Chapter 57: 57. Meet him in the office

Adam and Malerie could be seen lying naked with their bodies intertwined. While Adam lay on his back and his left hand casually snaked around her waist, his eyes were slowed as he slept. Malerie, who had been waiting for him to fall asleep, quietly pulled away from hold and placed a pillow in her place.

Moving to the edge of the bed, she turned back to look at him to make sure that he was still sleeping soundly. When he didn’t make a move, she stood up and picked up her phone. She scrolled through her contact and found the one she was looking for and dialed it while walking to stand in front of the mirror.

She stood naked before it, and she could see the marks that their moment of intimacy had left. Hickies all over her neck, collarbone, and some could even be seen around her breasts as well fingerprints on her arms. Adam was not at all gentle today.

"Have you thought about what we discussed?" The voice coming from the phone snapped her attention towards it, and she realized that her call had long been answered, but she failed to notice it.

Casting a glance at the sleeping Adam, she decided to head to the bathroom so he didn’t wake and hear what would be discussed.

"I wouldn’t have called you if I hadn’t," she replied. Closing the door to the bathroom, she locked and walked to the bathtub and sat on its edge.

"Glad to hear that, Miss Ross. You and I have the same enemy. We should work together," the woman on the phone said, and Malerie sneered. "What? You don’t believe me?"

"I have been wondering, Miss Archer, what could she have done to you to make you hate her so? I mean, you are her colleague," Malerie asked. It didn’t make sense that the woman wanted to ruin her colleague so much, although she knew jealousy could be at play. "You are also her manager. Public Relations department, is it? So why?"

"I ’WAS’ her colleague. I ’WAS’ her manager. But now I am not," there was so much anger in her voice as she spoke, stressing the ’was’ each time and a smirk curved at the corners of Malerie’s lips. "That bitch had me fired. I want her destroyed," the lady continued and Malerie was finally convinced.

"You hate her, I get it. But what does that javelin to do with me? Whay makes you think I need your help? I am not some jealous colleague trying to destroy someone who’s doing better than me," Malerie said not knowing she was poking at the wring nerves.

"At least I am not a healous mistress who is insecure even after knowing my man is no longer engaged," Jocelyn shot back and Malerie clenched her fist, regreting what she had said. "Now, do you agree?" She asked in a demanding tone thay left Malerie gritting her teeth.

"Yes, I have accepted your proposal..." she managed to say through gritted teeth. "Let’s make her pay."

"That’s more like it,"Malerie could imaging her grinning. Her voice didn’t hide it.

"Where is Adam?" Williams asked when they returned and the boy who was the cause if every problem was nowhere in sight. He looked between Dominic and Lily but none seem to know where their son has gone off to. "Your daughter, where is she?"

Dominic and Lily exchanged glances with each other knowing why Williams was asking for Olivia. Accordinary to Williams’ words earlier, anyone who slanders Sara would be punished and Olivia was at the forefront of people on that list.

"Father, Olivia is just a child, too naive to understand what she was doing. Please reconsider,’ Dominic said. He had stood back and allowed Adam’s punishment despite knowing its repercussions, but he won’t do the same with Olivia. Adam was old enough to know whay he was doing was wrong. He could have at least been a bit more discreet, his fall from grace was on him but Olivia was just a naive little girl who was upset about the wrong her big brother was facing. She didn’t deserve such severe punishment.

"Remind me again, how old is Olivia, Dominic?" Williams asked and Dominic frowned. But he still answered,

"She is eighteen, but..." but Willimas nodded his head and spoke.

"18-years, Dominic," Williams looked at the couple and shook his head in disappointment. "In the face of the law, she is an adult and any crime she commits will be charged accordingly. This is no different," William declared and Lily felt her throat run dry knowing that her family had fallen greatly in the eyes of Williams. "send her to me once she returns."

With that said, Willaims left the couple as he headed for his study. There was still that needed to be done and wasting time her talk8ng to children who wouldn’t learn or listen wouldn’t help.

Entering the study, Mr North closed the door behind them and already inside was David Wilson.

"Is there anything you would like my help with, Mr Crawford?" David asked and Williams sighed. Sitting down, he massaged the space between his brows.

"How many times do I have to say it, David? I have a first name and you can always use it. If you don’t like that in public, how about when we eat alone?" Williams said but David just smiled respectfully. "I would like to speak with your son. Can to8 help me with that?" He gave in knowing David wouldn’t change means if addressing him.

Both David and North were taken aback at the request. Meeting him was quite easy.

"I don’t think that would be a problem at all. I mean he is always with..." David stopped when he saw Williams nodded. They all knew who he was talking about.

"That boy just wouldn’t listen. I am too old to run a company now. Can’t he just take it from me?" Williams said with a bit of irritation in his tone.

"You could always talk to the Young Master. I am sure he won’t always turn you down," Mr North chimed and Williams raised a brow. "It was only a suggestion."

"Ma3k an appointment with Kayden. I’ll meet him in the office," Williams decided and they looked at him as if he had grown too heads.

Who books an appointment with their own child when they can easily talk at home?
