Sara woke without knowing how she was able to sleep for so long and also without any nightmares. As she shifted on the bed, she felt the space beside was still slightly warm. Her brows pulled together because she didn’t remember anyone sleeping beside her.

She quickly got out of bed on high alert. Even though she knew no one would dare break into the house. She couldn’t help being wary. Did she spend the night with anyone? She checked herself, but there was nothing amiss. That was a relief.

She calmed her racing heart as she convinced herself that no would break into Alexander Legend’s bedroom. If anyone slept beside her, then it must be Alex himself, and that would explain her peaceful sleep. A small smile curved on her lips. He didn’t dislike her after all.

Sensing her presence behind him, Alex turned around. He saw how flustered she was to see him like that but still couldn’t take her eyes off his body, and he couldn’t help the satisfied smirk that appeared on his lips. He was tempted to tease her, but he didn’t want her to run away.

"Good morning," he said to her before she looked at his face.

Her cheeks were so red that he was almost worried about her temperature. "I... sorry that... I didn’t know you would be here, so I..."

"Sara," Alexclosed the distance between them so quickly she didn’t have enough time to react.

"Hm?" He blinked, trying to take a backward step.

"Good morning," he repeated, and she retreated.

"Good morning to you too," she managed to say without stuttering.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked. At his question, he saw her slowly becoming relaxed and less flustered.

Sara picked a trend of her hair and shyly tucked it behind her ear. "Y..yes, I did. Thank you for... for staying with me," she briefly met his gaze and offered a small smile. "I will let you finish your... what you were doing," her eyes trailed down to his torso and lower until they were glued on the towel.

"Like what you see?" He asked teasingly. A playful smirk formed on his lips as she became flustered again.

"Well, uhm.. Do you have a moment later? Once you are done, I’ll like to...uhm, there’s something I have to tell you," She asked in an attempt to dodge his question.

Alex studied her intensely for a moment before he nodded his head. "Give me a moment," he said.

"Thanks," she said, now feeling the weight of what she had just said. Was she really going to confess her feelings to him? His face grew warm once again. She turned around, but before she could leave, she felt his hand around her waist and her back against his chest. "Alex..."

"Just let me hold you, please." He pleaded. He could guess what she wanted to say, and it kinda made him clingy. "Thank you," he said when she stopped struggling and leaned into him. "I have a lot to say to you too, my love," he kissed her temple, and she shuddered at unexpected affection. "I just don’t know where to begin, but I’ll try. That’s a promise."

Sara placed her hand on his own thay he held her in place. Maybe this was the right time to talk. The mood was right, and the place... not so much. But it was still just them. "I am sorry I rejected your touch. I should have known it’ll hurt because it did hurt me, too. I didn’t mean to do that. I just want sure I wanted...that. But I don’t want you mad at me anymore, Alex."

She spun her body around now, facing him squarely. Her hand went up his arms until they came to stop around his neck. "I... don’t know if whay I feel can be called love just yet but you were right, and I can’t deny that anymore..." her thoughts were so jumbled up and coupled with her racing heart, she couldn’t find the rights words to say or speak as clearly as she would have preferred to. "Alex I..." she stopped. They say actions would speak louder than words. Maybe this was the time for her actions to speak on her behalf.

Adding a little force to his hands around his neck, she pulled his closer while she tiptoes to meet him. His silence and intense gaze made her very self-conscious, but she was determined to pass her point across.
