Chapter 90: So weird

Asher thought and wiped off the fur stuck to his clothes while the duke walked to the door, gently placing the cat outside, then waving his hand as his goodbye.

Meanwhile, Asher was bothered by something again. He was still in the clothes he wore in the morning. And, they were now dirty with sweat, fur of the cat and who knows what.

Asher always gets washed and changed into fresh clothes before sleeping. So, he was feeling uncomfortable and nervous to sleep like this. And also hesitant as he didn’t want to dirty the duke’s bed.

He wanted to ask the duke if he would lend some clothes but wondered if it would be too much to ask.

He was very worried about what the duke would think and tried his best to think of something that would not show up as entitled.

Should he explain his worry to the duke?

However, during this time, Felix noticed how Asher was staring at the clothes he was wearing with a sullen expression. As soon as Felix saw this, he guessed Asher must have wanted some fresh clothes.

So, he grabbed some of his clothes and gave it to Asher who looked at him dumbfounded, then suddenly getting red in embarrassment as he had got exposed easily. Well, there was nothing to embarrass about. But still...

"Do you want to take a bath? I can carry you there if you want."

The duke said when he saw Asher holding the clothes he gave and secretly glancing toward the bathroom.

Felix couldn’t help but feel Asher was so easy to read.

"No! I can walk!"

Asher jumped up and said immedietely. But, he wasnt really sure about that though. Still, how could he say he can’t walk? What if he sounded like he was trying to take advantage of the situation by doing that? There was no way he was going to give a bad impression...

So, he would just do whatever he could do now.

Hopefully, good for Asher, the duke was thoughtful.

Felix was skeptical to let Asher get up or walk alone because since Asher fainted once so he could get dizzy and faint one more time if he tried to get up this early.

Lucas didn’t give him any other medicine either other than replacing his pills. So, Felix couldn’t be sure if Asher was fine yet. He didn’t want to risk anything. Since he was there, he would help Asher.

"Okay then. Can you get up?"

Felix didn’t argue but stood beside Asher, ready to help him if needed.

"Yeah."

Asher got up, but immediately sat down again feeling slightly dizzy.

"Are you okay?"

Felix sat beside him, asking gently, seeing Asher backing up.

"A little dizzy."

Asher said, feeling defeated.

"Wait here then. I will fill the tub and bring you there. You should rest till you feel better. You sit and wait. Ah! Don’t try to walk alone since you are dizzy."

Felix warned Asher before rushing to the bathroom and soon, Asher heard the sound of water running and the duke returning to him after.

"Hold onto me."

Asher was startled when the duke said and suddenly picked him up easily. In response, Asher’s arms immediately went around the duke’s neck for fear of falling.

"D-duke...No need to carry me."

Asher said, embarrassed and feeling like a burden.

"It’s alright. I did the same before. I am used to it."

When the duke said, Asher recalled that time when the duke carried him just like this.

So... just one time and the duke was already used to it?

It’s still good that the duke didn’t seem to hate helping him. But Asher didn’t want to take advantage of the situation either.

He might have been still able to walk if the duke had just supported his body too. Well...it’s easier this way though.

"Ah... There is a new bath towel for you there. You can put it on when you are done washing. then call me when you are done."

Felix specially put one there because the last time he had to help the naked Asher, he felt that situation should be avoided as Asher could be uncomfortable to show up naked in front of him.

Who wants to be naked in front of someone else?

Of course it must have made Asher feel embarrassed that day.

Felix, this time was thoughtful and told Asher proudly as he left the bathroom after Asher nodded in agreement.

Felix came back and sat on the bed, dazedly staring down at the floor, not really thinking about anything.

How much has his life changed now?

He was impatiently waiting for someone to come out of the bathroom so he can also wash up and sleep together.

Before he never even had anyone.

’Haa...why am I thinking about it like this? We slept together before.’

Felix thought and blamed himself for being childish and needy. He couldn’t deny but he looked forward to having someone else sleep here with him. It doesn’t feel gloomy that way. Especially since it is Asher, he felt comfortable and hopeful to be next to him.

It’s just...an unknown feeling.

It felt like he was slowly getting attached to Asher as they are slowly finding out each other’s secrets that make them closer and special to each other.

"D-duke?"

Felix was pulled back out of his daze when he heard Asher’s nervous voice. He must be feeling hesitant to call him.

Felix immediately went in and saw Asher holding onto the wall and standing up, but with a frown.

"Be careful."

Felix supported him and helped him walk back. Asher realised standing up like this and walking again, his dizziness slowly disappeared. He intently stood up before calling the duke so the duke wouldn’t try to carry him like before instead would support him as it would be the fast reaction.

As expected, thankfully the duke just supported him to walk as it was the quick way to prevent him from falling.

’Hehe...’

Asher giggled secretly like a fool, feeling refreshed and overjoyed.

Was it because his attempt worked or the excitement of seeing the duke worrying about him that makes him get goosebumps every time he thinks about it?

So weird...
