My Dear Duke(BL)
Chapter 151: Crazy(3)

Chapter 151: Crazy(3)

"...Is he really going crazy? Can’t we help him?"

Asher asked Sir Lucas, feeling really helpless.

"I don’t think he is going crazy. He doesn’t show any progress for that end. This might be just some random incident. Or...indeed could be an early sign too. But, I am sure he is not going crazy now. But he is already convinced he has no way out. That’s the annoying thing. He doesn’t listen to anything I say at all. Haa..."

Lucas complained and Asher, following a moment of silence, mumbled how he also felt about this situation.

"...I feel lost."

Lucas looked at him and left a long sigh.

"Let’s do something Asher. Don’t worry. Me and Karl obviously won’t let him rot like this. Let’s figure out a way. If you can, try convincing him he is not going crazy."

"Mmm..."

Asher discussed his problems with sir Lucas yet he seemed to never find reassurance.

He felt like he was losing the duke.

He couldn’t believe that during these two days, such a drastic difference occurred.

Asher was scared.

He wasn’t ready to let go of the duke like this.

He won’t let him ignore him.

However, despite Asher’s attempts to get close and comfort the duke, he was always left disappointed or pushed away.

"Asher... Please don’t touch me."

Asher was not very welcomed by the duke since that day he started to believe he was going crazy. But, Asher went anyway. However, when the duke openly asked him not to touch him, Asher felt really hurt because he didn’t think the duke would ask him not to touch him.

And, that’s just the beginning.

It got even worse when the duke refused to even let anyone come inside his room as he locked himself in, completely ignoring everyone’s worries and requests.

That was when Asher lost all his senses too.

At that point, it was not the duke, but Asher who was going crazy.

There were many times Mary had to physically stop Asher from pounding on the duke’s door and try to break in. Even with Asher’s cries, pleadings and all those whimpers, Felix still didn’t come to see Asher. He stayed inside, not even responding back...even to Lucas. Even Lucas was not able to approach Felix.

No one had heard the duke’s voice for two days now. It made some maids who now saw this big mess believe the duke...might be dead inside. Or else...how can he not even talk back to Asher who was crying at the door, begging him to let him in?

Sigh...

Meanwhile, Mary, under Lucas’s requests, tried to at least give the duke some food or lure him out. Since the door was always closed, she could only place it by the door...which they thought at least would make him open the door. But neither did he accept the food nor did he open the door.

But since Felix still had access to water from inside, Lucas thought things were not at least the worst.

That’s how he tried to hold himself back from breaking the door and going inside. He was sure he would possibly end up getting really angry at Felix for doing this and making everyone worry.

But on the other hand, he felt like Felix should be left alone to gather himself together. But..for how long? This bastard will think everyone just gave up on him if they were to stop bothering him like this at least by knocking on the door.

But, it’s not like they can beg like this everyday. Felix needs to talk with them and find a way to solve this. Not like this, completely accepting defeat so easily and giving up on everything this early.

Lucas was getting mad. He promised himself he would wait one more day in case Felix was indeed trying to accept the fact and try to work on it if he were so convinced he would end up like his mother. When the day after tomorrow comes, Lucas would not be waiting anymore. He would break this damn door.

And, one more thing.

Asher...

Lucas must think about him too.

At the beginning of this mess, Lucas couldn’t help but pay more attention to Asher too since he also looked really concerning.

However, now, Asher who looked drained at first, looked quite better with only his mood being quite bad. It’s actually better than before. And, Lucas was relieved that at least Asher listened to him and took care of himself, prepared for anything.

Oh,Right! When he thinks about it again, there is something more...

It looked like Asher had changed a lot within one day. He had stopped sobbing, instead maintaining his facial expressions just enough to show what he was feeling. It really was such a big change.

Asher would not cry while he talks to him now. He would talk to him to discuss what they’re going to do, with a straight face, looking suddenly stronger.

Everytime Lucas would expect Asher to break down crying, he was left surprised as he saw Asher just doing okay.

At least, it’s a positive thing in this situation.

So, Lucas was happy about this improvement.

However, little did he know this was not because Asher took care of himself but because he had gotten sick of everything.

He was done.

He is so tired.

He can’t do this anymore.

But, that didn’t mean he was tired of the duke.

He was only tired of putting in all this effort that seemed useless to have his chance to see the duke where he could tell the duke what he is doing wrong...and, make sure, the duke knows he can’t leave him alone just because he suddenly found out he is going crazy.

That’s not a good enough reason to abandon him like this. If one thing happened, it was that this incident made Asher more possessive of the duke as he felt he needed to make sure the duke wouldn’t push him away. Asher was not letting the duke push him away.

No way he would leave the duke alone. He will tie himself up to the duke if the duke dares to continue this again.

Asher didn’t have to be sad anymore. Because now, he knew what he needed to do.

If the duke wouldn’t open the door for his cries, he wouldn’t cry.

If the duke wouldn’t open the door to his begs, then he wouldn’t beg either.

If the duke wouldn’t listen to him when he is being kind and really patient, then he wouldn’t be kind or patient anymore either.

’You ignored me because you wanted me to approach you in a different way, didn’t you? So don’t blame me. I am done begging.’

The duke...is about to see how feral Asher could be...

Obviously, the duke can’t blame Asher. Since he was the one that led Asher to change this way and...embrace the new self he found within himself that was born upon grieving and his desperation for reconciliation...

’Let’s see today, duke.’
