Melting Her Cold Heart
Chapter 56. Is she Sara Goldman?

Chapter 56: 56. Is she Sara Goldman?

A car drove into the mansion and soon, Jordan came out and Mrs was quick to escorted him inside. His face wore a frown as he didn’t know where they had brought him.

He received a call early this morning telling him that something was wrong at Sara’s end wuthout telling him the details but he didn’t expect her to be in a place like this. Seeing the environment alone was enough to get him more worried than if he had met her in a hospital.

"Uncle Jordan," Jordan stopped snd looked up at the man descending the stairs and surprise appeared in his expression.

"Young Master," Mrs Lawson greeted him.

"Thank you, Mrs Lawson. I’ll take it from here," Alex said and the woman bowed her head and left.

"This is a surprise," Jordan said. He didny expect to see the big after he had grown into a full-fledged man. It was no wonder he was called this morning rather than when the incident happened.

"It is," Alex agreed. He hadn’t pnned to see the man so soon but the situation required that they meet. So here they were and there was nothing they could do about it.

"What happened to her? On the call, it sounded serious," Jordan asked, watching Alex closely but his expression gave nothing away. But his body was a bit tense and that told Jordan that Sara was indeed not okay. "Where is she?"

Alex led Jordan who worriedly followed behind him to the bedroom where Sara was still seated by on the seat jear the window sill. Her gaze was locked outside at the flower garden below or so it seemed, they couldn’t be sure.

"Sara," Jordan called, his steps halting at a little distance from her. He had a cautious look on his face as he stared at her. His eyes shifted to Alex but he didn’t say anything.

"Dad...?" Sara turned to look at him before standing up and he also resumed his steps. "I am sorry Dad."

Jordan felt her body tremble and his heart ached to see her like this. Just what really happened to her? Sara hadn’t been this shaken up since fifteen years ago. "How do you feel, Sara?" He asked rather than responding to her apology. If it was asbhe suspected, then whether or not he addressed that, it wouldn’t matter.

"I don’t know," Sara replied as they separated from each other. Her eyes shifted to Alex whose gaze never left her even once and she could feel it since the moment he entered the room.

She didn’t know why but right now, his presence was like a shield to her, a ray of light amidst the darkness, warm and promising security. She knew she was able to stand and talk like this because of him. He seemed to understand what she was going through even though she was spouting nonsensical things. Even right now, there is this pain in his eyes for her— for what she was going through.

"Come, sit down," Jordan’s voice cut through her train of thoughts.

"Uncke Jordan," Alec called drawing their attention to himself. "I have something g to take care of. If you need anything, Mrs Lawson is here. I will be back as soon as possible," Alex excused himself leaving the father and daughter alone to talk. He knew that Jordan’s presence would help her greatly and he wasn’t wrong.

Taking out his phone, he called Kai. Now thay she had someone whom he could trust take care of her by her side, he could attend to some other pressing matters that would require him to leave the house. Realizing some steam was also an order and he knew exactly who to take it out on.

"Boss," Kai called. He could feel this wasn’t a regular call to ask about his thing were fairing at the office.

"Where were they taken last night?" He asked while making his way down the stairs. It wasn’t easy staying calm and collected on her when all he wanted to do walls to make those who were responsible pay. He couldn’t get his hands on Elena Goldman but those she sent, beside the two onside that were killed, everyone else was captured alive.

"The base. Locked behind bars," Kai replied without wasting a second. "I will have Max make arrangement for your arrival,’ he added and paused hearing Alex hum. "Do you need me there?"

"No. I got it," he said and disconnected the call.

Ian was already waiting outside by the time he got there. Seeing the cold expression on Alex’s fave and the frost that coated his eyes, he knew that something gbwas going on to go down. Their destinationwhich had already been made know to him through a text message from Kai was more than enough prove of that.

"President," he greeted opening the door for him.

"You know where to go, right?" he asked and Ian nodded.

"Yes, sir."
