Chapter 62: PLEASE GIVE ME A CHANCE

"And it was also the same time we all found out that Dove was pregnant." Elder Sterling looked at Dante, as realisation drawned over him. After a few months of rhat incident, Dante had told him about his father being attacked, during a call. Senior Simon was shocked to hear it. After all, it was a huge thing, and he remember Dante being in a very tight space during those time. So that was when it happened.

But aside from being Dove’s grandfather, Senior Sterling was also someone who he respected a lot. And always looked up to. If he didn’t agree with it, Dante would be hurt.

Seeing the tear fall, Senior Sterling for a moment did not know how to react. And well the most shocked among them was Calix. Senior Sterling then sighed, before his expressions softened and he raised his hand to put his old hand on the young man’s face and wiped the wetness of his tear that streamed down his face.

He was the little boy that he had seen grow up in front of his eyes. And Dante was the boy that he had always considered as his own grandson. And after seeing now that how serious and sincere, he was for Dove, he approved of it. He wanted his answers and he got it. And those answer were also what he was satisfied with.

His expressions softened and he said, his voice now considerably more gentle and he said, "If you want time, Dante I can give you time. I have no problem.

I will let you around Dove, you can pursue her in your own way. But from my side, i can only give you six months and after that it is no longer up to me."

Dante did not care. He nodded his head in a hurry, like a chicken pecking on grains and he said, "It is enough, Grandpa." Dante was already happy with the fact that, Senior Sterling did not stop him from approach his granddaughter and Gavriel altogether.

Senior Sterling then nodded his head with a small smile and he said, "Dante, Dove will be taking over Sterling Corporation. And I am sure you know what difficulties and dangers comes along with it. And I want you to protect her. Officially. And during this time, try and see if you are able to pursue her. But remember, it is not only her whom you have to win over, but your son too.

Dove’s heart is in her son, after all."
