Chapter 70: HE WAS JUST HAPPY THAT SHE WAS TALKING TO HIM

Senior Sterling at the little boy’s words smiled smally and said in a low voice, "I will try my best, dear." And though, his said that, his eyes were looking at nothingness and he felt his heart feeling heavy, letting out a shalow breathe.

After Gavriel calmed down a little, he pulled out his head of Senior Sterling’s embrace and asked excitedly, "So, this uncle is going to be our bodyguard?" He was back to his usual cheerful self.

To which, Dante was the one who nodded his head and said, "Yes, Gavriel." He had a small smile on his lips, happy that at least his son was looking forward to having him around them. His woman looked still skeptical, though not so severely like before. Still!

Gavriel grinned, his little teeth on the show, and then excitedly looked at everyone present there and said, "So it will be just like in the movies! Where the big shots are being protected by bodyguards?!"

To which, Dante nodded again happily and said, "Yes, exactly in that way."

And then Senior Sterling said in a little low voice, as if he was telling Gavi some secret, though it could be heard by everyone, and said, "Though, do you know Gavi, Dante himself is a big shot. But I have asked him to protect you. That in itself makes you the bigger big shot."

And as Gavi heard Senior Sterling say that, his eyes shone even brighter and he said, "Really?! Hihi! That’s awesome." He then turned towards his mother and said, "Mamma! Isn’t it so cool!?"

Dove smiled looking at her little son who was overjoyed and nodded.

She then turned towards Dante and said politely, "Mr Lancaster, whatever this arrangement is, thank you." Dove knew that whatever it is, nothing is really going to change even if she said something.

Moreover, if she thought about it in a clear way then her grandfather was indeed right. Here, she had to face a lot of unsaid competition and complications. He is right about the human greed and viciousness. She can’t underestimate it.

Dante shook his head slightly, his expressions mellowed and he replied, "You don’t have to thank me for it, Miss Dove." He was just happy that she was talking to him, in all honesty.

Those people were having their gossips in the room, when they heard some sound, and looked towards the entrance to see two people walking in.

Freya Sterling and Noah walked in. And when they entered, they both froze at the door steps, when they saw Dove. Though, the reasons for both of them to be shocked like this was different, yet same. Dove.

Freya, she did not know that Dove would be coming home today. In fact, she was out at her cousin’s place, and had just returned. And just as she came back, and was getting down her car, she was pleasantly surprised to see Noah’s car entering the mansion too. She was pleased to see her son, thinking that he had come to meet her.

They had just talked and were entering the house when she is seeing this now. Her eyes went wide seeing Dove.

As years started passing by, and Dove did not step back in to the country, Freya started believing that maybe she was wrong at the beginning, and that Senior Sterling had sent Dove abroad because he was really mad at her, and that she might not come back any time soon.

She was not very wrong to think about it in that way too. Since, Senior Sterling rarely even mentioned Dove in the house, or in front of her. Though, it was also a matter of thought that there was no reason for Senior Sterling to mention Dove in front of Freya, since both Dove and Freya had showed their dislike for each other blatantly for a while then.

But anyway, it would also sometimes, make Freya wonder how was Dove doing at times. After all, the last time she knew she was already pregnant and young. And Senior Sterling had already given her a bunch of responsibilities.

And right now, she was sitting in front of her. Freya’s eyes were on Dove, and she had not admit that Dove had changed some what. She was already very pretty to begin with. But now that a few years passed by, she looked even more gracefully beautiful. She now has the grace and beauty of a woman.

And Noah, he too had his eyes stunned on Dove. His heart rate accelerating with each passing second.

Noah knew that he had been staring at Dove, and he knew that he should be moving his eyes else where, but he couldn’t. He just couldn’t.

Just like his mother, the same thing was also going on in his head. Dove, she was looking so beautiful!

Initially, Noah had thought that, he had gotten over his unstoppable and crazy feelings for Dove. He thought that maybe it was not that bad, where it was unsuppressable.

But oh lord! He was so wrong thinking that! In his heart, it felt like a dam that he had built in the last four years and more, they all broke out, and his feelings for her just flooded out, destroying any and every doubt lingering in his heart about his feelings for her.

Meanwhile, aside from the two of them who had turned into a statue, the others were also staring at them. Dove was also stunned a for a little. After all, seeing someone after so long without having had any contact for the last four years, did indeed feel a little weird. especially when these were the people, she had loved them for almost a decade or more.

But unlike Freya and Noah, who were still lost in their own thoughts, Dove was soon to recover. She had a small smile on her lips, as being the younger one in age and relationship, she decided to stand up.
