"It’s best we leave them alone the way they are, Darren". I said to him, and as I turned away from the building, I left.

Occasionally, I glanced at her, Anastasia. Her energy feels almost drained.

Did she deplete her powers while trying to save the Lycan King? Or did something else happen?

I was troubled because I knew that if I asked Alpha Anastasia about it whenever she woke up, she would probably lie to me and conceal the truth from me, like she always did.

But, Ha. Why did I have to see her? Now she’s stuck in my mind.

From Luciana’s house to the hotel wasn’t that far, so I arrived there in less than 20 minutes.

Since Alpha Anastasia had helped President Michael’s daughter, I think it’s time for her to return to the shadows’ pack and continue her training.

The next month is going to be tough.

With the existence of demons, things are bound to change and are going to become more difficult than before. And as the chosen child, she has to be at her best fit in order for her to be able to defeat evil.

Why it states that the chosen child would bring a bright energy to the entire world is because she would be the one to cleanse the world from the evils of the demons, and get rid of the wild beasts for good and those hybrid creatures.

"Ever since you changed, I always feel that you are hiding something big from me. I just hope that you will open up to me and tell me the truth". I said after I entered the hotel room using the access key card.

Alpha Anastasia was the one who gave the key card to me as she didn’t need it. She could easily teleport into the hotel room if she wanted to.

But today is going to be our last day in the human cities.

Even if she didn’t wake up tomorrow, I would take her back to our pack.

I carried her to one of the rooms and laid her on the bed.

To be sure that everything was in order, I examined the whole bedroom and made sure that it was safe, before I left the room.

"Now, where did they go?". I frowned.

When I entered the room, the place was empty, and I could not sense Anders anywhere. My sense of smelling is at its strongest during the full moon. Especially during the bright full moon. So, I would have been able to sense that kid’s presence if he had been anywhere in this hotel room.

’Maybe that demon got him and the cats’. Darren said to me, making me regret for a second for not taking the kid with me when I left to find Alpha Anastasia.

"You are wrong, Darren, because I can’t sense any lingering dark energy here. No demon had taken him away". I replied to him, before leaving the hotel room.

’If it’s like you have said, Damien, then no doubt, that kid must have left the hotel room on his own and took the cats with him. He sure knows how to walk in the night. And I thought he was a scared pup’.

Darren’s words made me growl.

I ought to be in the hotel room right now, close to Alpha Anastasia’s side.

She was at her weakest at the moment, so I ought to be by her side to protect her from any unforeseen dangers. But instead of that, here I was searching for the whereabouts of a little kid and some cats.

They had better not be far away from the hotel.

Fireball’s pov,

I admit, walking with two feet was peak and kinda okay.

I have no idea whether mom would agree to it, but I am tired of being a cat. I want to remain in this human form.

Firstly, I am muscular, tall, and my hair is cool. And most importantly, my face is like those of the Greek gods.

I look breathtaking.

All the ladies we walked past had been staring at me non stop. You know, I do love to be noticed and adored.

But speaking of which, although it’s not very late in the night, why are the ladies outside by this time? They ought to be at home by now.

Humans. I have learned that they are weak creatures, but fearless and daring.

If it were female werewolves that I saw strolling and roaming outside in the dark, I would not worry about them because I know that they are more than capable of protecting themselves from harm.

But, humans are weak. Especially the ladies.

"Hey, bro. How does my voice sound? It’s awesome, right? Our mama would be proud of me, right?". Irving clung onto me and said to me, making me slap my forehead in embarrassment.

"Mama? Could you possibly be referring to the Alpha?". Anders asked.

"Yes, of course, silly boy. She’s me and Fireball’s Mama! How do you expect us to address her as, if not Mama, mother, mom or Mommy?". Irving replied to Anders.

She is so talkative. Must she reply to the boy?

She wasn’t like that when we weren’t able to talk, even when we could only mind link each other. At this rate, I preferred it if it was only me who was able to talk.

Understand me. Whenever she was mind-linking me, I could block her off and not be able to hear her voice if I wanted to.

But now that she was talking too much, I couldn’t stop hearing her voice even though I covered my ears. I wish I had awakened a magic trick that could silence her.

Anyway, where could our mama be? We have been searching for her, but neither me nor Irving have been able to sense her presence.

If only we had become stronger, then locating our mom would be a child’s play.

I clenched my fists. ’I must get stronger!’. I thought with fierce eyes and a determined will.
