Chapter 145: Sorry

When Asher woke up again, he saw the duke had fallen asleep again, which was also very rare to see.

’Was he tired? He had not slept like this before. Did I make him lazy too?’

Asher thought and poked the duke’s cheeks, then leaned in to kiss them.

He was always tempted to do something.

He couldn’t keep his hands to himself.

’Even sleeping like this feels like he is calling me to touch him. Since when did I become so horny though?’

Asher caressed the sleeping duke’s cheek, thinking as he smiled.

Wait...

There’s...something...

’Why did I think of that kind of a scene?’

Asher paused and stared at the duke’s face, thinking about the images that flew to his mind a second ago. They...looked tempting too.

’The duke rarely asks for something from me. Unless I give it to him, he won’t really ask for it. Is he shy...or just isn’t that needy?’

Asher thought as he then thought about those images that flew to his mind again.

’The duke had never shown that kind of expression or begged me to kiss him like that. Sigh...I am delusioning so much, aint I? I kind of wish to see him asking...or begging for things though. Hehe...I will make him beg like that one day. And, I will give him everything he wants because he is my good boy who deserves everything.’

Asher grinned, leaning closer to the duke, doing his responsibility as ’the mosquito’.

Asher kissed him everywhere in his face, then leaving marks on the neck and shoulder, proudly staring at them with a grin afterward.

’It makes me happy to see these every time. Even though...they don’t look that good since I ruined the duke’s smooth beautiful skin...’

Asher rubbed the red spots that were made by his teeth rubbing against as he eargly sucked and left the traces on that easily bruising skin.

’Sigh...I’ll let him sleep.’

Asher stopped touching the duke more and slowly got off the bed. But then, again turned to stare back at the duke.

’I woke up first today. Then, for the second time too, I woke up first. Hehe...I feel like I won something today.’

Asher proudly thought and went to the bathroom, getting ready as he was now planning to tease the duke about sleeping till late.

It’s a good day...

Once Asher was back, all dressed up and ready to go to work, he jumped on the duke, waking him up.

"Don’t be lazy, get up!"

Asher mumbled to the duke’s ear, making the duke stretch his body and look around as he slowly woke up. But instead of getting up after waking up, he hugged Asher and closed his eyes after smiling at Asher.

Then, fell asleep...again.

Just like that...

"Wait! Are you sleeping again?!"

Asher stared at the duke’s face, then at his arms that slowly fell off from the hug as he went to deep sleep. Asher was taken aback because the duke had never been like this before.

The duke always wakes up at the exact time to get ready and go to work. He always did it on routine which made Asher also encouraged to not be lazy.

’Is he sick? Is that why he is sleepy?’

Asher put his palm on the duke’s forehead but felt nothing different.

The duke seemed totally fine too.

’Maybe...he is just tired.’

Asher got up and got off the bed, feeling quite sad. The duke must be tired. He deserved a break and a day for himself to skip the routine. So, Asher did not disturb him anymore.

Asher covered the duke with the blanket properly, placed a kiss on the forehead, then left.

While Asher was on his way to Miss Anne’s room which was as usual as ever, he was again pulled to the moment in the morning he felt weird.

It wasn’t there anymore. But he really believed he lost his memories for a moment. It took some time for him to recall everything that happened as if he had to collect the pieces together.

So weird...

Asher knocked on Miss Anne’s room door and was again in for a surprise.

’Did the sun rise from another side today?’

Just as Asher knocked the door, it opened and, there, stood his little Miss, all dressed and ready for the day.

Asher just stared at her in silence because he was surprised she had woken up early and had even got herself ready.

Usually, when he came to see her, she would be asleep. He always knocks and then comes in by himself when Miss Anne calls him when she is woken up by his knocking sound. Other than that, very rarely did she open the door for him but...it had never been like this... She would just be with her messy bed hair, sleepy eyes and night clothes.

Today...she has gotten ready by herself.

But...this was an improvement, wasn’t it?

Seeing Asher surprised, Anne smiled, looking very proud.

"Miss woke up early today?"

"Yeah."

"Wow. So what were you doing? Since you woke early, do you want your breakfast early?"

Asher asked his little miss who sat on the chair, facing him, smiling all while.

"No brother Ash. No need. I just woke up early and got ready by myself even before any maid came to help me, aren’t I good?"

Anne fished for a compliment and Asher chuckled, then nodded as he said she was such a good girl.

"...Brother Ash is also early today."

Asher heard Miss Anne say and smiled.

"I woke up early today. I waited till the time to come here though. Maybe I was still a little early."

"Mmm...Did father go to work too?"

"Ah, he is still sleeping. He has more time anyway."

"Oh...I see."

Asher and Anne talked for some more time, then Asher left again to meet Mary so he could give Miss Anne’s today’s preference for her breakfast.

’She is cute. She looks proud of waking up early. What a sweet innocent kid...’

Asher thought and smiled as he went to do his job, starting a very casual day...but a little early.

....

’This is the last thing I wanted to do. I am sorry father and brother Ash. But...I had to do it...’

Anne threw herself on the bed, then closed her eyes as she kind of regretted everything she did.

If she had been careful, she wouldn’t have caused such a situation.

’I wouldn’t have to mess with your memories too. I’m sorry. I will be careful from now on...’
