Anders’ pov,

The sound of little footsteps woke me up. I opened my eyes, and after I sat on the sofa, the back of my hand began to rub my eyes.

I stopped what I was doing when I saw the cats walking back and forth. It seemed that they were restless. But why?

My growling stomach caught their attention, and they halted and stared at me.

I was hungry.

Honestly, I was hungry way before I fell asleep. But Sir Damien looked so mean, so I didn’t tell him anything and ended up falling asleep.

Strange. Why can’t I sense the alpha’s presence or Sir Damien’s presence?

Yeah. I could sense the superior werewolves’ presence.

I couldn’t possibly be an Omega, because if I was an Omega werewolf, I wouldn’t have been able to sense any werewolves’ presence.

I rose from the sofa and went to search for Alpha Anastasia and Sir Damien.

Maybe it was because I was far away from them that I couldn’t sense their presence.

Not minding the cats who began to follow me, I started searching around the hotel room for Alpha Anastasia and Sir Damien.

It took me only a few seconds to understand that I was alone with the cats in the room. Not even the Lycan King was anywhere to be found.

’I am all alone with the cats? No. I shouldn’t forget that they aren’t truly cats. They are dragons. Terrifying dragons that could end my life if I dare make a single mistake with them!’. I thought and felt a chill run down my spine.

But if I think about it, I ought to fear the Alpha more than them. She definitely used dark sorcery at that moment to kill that beast, before she went out of control.

I was so scared when she almost killed me. Thinking about that always made me shiver.

Who else knows about Alpha Anastasia and her cats? Does Sir Damien know? No. Absolutely not. I shouldn’t confuse myself.

Different thoughts began to fill my head. Including thoughts about that demon. ’What if that demon returns? What if he succeeds this time and takes over my body as his? Won’t that mean I will die?’.

But, that demon was the cause of my parents’ deaths.

He used my father’s uncle’s body to cause my parents’ deaths. I want to become stronger, so that I can avenge my parents!

I don’t want to be afraid of that demon again!

I returned to the living room and went and stood next to the window.

"Who did this to the curtains?". My hand touched the curtains as I muttered, but I didn’t pay much attention to it.

I was starving. I needed something to eat.

That wasn’t all. The sky had darkened. I didn’t want that demon to return since I was alone. At least, he shouldn’t appear to me now. Let me become stronger first.

So that exactly like the Lycan King, I would be able to fight the demon.

I flinched upon hearing a voice in my head. Someone had mind linked me. But who was that?

Knowing that it was only me and the dragons that were in the room, I slowly turned to them. The expression on my face clearly showed that I was confused. "It couldn’t possibly be them who had mind linked me, right?". I said to myself. "No. It can’t be them. I must be hallucinating".

’If you are done talking nonsense, Anders, you can come over here so that we can talk about where to go to find my mama’.

My eyes widened when I heard the voice again. It sounded like a young boy’s voice.

This can’t be a hallucination since I heard the voice again.

’What are you so scared about? I read your mind. I know you are aware that we are dragons. So, why are you scared that I can mind link you?’.

The same voice spoke to me again, before one of the cats walked towards me.

Both cats were black and looked identical and the same size, so it was hard for me to tell who it was.

I didn’t know if it was Fireball or Irving.

Then, the other cat came towards me too and halted beside the first cat.

They looked at each other and nodded at themselves, as if agreeing on something.

Poof!

I had to cover my eyes using the back of my hand because of the bright purple light and purple smoke that appeared out of nowhere and filled the atmosphere.

After the bright light disappeared, I removed the hand that was covering my face and opened my eyes.

I saw that the purple smoke still filled the air, but it wasn’t that much.

My attention suddenly diverted to the young lady and young guy who were standing in front of me.

The young lady had long white hair and was a beautiful dark-skinned lady. While the young guy had long black hair and was also a handsome, dark-skinned guy.

And they were wearing long black robes that looked like cosplay costumes.

’Which of them is Fireball? And which of them is Irving?’. I thought.

"We- huh? I can talk! Brother, I can talk!". The young lady exclaimed and began to jump around the living room in excitement.

"I guess we are truly growing more powerful, sister. Besides, we shifted to humans correctly this time. The last time.... We shifted wrongly and had to use those pitiful curtains". The young guy said.

These are the dragons?

So, they can not only shift to cats, but can shift to humans?

Wait a second.

Does that mean that the young man and young lady Sir Damien said he saw were them?!

I just discovered another of Alpha Anastasia’s dragons’ secrets. Am I really safe after knowing all these things that I’m not supposed to know?

My legs gave up because they became weak. In less than a second, I found myself sitting on the floor staring at the dragon guy who had his gaze fixed on me.

The lady was still busy jumping around happily, as if it was a big deal to be able to talk. Oh. Maybe they haven’t been able to talk until now?

"What is wrong with you? Why are you behaving so timidly?". The dragon guy with red eyes asked me with his hands wrapped on his abdomen. He had a displeased look on his face. It seemed like he was disgusted with me because of my state.

But I wasn’t bothered by that. ’Am I truly doomed?’. I thought.

Meanwhile, the dragon guy squatted next to me. He leaned close, making our faces only an inch or so apart from each other. He smirked at me, "Yes, you are doomed, Anders".

I gasped. "You can hear my thoughts?".

"I have told you. I can read your mind. And I could do that all day if I wanted to. I guess it isn’t wrong for you to fear us dragons".

My heart began to pound.

The dragon guy rose to his feet and turned his back towards me while he looked behind him a little bit. "What are you sitting there for, Anders? Follow me quickly. Additionally, I am Fireball. My sister is Irving". He walked away after he said this to me.

This can’t be happening.

Where did Alpha Anastasia find these dragons from?! How can dragons exist? And are there more of them?!
