hello?! Is anyone home?!" Coco called out, her voice loud and could be heard from the two mediators’ spot which snapped them out of their astonished daze.

"Those loud mouthed people weren’t lying when they said she was carrying an oven!" Heiren exclaimed, holding the half kilo of salt tighter to his chest and rushed towards their house.

"You’ve got to be kidding me!" Quizen hissed, his eyebrows furrowed as he followed behind the second husband.

"Zaque! I brought back something for you!" Coco called out from inside the house after being let in by the third husband who looked as astonished as the second and fourth husband when he saw the oven in her arms.

Alhai’s teal colored eyes are as wide as saucers as Coco placed the oven beside the counter where the sink was built in.

"Why did you let her in?" Heiren asked the third husband as soon as he reached the house, hissing the question out with his eyes narrowing on Coco’s humming and happy form.

"I— I didn’t.." Alhai murmured, his eyebrows furrowing at the sight of the oven.

The three of them couldn’t interrogate each other because Zaque came rushing down the staircase, catching everyone’s attention except for Coco who was still fixing the spot for the oven.

"Are you serious?" Zaque’s voice was dripping with disbelief and slight amazement as his eyes stared at the oven.

"Oh, you’re here!" Coco perked up when she heard the first husband’s voice and smiled brightly, "Come, come, come! I brought something else for all of you to use."

She beckoned not only the first husband, but the rest of the husbands as well.

Quizen closed the door and locked it, following the Heiren’s and Alhai’s reluctant steps towards their wife as she placed the bag down on the table.

Coco brought out the toaster and blender, making the four mediators let out collective gasps of shock which they seem to be doing for the past hour after hearing and seeing unbelievable things that their wife seems to be doing.

"I bought magic stones with Zaque earlier and wanted to see how it works— can one of you try to show me how it works?" Coco asked, placing the toaster down and looking at the awestruck husbands, her eyes landing on each one.

When she received no response, she frowned.

"Hello? Can someone show me how magic stones work on these things?"
