Chapter 208: Get some Ramyeon

Feng Shihan nodded to Xia Yuya, as she mentioned heading back home. "Alright, Mum. I’ll have someone escort you. I don’t want you driving alone right now."

Xia Yuya smiled warmly at her son, though her eyes held a hint of concern. "You worry too much, Shihan, but thank you. I appreciate it."

"I’ll have An Yu accompany you, hell drop you guys wherever you want to go," Feng Shihan insisted, signaling An Yu who came out of the corner.

"Of course, Madam," An Yu said.

Xia Yuya glanced back at the twins one last time, her expression softening. "Take care of those little angels. They’re the most precious gifts."

"We will," Tang Xue Mei said with a smile, though her mind still lingered on the unsettling message from Ye Chen Ling.

As Xia Yuya, Su Huiying and An Yu left the room, Feng Shihan took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him. There was no room for error now, especially with his family in potential danger.

He turned to Feng Shiyan, his voice firm. "Come with me, there’s something I want to discuss with you. Sister-in-law do keep Xue Mei busy, don’t let her head fill up with unnecessary thoughts. We’ll be right back."

Feng Shiyan nodded, his gaze serious. "I have a feeling I know what you’re about to tell me."

Feng Shihan led Feng Shiyan out of the room and into a quieter part of the hallway, away from the others. Once they were alone, he turned to Feng Shiyan, his expression hardening.

"Ye Chen Ling escaped," Feng Shihan said, his voice low but sharp.

Feng Shiyan’s eyes darkened, his suspicions confirmed. "How? Wasn’t she was locked up tight?."

"Apparently she has a powerful backer," Feng Shihan replied, frustration evident in his tone. "Ken is already on it, but we don’t have much to go on yet. I’ve increased security around the hospital and our homes, but that’s not enough. This really leaves me in a pinch."

Feng Shiyan nodded, his mind already racing with possible solutions. "We need to find out who’s behind this and why they’re targeting us. We have to know if they themselves have any grudge against you or sister-in-law. It’s no coincidence that she sent that message right after the twins were born."

"Exactly," Feng Shihan agreed. "I’m not taking any chances. I’ve already contacted Kim Dan to help tighten our security. But I need you to keep a close eye on the company while I handle the rest."

Feng Shiyan placed a reassuring hand on his brother’s shoulder. "Consider it done. We’ll protect the family, no matter what. And we can’t let Ye Chen Ling escape our fingers this time."

Feng Shihan gave a curt nod. "Thank you. Let’s make sure everyone is safe first, then we’ll find Ye Chen Ling and whoever helped her. They won’t get away with this."

Three days later, the hospital buzzed with activity as Tang Xue Mei prepared to be discharged. The excitement of taking the twins home was palpable, but an undercurrent of tension lingered in the air.

Despite the joy of this moment, Feng Shihan’s vigilance hadn’t wavered for a second.

Tang Xue Mei sat on the edge of the bed, cradling Shenmei while Feng Shihan held Shenhua. The twins had already won over the hearts of everyone in the hospital, and the nurses had been reluctant to see them leave. Feng Shiyan and Qin Mingyue were also in the room, helping with last-minute preparations.

"Everything’s packed, and the car is ready," Feng Shiyan said, glancing at his brother. "I’ve doubled the security on the route and at home. We’re all set."

Feng Shihan nodded appreciatively. "Good. We’re not taking any chances."

Tang Xue Mei looked up at them, trying to keep her expression calm. "Is all this security really necessary? It feels like we’re preparing for a siege, not just a trip home."

Feng Shihan exchanged a brief glance with Feng Shiyan before responding. "It’s just a precaution, Xue Mei. I want to make sure we all get home safely."

Tang Xue Mei sighed, knowing there was no point in arguing. She could sense how deeply Feng Shihan was concerned, and she didn’t want to add to his stress. "Alright, let’s go home then."

Qin Mingyue gently took Shenmei from Tang Xue Mei so she could stand up. "We’re all here for you, Xue Mei. Everything will be fine."

As they made their way out of the room, Feng Shihan stayed close to Tang Xue Mei, his eyes constantly scanning their surroundings. An Yu was already waiting for them outside with the car, and two more vehicles filled with security personnel were positioned strategically around the hospital entrance.

"Shihan couldn’t you be more subtle, even the president doesn’t need this much security. You’re being overly anxious.."

Tang Xue Mei lips twitched, she could understand where he was coming from but it was a bit too much.

"I want you and the twins to be protected at all times.."

Feng Shihan sighed as he swept his hand through his hair, he didn’t want to admit it but this was all starting to get to him.

"You won’t get anything like this, just calm down and think. You’ve been protecting us well, you won’t make a mistake...I trust you Shihan.."

Feng Shihan smiled and pulled Tang Xue Mei into his arms, he really needed that, he stared at the twins as they squirmed in Feng Shiyan and Qin Mingyue’s arms.

With a sigh, his resolve hardened, this was his family and he would do everything in his power to protect them.

"Alright, I’ll reduce the security next time for now let’s go home."

Tang Xue Mei smiled and nodded, it didn’t matter what Ye Chen Ling could do they would always come out unscathed.

"I want ramyeon, now that those kiddos are out I can eat whatever I want. I want pickled fish and shrimps! Let’s get hotpot guys!"
