"Cap- Captain. That’s the last of them!". A soldier said. His deep voice cracked, since he had exhausted himself.

He was the soldier who was in charge of handling one of the many machine guns.

The captain he was referring to came out of the military battle tank, revealing a muscular, tall, sweaty guy. His neatly cut black hair was drained with his sweat.

His face was cold, and his gray eyes darkened as he stared at the damage that had been done to the city. Up to four skyscraper buildings that were the closest to the fighting scene had been destroyed. Not all the way to the ground, but many parts of the buildings’ bodies have fallen apart.

All the damage done to the buildings was mostly caused by the flying hybrid creatures, because for the soldiers to be able to bring them down, they had to use their fighter jets to bring them down.

His face turned even more cold with regret as he stared at his fellow soldiers.

Most of them were lying dead on the ground beside the dead hybrid creatures, while those who survived had lost either an arm, a leg, or were injured very badly.

The scene before him looked like hell. But he was glad that the civilians weren’t there to witness such a bloody scene.

"Captain, this is the heart of our diamond-heart city. And it is close to the president’s mansion. I think it is best that you leave before someone who knows you spots you here". The same soldier, who had reported to the captain that that was the last of them, came to him and said.
