Irving’s pov,

Me and my brother, Fireball, were quietly sitting on the sofa.

I noticed that Damien wanted to leave, and I knew the reason why he was leaving the room was to go and find my mom.

And to my own understanding, I understood that my mom would not want Damien to find her.

I know my mom too well. She wouldn’t have taken only Mr handsome with her, except she was about to do what she didn’t want anyone to see.

Oops. My bad. Fireball and I are simply not anyone.

So what I meant to say is that my mom took only Mr handsome with her because she must have wanted to use her dark powers and didn’t want Damien to find out about it.

That was the reason why when Damien wanted to leave the room, my brother made an invisible barrier that sent him flying.

Staring at my brother, I later returned my gaze to the stubborn Damien, who walked towards the door with a frown on his face.

’I need to get a closer look’. I thought as I jumped down from the sofa and went close to the door.

Damien kicked the door, maybe expecting the door to open for him this time, but what happened earlier repeated itself.

Fireball’s invisible barrier had sent him flying midair again until he landed on his feet again.

You may all be wondering how come Fireball has such an invisible barrier power and I didn’t? That’s because he is the eldest, and as the eldest brother, he ought to be stronger than me.

Besides that, yesterday, we graduated from our sleep training. Both Fireball and I were rewarded.

As for Fireball, he was rewarded with an invisible barrier power that could trap and limit people’s movement, and I, myself, gained the power of invisibility.

I can turn myself invisible.

How great is that?!

Exactly. Fireball and I have been sleep training all this while.

Inside the deepest parts of our consciousness, that is, the realm of our consciousness, we dragons have something like a big field. Not exactly a field, but how should I explain it? Well, let’s just use valleys.

In our valleys located in our realm of consciousness, we have been training there ever since we took form in our eggshells and hatched.

But yesterday, Fireball and I advanced again.

We don’t have to train ourselves only in the valleys anymore, but we must train our bodies physically too, so that our bodies will have a lot of stamina and become strong enough to be able to endure a long battle.

Ever since we absorbed the dark energy from our mom, we have been growing stronger at a fast pace, and that is enough to make a proud dragon like myself be happy. Sooner than expected, Fireball and I will be able to protect our mom always. She would not even have to raise a single finger.

"What is going on?". Damien muttered while massaging his temples. He turned to Anders, who was behind him. "Go and try opening the door". He said to him.

By the time Damien said that, Fireball had come and stayed beside me.

I curiously watched as Anders walked past Damien and stood in front of the door.

I had expected the same thing that happened to Damien to happen to him, but to my surprise, Anders was able to open the door and even step out of the room.

Meanwhile, as Damien tried to step out of the room, he was sent flying again.

I shook my head in disbelief. ’I see you are having fun frustrating Damien, Fireball’. I mind linked him.

’Of course. How dare he think of leaving the hotel without taking us mighty dragons along with him? This serves him right, Irving. Hmph’. Fireball replied to me.

It’s true that we recently unlocked the power of mind linking. But, since birth, Fireball and I have always been able to mind link only ourselves. But now, we can mind-link whoever we want, especially our mom.

"What is going on?!". The nonchalant and composed Damien had finally lost his temper. He must be truly angry. What a rare sight to behold, all thanks to Fireball’s mischievous acts.

"Why can’t I leave? Did Alpha Anastasia do this to me? Did she use her powers to restrict me from leaving because she knew that I might come after her?". He said and grew more annoyed.

Anders returned to the room.

But Damien, after he breathed out heavily through his mouth, began to walk towards the window and opened it.

I understood what he wanted to do, and I mind linked Fireball, ’Is he crazy enough to jump? Can’t he tell that we aren’t on the second floor of the building? Is he planning to break his legs? Fireball, did you set a barrier around the window too? Make sure that he isn’t able to jump out of the window at all’.

’Why should I, Irving? Since he’s stubborn, I want to see how tough he can be. That is, if he doesn’t break his legs’.

’Fine. Do as you please. If he gets injured, I will tell mom that it was your doing. She might get mad at you. Have you forgotten that Damien is her beta werewolf?’. I said and acted like I didn’t care anymore.

’Hey, that’s not cool, Irving. Besides, why is he our mom’s beta werewolf? It is clear to me that our mom is stronger than him. So what did she still need him for?’.

’You have the brain of a brick, Fireball. Hmph’. I hit his head with my paws as I admitted, before I turned away from him and didn’t spare him a glance.

Damien prepared to jump out of the window and I had already imagined the worst for him.

"I don’t think you should do that, Sir Damien". Anders said as his hand instinctively reached out in the direction of beta Damien.

Ignoring Anders, Damien jumped out of the window.

Bang!

I flinched as I heard a loud noise. It sounded as if two things had collided against each other.

Even Anders flinched.

Suddenly, I saw Damien unconscious on the floor.

’What did you do, Fireball?’. I turned to him and asked after I realized that it must have been his doing.

’’What, Irving? I had to use my strongest barrier against him so that he wouldn’t be able to jump out of the window. Aren’t you happy that I stopped him? So you had better not tell our mom what will make her get annoyed with me. I can’t bear our mom being angry at me’. He said to me before he jumped on the sofa and relaxed there, as if what he had done to Damien was not a big deal.

What kind of sweet brother did the universe give me?

Don’t mind me. I’m being sarcastic.

"Sir Damien!". Anders ran to Damien and tried to wake him up.

I doubt Damien will wake up now, due to the loud impact I have heard.

Fireball indeed knocked him out well.
