Chapter 207: Ye Chen Ling

"Got it, I’ll give her a call later.."

Tang Xue Mei yawned as she settled into the bed, she stared at Shenmei who was in Mingyue’s arms and her eyes brightened up proudly.

Her daughter was definitely going to become a stunner.

As Feng Shiyan and Qin Mingyue were cooing over the twins and Su Huiying gently cradled one of the babies, a sense of calm and joy filled the room. One that Tang Xue Mei didn’t want to leave.

Tang Xue Mei and Feng Shihan exchanged a glance, their hearts warmed by their family’s presence.

Just then, both their phones buzzed simultaneously. Tang Xue Mei’s brow furrowed as she reached for her phone, while Feng Shihan did the same, his expression instantly darkening.

The message on their screens sent a chill through the room:

"Ill be back, and when I do, I’ll be taking your children along with me.."

The sender: Ye Chen Ling.

Feng Shihan clenched his phone, his jaw tightening as he quickly glanced at Tang Xue Mei. She stared at the message in disbelief, her hands tighten instinctively.

"Shihan..." Tang Xue Mei whispered, her voice trembling slightly.

Feng Shihan was already moving. He shot a quick glance to Feng Shiyan, signaling him to take charge of the situation without alarming the others. "I’ll handle this," Feng Shihan murmured under his breath, his expression cold and calculating.

Tang Xue Mei’s eyes were wide with fear, but she composed herself, for the sake of the twins and not to alarm her mother.

She knew that Ye Chen Ling had been locked up, yet here was her message, full of menace and threat.

"She’s supposed to be locked...how did she—?" Tang Xue Mei started.

"Don’t worry," Feng Shihan said quietly, but firmly. "I’ll make sure she can’t get anywhere near you or the children." He quickly stepped out of the room, dialing Ken’s number.

Feng Shihan stepped out of the room, his expression dark as he immediately dialed Ken. The phone rang only once before Ken answered.

"Boss," Ken said, his voice filled with tension.

Without wasting time, Feng Shihan went straight to the point. "How did Ye Chen Ling escape?"

There was a brief pause on the other end. "Boss... Ye Chen Ling managed to escape last night."

Feng Shihan’s jaw tightened, and his voice turned cold. "Explain."

Ken hesitated for a moment before continuing, "Someone powerful helped her, boss. We don’t know who yet, but this wasn’t an ordinary breakout. They bypassed all of our security measures without leaving a trace. By the time we realized she was gone, it was too late."

Feng Shihan’s grip on the phone tightened as he paced. "You’re telling me that with all the precautions we put in place, someone walked in and out like it was nothing?"

Ken’s voice was filled with frustration. "I’m sorry, boss. We’ve been reviewing footage and searching for any clues, but whoever did this... they’re no amateur. It’s like Ye Chen Ling just vanished."

Feng Shihan’s eyes narrowed, his mind racing. "I don’t care how skilled they are. Find them. I want her back under lock and key, and I want to know who’s behind this."

"Understood, boss. We’re already on it," Ken responded quickly. "I’ll keep you updated with any new developments."

Before ending the call,Feng Shihan added, "Get me in touch with Kim Dan. It’s time we up our security level."

Ken quickly responded, "I’ll make the arrangements and have Kim Dan contact you right away."

Feng Shihan continued after a brief pause. "Also, increase the security around the hospital and this room five times over. I don’t want any mistakes."

Ken responded immediately, "Understood, boss. I’ll have extra teams deployed to the hospital and make sure no one gets through."

"Good. I want updates every hour."

"Will do," Ken confirmed before ending the call.

Feng Shihan sighed as he swept his hands through his hair, he just couldn’t catch a break and today was supposed to be the happiest day of his life.

Now he couldn’t concentrate on Tang Xue Mei or the babies, knowing Ye Chen Ling was now roaming free.

"Fuck!"

Feng Shihan kicked the wall angrily and sighed, he couldn’t get angry now was the time for him to sit down and think.

He returned to Tang Xue Mei’s side, masking his concern with a reassuring smile. The others were still cooing over the babies, completely unaware of the looming danger. He gently placed a hand on Xue Mei’s shoulder, squeezing it lightly.

"Everything okay?" Tang Xue Mei asked, sensing the slight shift in his mood.

He nodded, not wanting to alarm her just yet. "Just some work. I’ve taken care of it."

Tang Xue Mei narrowed her eyes slightly but decided not to press him further. She shifted her focus back to the twins, who were peacefully asleep.

Just then, Xia Yuya looked up from the babies and smiled. "It’s such a beautiful moment. We should cherish this."

Feng Shihan nodded, though his mind was racing. He couldn’t stop thinking about Ye Chen Ling and the threat she could pose. How had she escaped? And who was the powerful person aiding her?

As if on cue, his phone buzzed again. It was a text from Ken: "Teams deployed. Security tightened. Kim Dan will contact you shortly."

Feng Shihan gave a quick glance at the message before pocketing his phone. The priority now was ensuring Xue Mei and the twins were safe.

Feng shiyan’s eyes darkened, he had a feeling the change in his brother’s mood was related to Ye Chen Ling.

"I hope be going, I have to see your father...the doctors said they had good news so I’m heading over now.."

Feng Shihan nodded and turned to An Yu, who nodded understanding the assignment.

"Mum let An Yu drop you off.."

Su Huiying didn’t argue and left with An Yu soon after, Xia Yuya also stood up wanting to head out soon.

"Shihua should have gotten home from school, I should be heading back now.."
